Watching the girl pull on her braid, Ciarin found this to be a strange habit. He tilts his head to the side, a quizzical expression forming on his face. "What is...... wrong?" he asks, genuinely concerned. The girl seemed nice enough, and since Ciarin didn't understand the feelings that go on between some men and women, neither need worry about that. He blinks, still looking slightly like a lost child.

"Well..." Narcissa was reluctant to tell him of her problems. Finally, she said carefully, not wanting him to think her shallow as well, "I was made to be the feminine copy of someone who is incredibly vain. More than anything, though, I don't want to be seen as shallow... Someone in the courtyard insinuated that I was, though, and it upset me..." It was such a silly thing to upset her, but it had.

"I..... understand." he nods, knowing where she's coming from.... kind of. Shallow? Like..... about an inch of water? The boy could've sworn she'd said she was made of clay. After a moment, an expression of enlightenment flashes across his features as he understands what shallow must mean. Some sort of insult, so obviously it wouldn't be something appreciated. He nods, showing that he truly understands what she means now.

Sighing, Narcissa moved so that she could sit on the edge of her couch. She was still playing with her braid, but she used one hand to indicate it was okay for him to use her desk or vanity chair. "I am beginning to think that I overreacted," she admitted. "It was probably an innocent comment, and I was being far too sensitive." Her hands moved from her braid to the hem of her dress, fiddling with it in nerves. One ankle was tucked behind the other as a habit, not aiding the length of her skirt which only hit about mid-thigh when she was standing.

"I don't think....." he starts, pausing for a small breath, "that harm was meant." this statement was longer than what he normally said, but he seemed to survive it. Strangely, he falls into a shadow of silence, blinking once. Speaking made him uncomfortable, and he didn't really understand half of what the girl said to him. He'd moved in, not wanting to be seen has rude, and was currently seated in Narcissa's desk chair. "But maybe...." after about five minutes of silence, he speaks up again. "He didn't account for........ your past..."

(??? When the crap did we switch from afternoon to MORNING??? Okay, make up time!!! I apologize for making an assumed response!!!)

Nodding and sighing, Narcissa laid down on her side again. While she didn't need to sleep, it was a habit she had formed. "We have classes soon, do we not?" she said softly. "Perhaps we should sleep now... I'd rather not fall asleep in the first set of classes..." The clay doll was still mulling over her situation with Leon. A talk between them was probably in order, but she wasn't sure if she had the courage to instigate it. She softly said, "Good night," to her dorm mate and watched him leave, making sure he shut the door behind him.

Unable to dream because she wasn't built for it, her night was soundless. When she woke the next morning, Narcissa woke with a yawn, not sure she was ready to get up. The sun was peeking out her window, warming the surface of her skin that was exposed from her blanket slipping down to around her waist. Pushing it aside and standing, the Greek-modeled girl looked at her reflection in the mirror of her vanity. Nothing had changed, besides her hair now much more rumbled, her dress slightly wrinkled. There was a brush hidden in the vanity's drawers, and she quickly undid the leather tie holding her hair in place. The curls sprang apart, finally free from their confines, creating a mass of indigo-hued waves filled with wicked turns as they tightened into ringlets.

Soothingly brushing the strands free of knots, Narcissa tried to remember what she had today. This morning, she was sure that she had Literature and Math, in that order, but she wasn't sure if it was Science or History first in the afternoon. The schedule was still in her pack, so she would have to look before she left. Once done with her morning sprucing, she rebraided her hair as fast as possible, containing the curls to the best of her ability though some still escaped her, and slipped her sandals back on. Looking in her full-length mirror, she bit her lower lip in thought. None of the others dressed the way she did, that was obvious. Perhaps she could talk to another girl today and ask for helping understanding the mundane world's fashions.

Narcissa didn't bother to worry about it. Instead, she reached into her trunk to pull out her schedule, leaving the mirror in the pack inside the trunk, and stayed unarmed. With no Battle Training today, she just didn't see the point. She left a note on the kitchen counter telling her dorm mate that she was already gone, and headed out for her first class of the day.

Awaking moments after, Ciarin rubs his head as he wakes up. His room is one of interest, completely open on one wall, a thin glass door is all that keeps him from the outside. The room has multiple potted plants, recreating the outside world, only on the inside. His bed is hidden among some of the shorter plants, and he crawls carefully from beneath the blankets. Shaking his head, he glances around the room carefully. Finding what he needed, he pulls open what seemed to be a tree trunk, within stored his clothes. Pulling out his favorite shirt, he leaves it open in the front, attaching the usual black strips of cloth. Slipping on his cross necklace and the bracelet he usually wore, wrapping them around his wrist and neck the number of times called for. Wrapping the long black band he wraps carefully around his upper arm. Yawning, he heads out the door to his own dorm, entering the small common room. Snatching the note from the kitchen counter, he reads over it quickly before heading out the door. Having no real idea where he's supposed to be, he decides to wander the Halls.
