However, the Scyther made no move to strike at Chloe, instead, he stepped forward, considering her for a moment.
"I'd be honored if you would lend me your skills to help fight," Chloe finished, offering a polite bow to the creature. The bug type was a bit taken back at this. After all, he had hardly even seen any humans, but the ones that he had met were more obsessed with tossing Safari Balls at him when he was napping. This was the first one to actually approach him and ask for his help.
The Scyther paused, this was no small decision to make. He'd never be free again, but, as he considered Chloe, that wouldn't necessarily be a negative thing with her standing beside him, he realized.
Stepping forward, the Scyther held out one of his blades, Chloe resisted the urge to take a step back, feeling more than a little vulnerable. However, the Scyther smiled, resting his blade gently on Chloe's shoulder, nodding.
"You'll join me?" Chloe gaped, as the Scyther took a step back, nodding once more.
"Scy, ther scythe," he declared, crossing his blades as he returned an ever-so-slight bow back to Chloe.

"Thank you so much!" Chloe smiled, reaching into her bag as she retrieved a Safari Ball. The Scyther took the ball easily, nodding his agreement, before vanishing into the ball. It didn't even shake once, before pinging, signaling the capture.
Chloe watched in disbelief as the ball was transported out of the park. That had gone better than she could ever have hoped.

Chloe sighed with relief. She was glad to have been able to talk the Scyther into joining them. It would be definitely awesome to have the skilled fighter on her side.
She noticed the Lickitung once more (was it just her or was that thing following her?!), but she let it be. It seemed more curious about Chloe than anything.

Feeling just a bit better about her situation, Chloe had a lighter step as she continued on her way through the Safari Zone. She really couldn't wait to have the Scyther alongside her. Althoughs he knew she had to train the rest of her party first. She really was interested in learning more about the Scyther, he seemed a bit fierce, but strong. And he had a bit of compassion, she noted. After all, he had decided to come along with her once she had explained her situation.

Chloe knew she only had enough time for perhaps one or two more chances before she had to call it a day, however.

"Alright now, little one, you have to cut me some slack, I'm trying to find some specific Pokemon here," Chloe tried to reason with the Togepi, who only looked up at her with puppy eyes until Chloe sighed, emptying her bag of all the rest of the bait that she had stored there.
"This is all I've got, kay?" she explained to the Togepi, pointing to the now bait-less bag. The Togepi examined it for a moment, before nodding, settling down to eat its haul. Chloe sighed, standing as she continued through the bushes. Hopefully that would be the last of that.

Chloe kept her eyes peeled as she entered the beginning area of the Safari Zone. By now the entry gate was clearly within sight. However, something caught Chloe's eye.
"A moving rock..." Chloe commented, eyes narrowing as she watched a boulder plod along. It took her a moment to recognize it, but when she did, she grinned.
"Its a Ryhorn!" she laughed, shaking her head. Awesome luck for her last try, she mused.
"Okay, now to see if it'll come along with me..." Chloe murmured. She was all out of bait, and she sure as hell wasn't going to chuck a rock at a Ryhorn. She didn't feel like being a pancake...
