Ivy-kun Teh_Sheba This victory is kind of bittersweet for me...I didn't see the actual announcement, since I ran off to do dishes thinking I had enough time between one award and Avatar's...
But I hear that it was just kind of mentioned...Like, "Oh, BTW, favorite animated show is Avatar!" I mean, it didn't have someone go up and accept the award or anything...I was looking forward to seeing if Bryke would come up and provide us with some words of encouragment...It wasn't like the other awards...
And then...To top that all off...
The Air dates for the new episodes have been moved...Again. It's just so messed up now. I'll probably be spazzing about it elsewhere, but the deviantArt avatards are in an uproar. if you go find GreenifyMe's page and read her journal...You'll know why.
But I'm still glad it won, I just wished that it would kind of signal something like maybe that the Avatar fans exist after all! Give it more recognition, treat it with the same respect they treat Miley Freakin' Cyrus and better than spongebob. Avatar is the best thing that Nick has or probably ever will have, yet they treat it as less than such...
Augh...I'm just... really mad at Nickelodeon right now.
They CHANGED THE DATES??? scream *runs off to dA* *reads journal* No way!!! Those..... argh!!!! That's not fair!!! *checks nick schedule* ... ... ... O.O It says that there is an episode on the 4th.... What the hell is goin' on....?
And I agree, they should treat Avatar with the same respect as Miley Cyrus ! Actually, scratch that, they should treat it with more respect than that girl! (As you can probably tell, I don't like her very much) Avatar has brought in so many ratings for Nick and they don't even come to appreciate it! Announcing that it won for Favorite Cartoon across the bottom of the page? It's.... it's... insulting! gonk
scream Grrr, I'm upset that they've changed the dates, I even posted a comment on GreenifyMe's journal.
mad I'm an older fan remembers when Rugrats was brand-spanking-new and after many years of watching Nick, this is the lowest point they've gone. I agree that ATLA has been the best show they've had in ages, and yet they seem to say "OMG! ITS LEIK OUR BESTEST SHOW 4EVA!" while at the same time trying to kick it under the rug like an unsightly mess stare
I wasn't present o see the KCAs, but from what I heard, the only thing that was remotely related to ATLA was a little kid with Chris Brown that had his hair shaven to look like Aang's arrow tattoo and had Aang on the back of his jacket. sweatdrop
