Things had started out well, but now the Basilisk was ready. In an effort to get Shintoe off, it rammed into the already half-fallen rig and rubbed its body against it. If Shintoe was to hold on, he'd be crushed.
But that wasn't the snake's only attack. While the others were distracted with Shintoe's health, the tail shot up from underneath and lashed out, hitting the Garif, red head and (*) Sheena all at once.

None of the attacks seemed to work anymore. The scales were now not only packed tightly but had grown stronger, with the consistancy of mithrill, and the simple coating from the fangs was now dripping. Having scraped Shintoe off, the creature went straight for those who were nearest, Kaiser and Ceris, making a long swoop toward them. Both managed to dodge out of the way, but some venom splattered on Kaiser's shoulder.
"AH!" He yelped, his shoulder steaming, "That's more than poison!"
"Acid eh?" Ceris smiled, "Nice."

Across from them, the tail submerged from sight, soon striking out after. There was no telling where it would appear next, and Jyesari and Sheena were subject to several surprise attacks.

While her master struggled with the snake, Cta ran to Kaiser and began to cast several cure spells, keeping him awake for the moment but not stopping the acid.

Shintoe had began making his way back to them after being scraped off of the beast, "What is wrong with Kaiser?" he yelled, having not herd Ceris's comment.

Sheena was strugling with the constant surprise attacks, doing all that she could just to keep from being killed by this beast, "What should we do now, with this things skin getting so hard the only soft spot on this thing is the insides now"

Shintoe had finally made in back and stood near Ceris, "So now that all the great Ceris can do? and you where so boastful at first," he said just trying to upset her, as he through back the hood of his cloak.

Sheena quick ran away from the tails assault, making her way to Kaiser, "Here this should hopefully make it better." she said pouring a thick green liquid over his should that made an awful smell but did weaken the acid.

Shintoe got up after a bit helping Jyesari up he looked around, "Umm Ceris, where is Kaiser?" he asked as he was not seeing Kaiser anywhere around, a little confused by this.

Sheena was seated on there ground next to where Kaiser had been staring blankly at the Basilisk, "did your really do what i think you just did?" she asked confused and almost a little startled by it.

Shinote stared at the corpse of the the beast for a while before he said, "you didn't do what i think you did, did you?" He stood silent as he pieced together what had happened, and after he realized it he couldn't help but brake out in laughter, "My god woman, your truly are a crazy one after all. using your own teammate like that"

"I'll take you up one that bet, 200 gil he pissed all over himself" Shintoe put in "and another 300 gil says that he doesn't get out of there by himself.

"Shouldn't someone help him get out of there?" Sheena said as she watched, "wait never mind what i just said I want to see if the runt can get out of there by himself."
