Sain's sensitive nosed picked up on the rosy scent. Heavenly. She loved roses. Especially the white ones. She snapped herself out of her thoughts as he spoke in a song-like voice. He was such a cute kid. Fleur was his name? It reminded her of a garden. She liked this boy.

"Sain Butterfly. Nice to meet you Fleur!" she grinned, his cuteness inducing her own ears to twitch pleasantly.

Fleur actually smiled lightly, a smile meant in good intent. "A pleasure to meet you, Miss Butterfly." Irony? The Flower and the Butterfly. It must have been fate that they met. Their purposes in this strange tavern unknown to both, and to find such a pleasant creature in such a dank and strange place confused Fleur. "Miss Butterfly, tell me, what is your buissness in such a dark place? Are you headed somewhere by chance?"

Sain giggled softly. Such an adorable child, yet he seemed to hold wisdom that no child should know. She couldn't help but get attached to him, even though she knew it might not hold long. still, that was a good question. Where was she headed? She had no idea really. She was just... about.

"Ahh, I don't know. I was just traveling along in the forest and happened upon this place and I thought I might come in for some ale or tea and cookies." she shrugged. May people found her odd, but she didn't care. No sense in lying to a boy she liked.

Fleur tipped his head a little, slightly confused. Even he had second thoughts on this place, and the more he examined this girl, the more he thought her name suited her. Butterfly, she floated where the wind blew. This was simply a quick view though, and strangely, Fleur wasn't one to jump to conclusions. "It's very dangerous out in the forest, especially when it gets dark. Nightfall is soon, do you plan to stay here?" He asked with as much concern which he could muster....which wasn't much. Fleur's emotions were almost null, and even though his cuteness masked his face, behind this boy was a strange stoicism. It was a miracle Fleur was enjoying himself now, though not as much as a surprise with a girl such as Sain.

Sain sigh and looked dreamy for a moment. Her mind was getting carried away with her, and then it passed and she examined Fleur again. She had been right, he certainly harbored wisdom beyond his years. Perhaps it was that which drew her to him. Or maybe it wasn't. She didn't know, nor did she continue to think upon it.

"I really don't have many other places to go, but I usually just spend the night in the treetops. I like being with nature." she smiled, leaning her head on her right palm.

Gabrielle ate in silence. She could not help but smile at Karma's remarks. She liked the sort of naivety which was coming from the other holy knight. She had lost that side of her personality years ago. She wished to have it back...and maybe not after all. It had been an eye opening experience. Her second crepe finished, she took her time to drink her cider.

Her eyes were looking at the boy and the new coming girl without shame. She did not try to hide her gaze. Even from tables away she could smell the flower. She smiled, not an happy smile though. Here is how the predator attracts his prey...consciously or unconsciously... She spoke aloud enough for Karma to hear, although she was half talking to herself. "He is quite beautiful indeed..."

She gave a closer look at the girl. She was pretty...and young. And she was...a neko. Gabrielle had not noticed and she looked towards Karma. "Lady Karma...it looks like you are not the only neko girl in this room...maybe you should great her?" she suggested, although it sounded more like a question. She had no clue if there was a special relationship between nekos...or if it was like between human.

Fleur smiled again. "I can honestly say the same thing." Fleur said with a little giggle. It had been a long time since he had been so giddy, and he loved the Irony in the situation. Fleur hid his sadness though, this girl had missed his true self by seconds. Many viewed Fleur as a monster...perhaps he'd keep it a secret from her... at least for as long as he could.
"I love sleeping in trees... it's so peaceful up in the canopies at night... Though you do have to be careful with some critters. They can be very territorial if your not careful..." Fleur was enjoying himself, despite the weary eyes and the strange atmosphere. Most eyes still shifted in his direction, and many whispers still spoke of him. He looked to the two ladies, Gabrielle and Karma for a moment before turning back to Sain.
The succubus came back with Sain's ale, placing it on the table quickly before scuffling away. There was fear in her eyes, and a weary look upon Mr. Nobody's face as he continued to clean glasses.
Still, Fleur was rather content, continuing to give off the sweet scent.

Karma ooked at the girl then at Gabrielle. "my bond with Neko's is no stronger than a bond between humans. possibly worse... a majority of Neko's are cocky and arogant. I try and avoid people like that... I guess it doesn't make me any better though." she said in a soft voice. "Gabrielle... why... do you hide some things... or block them out..." This was a question not ment to be answered therefore she answere it herself. "we say we don't want something... and when it happens we enjoy it... this was my situation. I was abused... but I still told myself I never wanted to be a holy knight. I wanted to be a dark knight...and get revenge... it was all a lie... I never wanted revenge and I desprately needed someoe with a kind heart... I was injured and left to die because I refused to fight and I ended up a holy knight... I tried to resist but I ended up enjoying myself." She said with a faint smile on her face. "I could never seek revenge... and I could only be kind... it was heaven on earth... can you sence the irony..." She said obviosly refering to her comment on the child.

Abel, feeling uncomfortable about all the people and such flooding and talking rampantly he slipped out of the Tavern, forgetting to pay for anything he'd used. I've got to find somewhere quieter... He thought as he left the area.

Sain was naive, and didn't even notice the whispers and glances. More like actually, she ignored them. Whatever the reason they were so terrified of him, she didn't care. He wasn't doing anything to her. She liked him, and she would stick by him. Sain happily picked up her ale and sipped from it. It was sweet and tangy, full of flavor. She set the glass back down and looked into Fleur's eyes and smiled.

"Yes, some of the creatures are quite insistent that I leave, but I usually know what trees I can and can't rest on. I've lived in this forest most of my life. It holds alot of memories." she continued smiling and took another sip.

"Memories..." Fleur repeated softly. As Sain looked into his eyes, they suddenly changed color to match her own. It would be like a color mirror. This was a natural reaction to Fleur when he addressed someone, sometimes his hair would even change color, but thankfully it was only when he was flustered or upset, which was hardly ever. "As lovely as nature is, you must be more careful... the earth is beautiful, but it can hide it's deadliness..." What was this? Was he hinting her at his own self? Was this a sort of warning? Whatever it was, it made his stomach a bit unsettled, and he slowly looked away with a sad hint in his eye, focusing his gaze at the table for a long moment. Memories... he thought to himself as his mind kind of wandered off. Suddenly, the whispers became a little louder.

Sain looked concerned at the little boy as he seemed to trail off. His eyes had changed colors and then he simply seemed so very... sad. Sain leaned in a bit closer to him and softly stroked his head in a very motherly way. She wanted to comfort him, and hopefully she could help.

"I don't mind if the earth is dangerous. I'd love to die at the hands of nature's beauty, rather than the filthy hands of man." she smiled softly, speaking to him in a gentle tone.

Memories... Fleur thought once more. As Sain stroked his hair, Yata thought...of his mother. The way she would comfort him. She would hum him his favorite lullaby...as he stroked his hair. And though Fleur wanted to believe he was stronger than this... feelings of regret and of pain always brought him to his knees. He was a monster, who would never be loved. Ever. Fleur looked up at Sain, the sadness in his eye replaced by his usual gaze as his eyes changed again. "Do you hear what they say?" He looked to the people in the room, eying the two and whispering their confusion. "You shouldn't be around me..." Fleur said as he shifted away from Sain's comfort. "They all fear me... despise me... why are you any different?" He said rather coldly, shifting his gaze to stare Gabrielle down with his same stoicism. That woman... she viewed him like all others in the room... perhaps even with a sort of hatred. He could feel it. It made him sick....

Sain let him shift away. What did she care what they said? If she listened to what 'they' had said, she'd be dead by now. They told her not to leave the pack and go off by herself when on patrol, and the pack got killed. They told her not to sleep in the canopies of the trees, and when she came down one morning, a few women had been raped and their husbands killed. Some had been taken off to be slaves. And he listened to them? She did things her own way, no matter what 'they' said.

"Because I have no reason to fear you. Fear is only an excuse. Why should I care they say you're a monster, for fear you for what some stupid people say? I don't know that for sure. You've shown me nawt a monster, but a sweet boy who I would love to be friends with. What do I care for them? They care for me nawt, and they care for you nawt, so why should either of us care for them?" she retorted softly. That was her philosophy. She was indeed, quite like her name.

"They are the dominance... ugly, fearful humanity. Mortals who say they are greater than the god's, and therefore, are. They are corruption... they are greed, they are filth...they are the law" Fleur said, practically mouthing the words at Gabrielle. "You show me kindness..." Fleur said, breaking his gaze with the holy knight to turn back to Sain. "...but you have not seen who I am." Fleur looked to Sain softly. "I cannot stay in your presence much longer, Miss Butterfly... for I fear for your health." Fleur stood, quickly walking to the door. "Goodbye, Miss Butterfly. I thank you for your kindness... but I must bid you farewell..." Fleur quickly opened the door to take his leave. Any longer, and Poor Sain would be feeling his curse... Saddened, he left, as he was forced to. As he needed to... it was for the better. He would only cause pain.
