Velopia takes interest in the fishing rod. Oooooh, that should work better than snatching!
She flits about the poll in excitement untill she figures out that 'wait' meant longer than a moment. Then she settles down comfortably for a longer wait. She looks around at the other charpia with greater interest. She's never been around so many charpia at once before.

((Now that you come to mention it, what do Charpia actually eat? o.o))
Barbatos stood on tiptoes and leant over the side of the boat, watching the fishing line arc away into the water. Oooh~ Ripples spread out from the point where it pierced the surface. Gradually, splashes of blurred colour began to congregate around the line. The patterns they made under the gently moving water were almost kaleidoscopic. Barbatos stared, mesmerised.
As she stared, her eyes focused and the patterns transformed into frantically dancing shapes. Fish! Barbatos turned to the others and jumped up and down excitedly, her tail weaving figures of eight in the air. Fish! Fiiiiiish~! She peeked over the side again. So pretty~

Orchid's ears perked up under her hat. Fish? @w@.. She hopped up and bounded over to Barbatos, peeking over the side. Woaaaaaaah! Awesoooome! She joined in the bouncing for a moment and then proceeded to run about the deck excitedly.

I'm Ritika. she said before hearing something about food. She hadn't eaten yet today and was a little peckish. She saw Befu and squeeked. Human! She trotted over a little awkwardly, not having sea legs, and rubbed against the woman's leg like an affectionate cat. Ri likes fish! She looked up at the woman with a hopeful and appreciative smile. As she looked up, a tiny bell was seen around her neck. Not a collar, more like a necklace. A sign she had someone who cared about her. I hope no one minds me being on this trip. She stopped rubbing on Befu's legs and sat down, watching the others looking over the side of the ship- or flying around. At least it isn't lonely.

When people start mentioning fish, Velopia perks up again. She staggers towards the side of the boat, then gives up walking and flits in the air near the spot the fishing line enters the water. She is more than amazed at the number of fish that seem curious about Befu's bait and squeeks with delight.
So many! We will all get some! If this thing is working. Maybe snatching is better...
Velopia glares at the poll as if it is to blame for the lack of fish in the boat. She flits above and around Befu's head, hoping to alert her of the presence of fish and the fact that as of yet there aren't any in the boat.
Get fish! Get fish!

Tiring from her run around the boat, she wondered what else she could do on board. Hmm.. I wonder what things look like from up there... She stared up to the top of the sail, which was held up by a strong, stripped tree trunk. I bet I could see the whoooooole island from there! The small Charpia charged towards it, trying to wiggle up the side of it with her tiny limbs. Her efforts were fruitless, and she decided to sit at the base of it, staring out at the ocean. Well.. hmm.. I like the scenery better here anyways. I'm afraid of heights too! Yeah! So... I don't see why anyone would climb up that thing.
Looking off in the distance, she spotted a small island- a great deal smaller than their own. It seemed only a few acres big, and covered with pretty, sparkling sand and trees. Ooooooo, look at that! she cooed, happily.

Barbatos reluctantly tore her attention away from the pretty fish and strolled over to see what the fuss was about. The new island easily made up for the lack of fish. Wowwie! Is that where we're going? She looked at the human intently in an attempt to produce a response. Then a thought hit her. Ohnononotheremightbesnakesthere might be SNAKES. She stood stock still and shivered visibly, her eyes like two saucers. She let out a small whimper.

Myuuu~? Orchid blinked and looked over. Snakes? Her gaze went between the island and Barbatos a few times, in thought. Hmm.. what's a snake? Is it scary? She bounded up to Barbatos. I has idea! We do dis! Orchid lifted up the other Charpia and tried to balance her on her head. Now we is twice as tall! Scary things will be scared of us! Graaaaa! Graaaaa! She slowly waddled around, attempting to keep her balance.

Waah~! Dx Barbatos was forced to move to avoid falling. She clung desperately to Orchid's head. After a while she tentatively stood up, stretching out her front legs. She wobbled a little, but held her balance. Oo-errr... Soon she was giggling and waving at the other Charpia. Hey, I can see everything from up here. Something on the other island caught her eye. She stared at it, frowning. That's not a tree...

Orchid stopped running around and peeked up at Barbatos. Nyu~? You see something? She herself was unable to see over the boat at the moment, and was curious to know what was going on and if anyone else noticed it.

When she didn't receive any return affection from the human, Ritika sulked a little and started to walk off, but then heard the other Charpia. She looked to them as they made a totem pole and giggled a little until one said she saw something. Ri looked over where she was looking but only saw wood grain. What's over there? Ri ran to the side of the boat and started to scramble up the side to peek over. I... can almost... She slipped and fell on her butt with a startled yelp, then growled and tried again. It was almost comical to see the little golden legs flailing under her as she tried to get her head over the railing. She finally managed to and peeked towards the island.

"Okay guys! Looks like we'll be hitting land shortly. smile Have we caught any fish yet?" Befu walked towards the fishing pole and checked the line. "That's odd.. I can even SEE fish down there.. but it doesn't seem as if any are biting. sad Oh well. At least we'll be ashore soon! Befushi! Prepare for docking like I taught you!"
Befushi sat up straight and ran to the ropes, tugging at a few with her tail to make sure they were secure. She nodded to Befu.
Hey guys. What do you think that tall thing is, yonder? I think I've seen one before.. but I can't place my finger on it...

 You must be mad...All this time Velopia has been watching the fish. She sees them, but in spite of the poll there are none forthcomming. She angrily kicks out the poll, and flies off to pout. And pout she did until the metion of reaching an island where something mysterious is located. She sings to herself as she flies up to see what she can see.
Tall thing? Tall thing. What are you... ...or you wouldn't have come here.

I think it's an alien! Mistral is always telling me that aliens are biiiiiiiig things that fly around and snatch little Charpia for weird experiments! Ritika looked over at the other charpia. I hope he's wrong
