(ahhhhh i was gonna say something then i had the biggest brain fart, but could someone help me, was the really bad crime scene with the blood soaked carpet that when you walked on it squished underfoot from the book harlequin? or was in dance macabre? or even earlier? i was thinking that the new crime scene has to be worse than that squishy footed bloody crime scene, but i cant remember which book, to make sure i get the info on it right)

(shes had a few of the squishy carpet scenes so yeah i see where it would get confusing but i definetly can think of something worse than that) Dolph stepped aside and anita had to stop and look at the scene twice just to make sense of it. there was an empty grave, presumably where her mistery zombie was from, and around it was what resembled the remains of a body. the tomb stone itself was so smeared with blood that you couldnt read it, and there were parts hanging off of it that she assumed were intestines. as she got closer that theory was confirmed when the smell hit her.the upper half of the body was still intact to some small degree. there was a torso with what looked like breasts, there were 2 arms, , and hands still attatched to the arms and in the hands were the other part of the intestines... so they had tried to hold onto their insides as they were torn apart. what a way to go. the head was missing and so was everything below the waist. "wheres the head" she asked dolph.
"we dont know yet, we found a leg down in the grave, but we left it there so you could see it in its original setting" dolph replied rubbing his forehead. so it had been the scene.
"so ready to dive in anita" zerbowski's voice came from behind her. he was holding a pair of coveralls and some gloves. "thought you might need these coming straight from work and all" i didnt tell him i had stopped at the house i didnt want them to know about the zombie yet.
"thanks zerbowski, and might as well get it over with." i suited up and hoped down into the hole. did i ever mention i was claustrofobic... the grave didnt look so bad from the outside, but once youre in it, you have this horrible sense of doom. like someone is going to come up behind you and burry you forever. i calmed my crazy imagination and began to look around. i immediately saw the leg. it looked like it had been gnawed off up to the knee. and the teeth marks looks horribly farmilliar. i called up to dolph, "this looks like some of the stuff i saw in new mexico. if this is what i think it is, we're in big trouble."
"what do you think it is?" dolph asked.
"well ill need to see that scale first if you dont mind." i scrambled up out of the grave and as soon as i was on the surface a tention that i hadnt even known was there eased inside me.

Anita went over to what was left of the corpse. The smell hit her again but didn't make her throw up. "Gonna loose your lunch Anita?" Zebrowski joked.
"Never" she replied. "I'm leaving the sissy stuff to you..."
"Oooohhh," Zebrowski put his hand over his heart in mock alarm. "Word hurt Anita. Words hurt!" He joked, making them both laugh. Anita was glad to get her mind off the smell and what was left of the body, but she had to face it. Getting her tape measure, she found that the bite marks did match ones she had found in Albequreqe (i'm sorry, I have no idea how you spell that). s**t.

"So, what do you think Anita?" Dolph asked.

Anita worried all the way home. She knew the guys could take care of themselves, but she couldn't shake what had happened in New Mexico. They hadn't been there...stop it she told herself, it's not like I left Alexander with humans. When she got home the house looked fine from outside. She parked with enough space to make a fast get away and took her spare gun out the glove compartment to be sure (I dunno if anyone mentioned her being armed before. If we did, then she pulled out one of her guns, sorry). She walked up to the door slowly and eased to open gently....

"Crap," Anita said. This Alex guy seemed to be confirming the worst - it was him that had killed the person. To make it worse, Anita wasn't sure she could deal with the crying. She followed Nathaniel into the kitchen, keeping her gun by her side to be safe. Alex and Micah were sitting by the window. Alex's head was in his hands as his body shook up and down. Micah's hand was lightly on his shoulder as if he wasn't sure if it would do more harm than good. Suddenly Alex looked up. "Ms Blake," he said as he saw her come into the room, "I think I must have done it...I keep...seeing things..." he paused and shuddered, apparently thinking about the scene Anita had just seen, "...but I swear I didn't do it!"

"You just said you think you did, Alexander. And then said you didn't. Which one is it?" Anita asked slowly.

"I think someone made me do it!" He cried...
