I love everything to do with punctuation and spelling, I would love to be a proofreader for your newsletter! mrgreen You could PM me the newsletter when you are finished making it, and I would check it over for any possible errors- I think it's fun. whee Let me know if you like this idea! smile

Oh yeah...as for me...hmmmm.... Well, I love organization (although it seems as though I act like a chicken runnin' around with it's head cut off--whoooooey--now that's an old one!) Oh, yeah, anyway--I could get together a list of all the new and noteworthy things and list them with their links--just a bunch of "don't forget to" kind of stuff. Someone else with more skeels could do the actual writing for the newsletter, lol!

*does the happy dance*
I haven't worked on a newspaper since the Chocobo Weekly *sniffles* brings back memories.
*claps hands together* H'okay!
As far as games go...Final Fantasy Crisis Core is coming out this month I believe...and I've pre-ordered the game so I can hopefully get a review written up about the game play/battle system before the due date.
*thinku*
Also we could do a segment where we interview someone from the guild about future guild events....

I liked the newsletter but agree weekly might be better that way we will not forget birthdays etc.
A group I am in on Myspace does a "what is it" picture thing. I'm sure you have seen them - a picture taken of something up real close or just a portion of a picture zoomed in on and you have to figure out what the item is. We could do a contest like that with a small prize of some kind.
I would be happy to help with things but am no good at organizing them really.

I think we should get a few papers out first, then if we find out we have enough information (and time) we could move it to being more towards weekly. I think just jumping into weekly though before we test the waters might be a little extra stressful....but I'm game for what ever owo.
*victory pose* I shall do my best! ninja

True, true Lavi, I think monthly is a good idea, at least for now. I like the caption contest idea also, I am no good at those xd but I think it would be a lot of fun, and a good simple contest for the newsletter. I've been thinking that perhaps I could do an illustration or picture pertaining to the event of the month, or perhaps just a cartoon of some sort to submit for fun. smile

*snappy salute* Reporter retro reporting for duty, sir ma'am... redface
Ummm...okay--well, I really like organizing--and sleuthing through the guild for all things that need attention (contests, birthdays, event organization, etc.). Hmmm....Okay--I know--I could do a "Make a Note" section for bringing attention to stuff, and providing links to them. Kind of like a calender of events. Actually--yeah--a literal calender with links and events marked on it might be fun! Easy to read, and easy to access what is on it! whee Howz about that? Anybody interested in the idea?
How often is still a question....bi-weekly, yeah, maybe to start with? That's not so often that we will go nuts putting it together, and often enough to make a mention of everything we need to. (I think) wink

OK everyone i notice you are still trying to figure out how often to have it ... we have been Approved for a Monthly Newsletter for now ... so as it stands we will be doing an April, May, and June one ..if after those we discover we need it more often we can do it say BI weekly ... OR!! we can have a bi weekly reminder about contests and birthday's/ anniversary's but nothing else and have the monthly one with all the kewl articles in it ...but we will put that on the back burner until we get the first few issues out. I would like everyone to post what they specifically what to do (and only that) by lets say next Wednesday? that way we can start fleshing it out with sections.. after that we can decide what else would be fun/nice to put into it. for instance if you want to do a section with a in newsletter contest ...state that... if you want to do an article on pie (LOL) state that but do not include anything else in the post .. example : sweet_lady_rose: I want to write an article about Guild Members . and this would be a monthly article (end of post) Quote: Lavian i really like the idea of Interviewing someone different every month we (the reporters and metal) could vote on who to make the MEMBER OF THE MONTH and you could do a interview with that person? how does that sound?? for above i would need Nominees ..no no wait i think the first one should be about METAL heart as our leader he needs to be in the first issue dont you think? do you agree with that everyone?? and espically Lavian LOL Quote: Razzy wants to do the Birthday/Gaianniversary announcements Retro wants to do the "Special Announcements, with links Looks like Retro and Razzy need to talk to each other LOL Quote: Welcome Angelbaskets smile Orgainzing is not the problem ...seems like since i started this monster HEHEH jk its my job to organize it well partially i push people around, they make their own decisions, i help, we decide, and wheeee it gets done LOL Quote: Veranuem has expressed a desire to do some graphics and be our Prof reader ..as for me i know i always miss a punctuation or the spelling of a word soo this would be greatly helpful..in this you would send her your completed article (if needed) for her to proof it then she would send back the corrected article and you would send it on to me and i would put it in the finished Newsletter smile Graphics are still in the talking stage but if you would like her to do a header for your section im sure she would be glad to help you smile ..now she did not say if she was charging for this that would be up to her and you. Please when you do send it to me you need to have it completely formatted and include any pictures you want already in it smile thanks I will be doing whatever is left LOL as long as i can do it and i will also be responsible for creating the newsletter itself with your contributions included in it .... and sending it out to everyone smile Metal would like to be kept in the loop so if you have any questions or concerns regarding me or this newsletter please contact him smile ok i think that brings us up to date so far if you have any questions please feel free to PM me or just post it here for everyone to see Rosie wink

Great organizing! I agree, the first interview should be with Metal, he's done so much. Perhaps the second one could be Snorpy, the first Gifter? Just throwing out ideas! smile I'll do a header for the Newsletter if everyone is ok with the idea! mrgreen One question, will this be called the GGoA Newsletter, or will it have a different or special name?

I love it! Of course I'll interview people for the newsletter. Just give the word for me to start, and who my official target is.
I agree that Metal should be the first interview....but how will we choose who gets interviewed after him?
