I think that really goes with any genre. People will always dress accordingly to the music they listen to in one form, manner, or another.

yeah...like if you listen to rap, you wear a hat wrong with the tags still attached, oversized pants, that are also expensive even though they look like any other pair of jeans, and hang down around your knees and a tshirt that cost like 100 bucks, even though the only thing that sets it apart from any other thshirt is it has some rappers name on it
hehe
one time i ended up in a fight with a person dressed like this....he started insulting me i insulted back, it got physical. Long story short, it ended with me winning, and while he was down on the ground i stood over him and said"At least i can fight in what i'm wearing"

People don't care about music anymore. They just want to be part of the scene to say that they're part of the scene. It's rediculous. The amount of poseurs now-a-days is just getting out of hand. I hate when people allegedly LOVE the bands, then pirate their music. You're hurting them... not helping!

That depends where you are, really. I admit that the scene is getting more and more like this worldwide, but I don't see it as much where I am; the people that go to the local alternative bar tend to be really passionate about the music above anything else.

Pirating is a way of life for some people. Get over it. Just because someone pirates does not mean that they are not passionate about the music they listen to.

Hell, I've pirated before. It's a good way to preview a cd before you buy it.

Had it not been for pirating I can guarantee I would not have found 99% of my favorite bands.

Yep. Hell, had it not been for pirating all I'd know about the entire Industrial music movement would have been that Fear Factory and KMFDM exist. I never would have stumbled upon the giant valley of awesome that came with looking up these bands in good old LimeWire.

You use LimeWire? Why? its so easy to get viruses from that. I had a freind who dloaded a s**t load of plugins for FL8, ironically, called it Plugin Pack 666. The irony of it? It was filled with Trojans....
Use Soul Seek, or DC++, or Torrent. Not LimeWire

By the way, Fear Factory is awesome!!! Slave Labor and Architect are my favourite songs, and the "Cars" cover they did by Gary Numan was great
