The crew and I had our first photography job at a school near here. I was with a seasoned photographer and we had already switched - she was taking the pictures now. Well I'm not a good poser and get really nervous.
This kid would NOT do what I asked. A lot of them were being asses and I was already frustrated. We have a really short window to get the picture posed and shot (30 seconds) so it's extremely important that they kid does what you instruct them.
I'd tell him, now can you move right here? Alright, now see my foot? Line your foot with mine. Then he'd put his foot on top of mine. 'like that?' Mmm, no, I mean here, your foots in between my hands, now follow my hands. There. Now put your hand on your knee like this. He does that after being shown visually from my example, then we go for the second position.
Okay, take your elbow and rest it on your knee and bring your hand back to your chest. He put his wrist on his knee and I corrected him. No, that's not quite your elbow, but close. Here, this is your elbow. Put this here. Then he'd take the wrong hand and put it up there. 'Like this?'
All his friends were laughing good through this. Everything I did he'd spin around and I had already lost my voice at this point. Then I got like No. this.
And the kid got kinda freaked out and finally cooperated.
I felt bad and paranoid. If he went to his teacher or principal and said I was mean to him, just by being a little too stern, we'd lose the school.

Today was the 8th grade. I'm really high strung thinking about pre school. If the ones with complete mind function were this stubborn, oh my.
