Mask Faced

Sparrow hovered a bit away from the group, worried by a lack of reaction. They didn't see her as a threat, at least, but now she was at a standstill. She couldn't just join the group, but she didn't want to simply walk away after seeing that someone was hurt.

Alendys looked at Sparrow. "Oh, hello," she smiled, lowering the bow and arrow that was aimed at Sparrow just a second before. "Are you skilled in healing?"

"After a fashion, yes." Sparrow said, greatful that the person had noticed her. "It's not magical healing, though." She warned, walking slightly closer.

Victor Seems to be staring out into nothingness until he snaps himself out of it and focused his attention on Chii. " Are you going to be ok?" He asks, looking at the blackened and poisoned tip of the kunia sitting on the ground.

Chii tries to stand but almost crumbles to the ground just as quickly. " I don't know. I can already feel myself getting weak from the poison". He says, wincing with pain.

"I can only do some minor elven healing on Chii. Can you help?" Alendys asked Sparrow, sure that another elf would come in handy. Turning to Chii and knelt down beside him. Alendys started encircling her hands around the air above where the kunia pierced Chii. Blue wafting smoke started forming where her hands were. "Try to be as still as possible."

"I can do something about the poison, I think." Sparrow said, thinking for a moment. She took a vial out of one of her pockets, and nodded. "This ought to work." She said with a nod. "This might take a bit to work, but it should get rid of the poison." She said to him. "Drink it. It doesn't exactly taste all that good, but it's better than dying of poisoning, I'd think."

Chii did as the two women asked him and soon enough he had enough strength to at least be able to walk. He then led the group down into the valley to the home of his master, a vast temple filled with thousands of monks and other martial arts experts and fighters. There seemed to be a very warm breeze and air that only seemed to be in the temple, almost like standing next to a fire. The people began to clear out as a tall man walked out of the temples main doors and began to approach the group.

Sandrin was unconcerned by the heat, or by the man who was approaching them. Indeed, he lounged lethargically against a pillar, and his veil hid his face. Sandrin had purged the poison from his own body system with barely a thought, which was more than he could say for most poisons. He was completely immune to almost all poisons and diseases, but this one was one he'd never come across again. He decided that next time he ran into Nathan, he'd be much better prepared. The Headhunter grumbled, but agreed.

The man approached the group " Welcome to our temple. I trust Chii got you all here safely?" He asks, his voice very arrogant and making it obvious he was the one in charge at the temple.

"Actually, Chii has been hurt. He was poisoned by the thief when he attacked us on our way here". Victor says, holding Chii up over his shoulder and presenting him to the master. The master hovered over with a grace that wasn't seen very often. He examined the wound and motioned for two monks to come over and take him inside the temple. " We have prepared rooms for you all". He says simply, With just a hint of worry for their guide in his voice. He looks over at Sandrin and noticed the knife wound. " you best get that wound checked with Sandrin, before it gets infected. Poison is not something to be underestimated". he says, turning his back. He then simply turns around and heads back toward the temple.

later that night....

" It just doesn't make much sense Sandrin, does it?" Victor asks, Finally taking his armor and hanging it up on a stand. " How did he know we were coming?" He asks, looking over at Sandrin, continuing their conversation about the master of the temple. Victor and Sandrin had been paired together in a room, as all the hero's did.

Sandrin shrugged. He knew the ways that an assassin could track his targets. Using anything from informants, to the darkness that surrounded them. "He could have known in any variety of ways, Victor." Sandrin stretched on his bed. He chuckled to himself when the "master" told him to check his wound. He didn't know much about master assassins. "I think that he probably has a few... friends... in this temple." Informants were the easiest to use. They would work for money, or to keep families safe, or just to see their rivals fall, in some way. "I know that's definately the way that I would have done it. Unless these guys are incorruptible. Then Nathan possibly could have used the dark arts to reach through the ethereal realm just to question a watcher about our actions.

Victor began to pace the room. " I don't know..." he says uneasily. " Something about this just doesn't seem right. " I caught a glance at the way the master was looking at me. It just didn't feel right. And as old as I am, These tired eyes were able to catch something when you fought Nathan. he hesitated. ". Victor says, rubbing he temples. " I don't know. I just...I almost feel like..." Victor walks over to a window that out looked over the temple grounds then turns around. " It's almost like we are working for the wrong person". He says. Victor begins to pace the room again when suddenly a loud crash is heard right outside the room.

Sparrow had ended up staying with the group. She knew that it was better that she not get herself involved in something that was so obviously dangerous, but she hadn't wanted to face the trip home by the time they got to the temple. She laughed quietly, as she stared up at the ceiling of the room she was in. She was getting herself dragged in again, she realized.
A loud crash interrupted her thoughts, and she went over to the door to look for the source of the noise.

Alendys paced back a forth, wondering how they knew just who was coming to get the item back. She didn't want to think about being watched, for if she didn't realize it, that would mean that she is an unskilled night elf. Hearing the loud crash also, she followed Sparrow, having shared a room with her.

Victor rushed out into the hall. it was dark. Almost too dark to see. It seemed very strange though, because the moon was full, yet it was too dark to see even under it's full light.

Sandrin rushed out. His eyes perfectly adjusting to even this dense darkness, magical or not, Sandrin could always see in the dark. He passed Victor, the Headhunter out of its case as he moved past.
