"Yup!" she smiled in return, but her mind shifted elsewhere at her friend's soft frown. Apparently she had let something slip. Otherwise Adeline wouldn't have such a perplexed look. Which didn't look half bad on her, and it left Hikari wondering if it was a type of model trait. Did they teach them that? To look cute when they were thinking? While thoughts about what other strange things professional models had to learn flew about in her head, she pressed a finger to her lip. She should probably take some lessons on the girl's behavior. Maybe being cute for once would do her some good. In more ways than one, too.
"What?" The word was an immediate question as she jerked herself back into the conversation. "I worry about everyone. After you've been a school's care taker for awhile, it's second nature." That was fact. There were times when she'd seen some random kid walking down the street alone, so she followed them until they were safe. Yes. The police had mistaken her for a stalker once, but it was all worked out in the end. Not until she had had to sit in a dimly lit room with an a** of a cop for two hours, of course.
Food. That was right. She hadn't exactly eaten anything that day -- not that she had the appetite to. But the cafeteria more than likely had hot tea. Hot tea sounded very nice, and it worked like a mini-antidepressant for her. If she went, it meant more time to talk to Adeline too. It was win-win-win situation. Hopping to her feet, she offered a playful salute. "Aye, aye!" Her flats found their way back onto her feet before she began rocking and back and forth on her heels. "Then we'll go get some lunch! To the cafeteria!" Like a kid, she bounced toward the bedroom door. Vaguely, she wondered why she hadn't gone into acting. It was certainly one of her talents. But it wasn't all fake. Adeline really had made her feel better. A lot. For that, she was really thankful. Spinning around on her toe, she placed her hands on her hips. "Lemme know when you're ready!"

"Alright, then!"
Adeline's smile brightened, shifting from almost forced to completely effortless. She was strictly trained in modeling courses she'd taken that any emotions she was feeling and wanted to share should be conveyed through a facial expression and her body language. So it was fairly natural when she was happy, her posture completely opened up to something far more carefree than the stiff adjustments that needed to be made when she was posing- her happiness was natural. Hikari seemed to light up again after food was mentioned, like the bubbly girl Adeline had met purely by concidence. She supposed she should thank her lucky stars her new friend was so intrguing, and generally unpredictable.
She couldn't ever read exactly what the girl was going to do next, and it left her in numerous bemused states thoughout the day- puzzling over why she'd done this or why that had to be done particularly like that.
And she'd only known Hikari a day!
"Hold on, I gotta do something real quick."
The girl dissapeared into the bathroom, pulling out a brush and running over the hair that had been untamable only hours before and making sure the familiar sheen on the onyx was lit before moving to her scar. Adeline was almost proud of the mark- blood neatly dried in a fresh scab. There wasn't much cover up could do, plus she enjoyed the simple flaw in her otherwise doll-like face. It made her look human. Skipping out of the bathroom, she grabbed some money from her purse before turning to Hikari, and the door. "Let's go~!" Her tone made it seem like they were going to Disneyworld instead of the cafeteria.

Hikari meerly waited at the door, rocking back and forth on her heels as she waited for her friend. She felt like a little kid, impatiently waiting for their mother. Minus the whole impatient bit, of course. Out of habit, she began combing her fingers through her long hair, attempting to make it look suitable. The thought of brushing it before she left hadn't occurred to her. Magic could have been used to fix it perfectly, but there wasn't a reason to. She preferred doing simple things on her own. It made her feel normal. Something she certainly wasn't. "You look gorgeous!" she sang when Adeline returned, her pretty ebony locks flowing behind her.
Spinning almost a little too happily, she flung open the dorm door. I'm such a dork, she thought wryly, that happy smile of hers still on her lips. "Let's go brighten up the cafeteria with Adeline's beauty~" One of her dark eyes closed into a wink. Well, if her friend was going to act all excited, she might as well too. Besides, it was kind of fun acting stupid. Nostalgic. And that kind of nostalgia was something Hikari could definitely deal with.

Sanoko laid in her bed. She had another sleepless night. She sighed as she got up and grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom to shower. She slipped out of her clothes that she wore yesterday, she didn't really think she needed any pajamas, and stepped into the shower. Washing her hair first before washing the rest of her body. Once she was out and dressed in a long sleeved deep pink shirt with a lighter pink mixed with purple sleeveless shirt over it and light colored blue jeans she looked in the mirror at deciding what to do with her hair. She french braided it, she didn't bring the ends up to her scalp where her hair started to flow to it's length because she didn't really feel like wearing it that way. After walking out of the bathroom and putting away her dirty clothes and making up her bed she walked out of her room to maybe go get some breakfast or something.

This school was something else. King didn't have to see it to have that opinion, unlike most things, it was something one could instinctively feel. He had gotten lost trying to find this place, and then spent a good 10 minutes just observing the area. He made mental notes about good escape routes, where the exits were located, how many windows there were and blind spots. It was when the sea bag in both hands began to get a little heavy did he move on to get into his new room. He found it.
Room Two, he'd be sharing the place with two guys. Not like it mattered, even though this was his first time staying in a dormitory, room mates weren't something he detested. Plus, with his parents running track record, he wouldn't be here for long.
A shame.
The youth shoved the door open with his shoulders and stood at the threshold dropping both rugged sea bags. Upon them were stensiled his last name.

It wasn't odd, in fact it was common practice in the military that everyone address their fellow comrade by their last name. Most went on with out knowing the other's first name. Plus to use it made you and the other very close. It was personal, just like how the Japaneses did it.
The head phones still cranked out music that tuned the whole world out. As a courtesy, King lowered them to around his neck as he looked about. "Hello? Is anyone here?" He called. He'd seen a few students walking about but hadn't talked to anyone really. It'd be good to establish a point of contact. After all, this was his first time doing this, he was a little out of his element. He wondered what his parents were thinking. Trying something new with him? Did they hope that he'd learn to get along with youths his age this way? King expelled a sigh at his parents' latest attempt to fix his jacked up social life even though he'd long ago given it up. Gingerly he dragged both sea bags in far enough to kick the door shut with a foot.
