INACTIVEUser Name: Zevran Arainai Name: Djelani Yatade, a.k.a ‘Tau.’ Age: Twenty-seven. Race: Elf. Gender: Male. Rank: 5th. Faction: Knights of Internal Darkness. Elements: Earth/Poison.
Height: 5’9’’ Weight: 160 lbs, without armor. Birth date: November 5th. Weapons: An enchanted wooden war scythe with various scraps of material tied to the hilt.
Techniques: Tau’s elemental affinity is predominantly dedicated to the use of nature and the Earth’s plant life. For each spell, he uses a unique chant in a tongue foreign to all else, aside from practitioners of the old elven voodoo magic. It is unknown, however, whether the chants are there simply for show or if they are actually required to perform the spells. He cannot use more than one at a time, save for spells that have a permanent effect, such as Ironbark and Deathroot.
Nature’s Call: The most common chant used by Tau that allows him to control living plant life. He can accelerate and decelerate growth, and bend those plants to his will. It is with this spell that allows him to entangle one with vines, or trap one within a tree.
Withered Wood: A chant that conjures dead, twisted, black trees from within the ground to be manipulated by their caster. This spell affects dead plants as well, but whenever revived, those plants remain black and stand for as long as they are undisturbed. After their use, if touched, those black plants turn to dust.
Ironbark: A enchantment that strengthens the bark of a tree so that its durability reflects that of the strongest steel. A wooden sword affected by this spell can be used just the same as any other sword without breaking or even splintering.
Whispering Wilds: A chant that stirs the spirits of the forest so that the conjurer can hear their words, sense their feelings, and see what they see.
Deathroot: A dangerous enchantment that creates monsters out of plant life. A beautiful flower that is blessed with this spell will often curl into a twisted, poison-spitting plant with snapping jaws, with a mind of its own. These plants do not obey their casters and are most often set as traps.
Venom: Because Tau was blessed with such a fond affinity toward his elements, his blood is laced with liquid poison that is lethal upon ingestion or contact with another’s bloodstream. It burns those who do not possess an affinity to poison to the touch. Tau believes that although he hasn’t felt any effects from his blood-poison, it is slowly killing him.
There are many limits to Tau’s abilities. Naturally, a forest or jungle is the ideal setting for him to use any of his chants. However, it is impossible for him to create and manipulate life where there is none. The woods can reject his plea to ‘whisper’ to them if they please, and Deathroot enchanted creatures may turn on their own casters and attack them. Ironbark is a lengthy process that takes place overnight and requires a great amount of concentration. Large objects take longer to turn, while the smallest ones can take mere minutes.
Bio: Tau hails from an elven subspecies that originated in the swamplands and bears all marks of his mysterious lineage. These elves rarely ever leave the safety of the swamps and it is rare to see them wandering the world. This particular breed of elves is more of a tribal clan, made up of hunters, gatherers, wise elders and wild children. Each family belonging to the clan carries a tattoo upon their faces that serves as a testament to their lineage and rank that is governed by the accomplishments of their elders. Those who were born to hunters will become hunters, and those who are born to traders become traders.
Tau’s particular markings consist of blackened circles around his eyes and on his ears, which had been given to his father and grandfather before him. His blackened eyes serve as his family mark and also place him as a destined warrior amongst his clan. On the left side of his face, Tau possesses other distinctive markings: three slashes along his cheek and chin. Those markings have nothing to do with lineage, nor ranking, but are given to the few elves that were discovered practicing the dark arts. As a marked man, Tau was exiled from his family line and was forced to become a part of the ‘Yajiti Gharafuda,’ or the ‘Circle of Warlocks.’ At that time, it was made up entirely of aging wizards who had been driven into the darkest corners of the swamplands away from their families for decades.
Tau felt a deep devotion to the dark elven arts and his affinity towards it was strong; stronger than any other. He had so much faith in his talent that as soon as he was given the ‘Mark of the Claw,’ he willingly forfeited his warrior status and set off to train with the small tribe of dying mages, to inherit their craft before they passed on. While living in the solemn marshes, Tau discovered and developed his elemental craft until the marshes could offer no more to him.
It was difficult for Tau leave the swamps that he’d called his home since birth. Like many marsh elves, he knew nothing of the world outside and heard only rumors of its cruelty. The world called to him, though, and after many months of struggling to re-learn the training he’d received as a warrior in the old clan (and even going so far as to kidnap and kill his mentors), he finally left the swamps. His eternal affinity towards the dark arts persuaded Tau to join the Knights of Eternal Darkness. Although his training has rendered him a well-enough warrior, Tau often admits that he is more comfortable using magic.
Personality: After many years spent solitarily in the darkened swamps, Tau became eccentric. He became the perfect image of a man touched by magic, spouting in foreign tongues and wearing the bones, skins, and feathers of felled beasts. Upon leaving those marshes and residing in regular society, his oddness slowly melted away. Tau is very highly spiritual, worshipping nature itself instead of the Gods of other cultures. He believes that all creatures have a destiny of their own and that every single thing happens for a reason. Throughout his training, he has struggled to maintain an optimistic interior, befriending all of his allies and giving his loyalty entirely to the Dark order. Although it has been some years after Tau left the swamps, he is still learning about the world and there are many things that he has not seen. Even so, he has proven to be highly adaptable no matter where his missions take him.
Appearance:
Tau is not a picturesque, tall, bright, and luminous wood elf. He bears darkened skin and the blackest shade of hair. Upon his visage are distinctive marks around his eyes and along his face that appear to be inked directly into his skin. White scars line these marks as if inflicted intentionally, and his eyes are a brilliant gold that stands out remarkably against his darkly shaded skin. His muscle mass is greater and his stature is much less elongated than that of the standard forest elf.

User Name: Ultimashade Name: Aideen Niall Age: physical age is 19, but she's hundreds of years older than Zero is. Race: Demon Gender: Female Rank: 5th Faction: Knights of Internal Darkness Elements: Ice, Darkness Weapons: Has a dagger quite similar to Zero's blade, though it retains a mundane look and a portion of it's previous energy. It's blade itself is invisible, but it's about three feet long. The only way to notice this blade is to get cut by it, the hilt is really all that's visible. It isn't a very thick blade so it can be swung easily. It's true power is sealed for now like it's counterpart. It truly becomes a nodachi, which is seven to nine feet long. It also becomes visible, but the sight of it makes it look very angelic, though it's power is far from that. When struck by it's true form, a small amount oflife can be transfered to the user of the blade, though only somebody of second or first rank could truly use this powerful form. Techniques: Two very simple techniques, similar to Zero, almost. Her actual demonic form is icy, and very versitile. Agility is increased, but in return her demonic form can take less damage than her human self normally would. She gains gliding capabilities for a short time. With darkness, she can actually use surrounding shadows to form a protective barrier. In a bad situation, as a last resort, the shadows can form up and create a behemoth of pure darkness, though it requires much mental training and knocks her out while this is active. Bio: Though Zero got lucky and ended up joining with the Holy Knights, Aideen was a bit different. Zero is her brother, though known only to Aideen and a few others that connect to their past. Aideen was born hundreds of years before Zero, two hundred to be exact. She had everything a normal demon would have, a demonic form, and control over shadows themselves. Her parents never shared the same ideas with their daughter, she was a very opprotunist type of person. Though her dreams were always of joining the Holy Knights, she never met theier requirements. When she first discovered she was going to have a brother soon, she could think of nothing else other than that. When Zero was born, there could be no celebration, a murder occured that scarred Aideen deeply, she vowed revenge on the killer, but unbeknownst to her, after a few years, Zero tracked and killed the killer. She berated herself for letting something like that happen, life gone, promise broken, and family lost, Aideen had nothing truly left. She noted a glimmer in the room, the assassin had a hilt that retained the power of demons slain. It only seemed like a hilt, there was a blade invisible to the eye which shocked her greatly because even as blood splashed on it's edge, it seemed as though it still wasn't there, and looked as though no blood touched it. With renewed resolve for herself she did the best thing she could think of, reverting to her natural demon ways. The blade is a constant reminder of her brother with no name. She actually believes she can one day find him, though at opposite ends, it's a slim possibility. Zero always believed in goodness, but Aideen was different. She wandered until finally her only real choice to continue on was to actually join the Knights of Internal Darkness. She swore by her own blood to not only find Zero, but to protect him from the shadows where she belongs. But her current story starts in a realm of true reality in her book, it is the first step to everything... Personality: Aideen to put her personality simply is an opprotunist. She takes every chance she gets to do something, be it evil or good, but it's almost always evil. She isn't bad herself, but she could be viewed that way. She actually shares a deep compassion for somethings around her like her brother. She can "see" beauty where none exists sometimes. She has a wilder nature than her brother and is often called cocky because of it. She is not the most typical of Dark Knights that's for sure. Appearance: [Believe me, that armor is harder and heavier than it looks]

User Name: Sage_Nashae
Name: Mannix
Age: 23
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Rank: 5th
Faction: Knights of Internal Darkness
Elements: Poison/Fire
Weapons: Arms and legs, Mannix has no need for weapons thanks to his years of training, though if he has to he may use a quarter staff from time to time.
Techniques: Burning Fist - Flames erupt around Mannix's fists. This combined with his already strong attacks results in severe burns. Through the further use of ki he can project the flame out a slight distance . For now though this is minimal.
Kiss of the Viper - A kiss can be the deadliest thing on earth. This goes double for Mannix. One touch of the lips and he exhales a vile poison into his opponent. This poison causes the larynx to spasm shut and the the muscles to enter a paralysis. This forces the victim to enter a state of dry drowning and suffocation. This is perhaps the most painful way that he can kill and leads to the most entertainment for Mannix. This forces Mannix to remove his mask an reveal his identity to his victim so most often it is a last resort, especially when it comes to using it on other men.
Breath of the Dragon - Through the concentration of ki in his throat Mannix can project fire from his throat. There are ways to increase the range of this attack using alcoholic beverages and other flammable liquids. Though going to the liquor cabinet would most likely raise some questions about wether or not this monk is actually a monk or not.
Bio: It was night in the dark world as rainless thunder resounded over head providing slight flashes of light in the sky and along the cobble stone path that led up to the mountain side monastery. A young woman in shame moved along the path in secrecy a bundle wrapped and held in silence within a basket. She hastened to the large wooden grates setting the basket just in front of it, pausing only for a moment to pray to the great gods that she should be forgiven for the deed that she was currently following through with, deceiving her husband and lord. Within the basket rested a baby soundless and imperfect. He was not meant to be accepted by the family yet the young mother could not bring herself to kill the child. At least here at these gates he stood a chance of survival. She left that place never to return again. The monks found the child in the early morning amazed. The child bore no notes nor any signs of identity as if the gods had blessed them with one to take care of and train, so they named him Mannix, the little monk, and took him into their care.
It took some time but soon enough Mannix's imperfection was discovered. The child was a mute. Never did a sound escape the child's throat. So it was decided that the boy would be raised and would become one of them. Never was the boy asked what he wanted. As the boy grew the monks taught him their ways to achieve enlightenment through the study of martial arts and asceticism. The boy though had other plans. Deep down within him there was a raving being fed by the monks that they grew unaware of thanks to the lack of verbal communication. That craving turned into a steady growing addiction that caused Mannix to long for violence. No matter how much he meditated, no matter how many bruises he inflicted during sparring it was never enough, he needed more. All of this cooked and boiled beneath the calm boy's exterior. The fact was that the little monster had a plan. Once he felt that he had learned all he could, he was going to kill them all. To him Violence was the path to enlightenment, it was all he needed. His hands longed to be stained red, his throat thirsted for the taste of blood, his ears longed for the screams of pain he would never utter.
Then the day came. Mannix had complete control over his Ki as well as the ability to combine his attacks with certain elements. With this he was going to destroy them all. The fires burned brightly that night under a red moon along the bloodstained stone path that lead to the monastery. The corpses of surprised and unprepared monks littered the gardens and dojos and in the middle of it all stood the silent death that was a little monk. He licked blood from his fist and if he could have he would have been laughing with glee at what he had just done. It was the greatest hit to his addiction yet and it didn't satisfy at the same time. He needed more, he not only needed to crush someone physically but mentally. The best part was who would ever expect so much from a little monk. He pulled a mask from the wall and placed it on his face, perfect for when he chose to kill.
After years of destruction and bloodshed Mannix has arrived in the dark lands looking for yet another delicious taste of violence. Through them he will achieve Zen. Through whatever means possible the mute will strive and become so much more than a little monk.
Personality: It is hard to tell most of the time what Mannix is like underneath his silent exterior. To most he comes across as who ever he wishes to be. He is very skilled at being a good boy when the time calls for it. On the inside he is a raging volcano of anger and a blood lust dominates his world. Currently he is searching for satisfaction for his addiction. He lives without material possessions and relies solely on his body and natural abilities for everything.
