'But why dont they help us?' Shea asked her father, sitting on his lap.
'They are human just like you and me, some have fallen from the heavens, they do not have the power to save the world, to help everyone, but they are sent to protect. Some day, you will find your guardian angel, and you will sprout your wings.'
One afternoon, a loud crash came from the house, a little country home. Shea was outside playing, and was curious to see what was happening. When Shea opened the back door and walked into the living room, blood was splattered everywhere on everything. Shea's eyes widened in fear.
'Daddy?' Shea asked, frozen in place. The zombie turned toward the girl, his face covered in blood and guts from a lady in the corner, now a corpse.
'D-Daddy...?' Then the zombie lunged forward and Shea screamed!

Shea awoke suddenly from the nightmare, breathing really hard, and then rested her head back down on Jack's shoulder. Her eyes were dry, and she couldnt cry anymore. Shea clenched Jack's shirt tighter. Her stomache began to growl, she hasnt eaten in a couple days nor had anything to drink as her throat felt raspy.

Raikyu walked to the other end of the park, looking around he saw a dozen of the man eating people. He slowly stepped back from them, hesitating he took another step. The zombies started to get closer to him, Raikyu turned around and tried to run away, he tripped and fell to the ground after the second step. A zombie managed to grab his shirt and partly ripped it from his body. He managed to get out of the zombies grasp, he ran as fast as he can. Then suddenly fell to the ground gasping for air. Looking around he spots a tree low enough for him to reach. He pushed himself to get up and run to the tree, climbing up the bark he gets near the middle of the tree. He screams for someone to help him as zombies begin to swarm the tree.l

After Jack had found Shea, ALexa began to follow, when she heard shouts for help. they sounded... like a young frightened child... "I'll be back in a minute!" she yelled, taking off at a run towards the sound. spotting the commotion, she sliced through the zombies whith her blades. her left blade, however, got stuck, as the Zombie impaled on it ran off, screaming demonically. "no! Dammit!!!!" she cursed, slicing through the others with one sweep. she sighed. "damn... It's gone..." she looked up in the tree at the little boy. "hey, are you ok?"

Jack had ran towards the tree where that samurai girl went. Since he was carrying Shea, he couldn't draw his weapon. Thankfully, she had taken carae of them.
"Man..." Jack muttered, "Remind me never to piss you off..."
He then called up to the little boy in the tree, "It's okay, we arn't going to hurt you, come on down."

She gave a slight, wry smile, and said shortly. "Better not piss me off now. I just lost one of my katanas." she sighed, really annoyed. she, attempting to brighten her face a little, she smiled at the boy.

Shea coward against Jack as she saw the zombies but then lifted her head up to spot a boy up in the trees, her head felt so dizzy. She looked back down at the bloody corpses on the ground, closing her eyes, but the image wouldnt leave. Shea then glanced at the samarai woman, wondering who she was. Shea wondered a lot of things, but she was too tired to speak right now, as she rested her head back down onto Jack's shoulder.

Turning back towards Jack, she noticed the little girl, Shea on his back. she smiled a little at her, too. "Hi, Shea, is it? I'm ALexa. Don't worry, I'm a friend"

"Despite her psychotic samurai killing methods..." Jack muttered under his breath, then quickly added, "Yes, she's a friend. Don't worry,"

"Alexa..." She whispered her name as well, glancing at the samarai girl and then cuddled her face into Jack's shoulder again. It was good to hear a woman's voice again, for what seemed like forever. "Friend..." She nodded and then listened to Jack mutter and giggled, feeling more relaxed and less scared.

"what did you say?" She raised an eyebrow at Jack, and gave a friendly wink to Shea. "just kidding, it doesn't matter. It's nice to have vague company."

"Im hungry...is the shelter close?" Shea whispered in Jack's ear after glancing over at Alexa who had winked at her. She was so tired, thirsty, hungry, covered in blood, all the things that a child shouldnt be. Her small fingers curved into fists.

"Don't worry, Shea," Jack said, "We'll get you some food. Just be patient. We need to get this person down from the tree." He called up to the boy, "It's alright, come on down!"

The threshold wasn't much to cross.She just needed food and some water.Central park wasn't far and there were streams there which had fresh water.And maybe some smart squirrels were there, since the infected normally stayed clear of the park.Simply shoot a few squirrels and drink some water.Simple, right?

Shea nodded and looked up as well again at the boy in the tree. It took half of her remaining strength to look up, her dry eyes straining to see him, while her stomache growled noisly.
"Its alright, my angel is here to save you too..." Shea called back to the boy in her raspy voice and then rested her head back on his shoulder. She will always believe in angels, no matter what, they are all around us, protecting us, or so Shea just hopes.

Raikyu smiled with joy to see others, he slowly made his way down the tree, his foot touching a weak branch. " Thank you for saving me lady!" He said with joy. Standing on the weak branch with all his weight it snapped making Raikyu falling through the branch's his shirt being ripped same with the rest of his clothing. Falling to the ground with tears in his eyes, he tries to get up but then loosing his balance he looks at his wrists seeing it broken. Beginning to cry he laid on the ground still, tears running down his face like a river.
