After the seeds had landed on Manndar, Taka followed up the attack by throwing a shuriken at him, then closing the gap between them. He cocked back his arm once again and planted his foot, stopping his body. His arm stopped and then sprung back towards Manndars face. His other cheek to be specific.
((They can if you leave it on for too long. The only way you can get it off is if you take it off by hand (burning your hand in the process), saying the one word that will stop the fire, dousing it with water, or waiting it out.))

Manndar was busy ripping the burning pieces of seed from his skin to notice the shuriken, but Ratatosk hadn't missed it. The squirrel took his helmet and tossed it in the path of the shurien, and the two collided in the midair.
"Moron! You'd have lost this match by now if I wasn't here!!!" Ratatosk yelled at Manndar. "Start pulling your own weight!!"
Manndar was grateful for the squirrel's aid, but the yelling and griping was getting annoying. Manndar quickly rubbed the burning seed residue off his palm onto a tree to his left as Taka came in closer. Manndar could use his arms again, but they were still tingly enough that he barely felt the fire leaving second degree burns on his left palm.
Manndar was going to wait until Taka was in range and then kick low and try to kick Taka right in te left knee cap. Not hard enough to break it but strong enough to jar it or hopefully hyper extend it. Then Manndar will follow up with driving his knee fast and hard into Taka's stomach.

Taka noticed that Manndar had gotten the seeds off and wanted to stop the punch, but it was too late. His fist colided with Manndars face, and at the very second it happened, Taka's knee was struck with pain. Manndars foot had collided onto it, jarring it a bit. Taka gritted his teeth but never took his eyes off Manndar. Taka was aware that a Taijutsu specialist wouldn't be dumb enough to do one attack without a followup, Taka jumped back with his good leg and landed on it as well, Manndars knee just barly missing Taka's stomach. Taka stood staring at Manndar, trying to plan out his next move.

Manndar stumbled backwards and almost tripped over Ratatosk, but he caught his balance and felt his jaw. It wasn't broken, but it hurt.... Not as bad as it had been hurt in the past, but it was still an annoying feeling.
Ratatosk then jumped on Manndar's head.
"You really need to work on our team work, kid." Ratatosk said. "But we'll worry about that later. First is this punk!"
"Risu." Manndar whispered. "You ok?" A tiny squirrel came out from his left pocket and let out a tiny squeak.
Manndar then ran with Ratatosk still on his head and went to flying side kick ((dynamic entry sweatdrop )) Taka, both Risu and Ratatosk ready to react.

Taka reached his arms up and created handseals. A barrier of gravity formed around him as Manndars fott came closer, but was puched to the ground the second it came close enough. Taka released the jutsu and stuck out his hand. "I've had enough. I have little chakra left. I need to open my chakra pours more. I'm finished testing my jutsu now, so if you don't mind I am just going to stop here."

Manndar landed with a thud and looked up at Taka. "That sounds good." Manndar said with a sigh. "Damn, I could go for a coffee right about now."
