I can't quit fanfiction- 'tis too hard. Like giving up swearing. Another thing I just can't do. Maybe if my life were all sunshine and lollipops...but it isn't...so I swear and I write fanfiction to help handle stress.
Even when I can't read it- like when I'm visiting my grandmother or any other relatives', I'm writing it. Peops in my family have learned not to peek at what I write for their own mental safety. No one knows I write yaoi, but they think I write alot of gross, bloody horror. My family are a bunch of neb noses, and once I left a notebook out with one of my original short stories in it. Said story involved a werewolf going on a vicious ramapge. Very bloody. Squicked eveyrone one, and now peops leave me in peace. mrgreen

Oh man, fanfiction withdrawls, I remember I went through those when I went through a few months of no internet. I swore I was going to DIE. Meh- my own writings kept me sane enough, though immediately, I went back and read and downloaded all the mad gay porn Neji/Some Guy fics I could find. <33
Lol, Tenten. XD At least you got them off you. One time I was drawing....well, trying to, and it was Neji...and my aunt kept looking over my shoulder because she's sort of an artist so I was all 'omfg nevermind.' >.O 'Cause...drawing in front of, more or less, a professional and KNOWING she was picking apart how sucky I was/am, was just unnerving.
Another reason I don't post fanfics. I'm just too intimidated. That and I suck at finishing anything unless I've finished it already. Which I haven't. Even then, I'll take it down, redo it, and then reupload it. I do that A LOT with my amvs. There's always flaws that bug me. ><

EEE! I kinda know what ya mean- I'm horrible at finishing stuff. But the plot bunnies won't leave me alone until I write it ...eh, at least start it...to get it out of my system. Which is why I've got at least 60 stories I've started...and have yet to finish. >.<
I'm not the best artist, either. I'm a better writer than I am an artist (not that that's saying much, though! lol). Most of the time, my stuff comes out looking like crap. Occasionally, though, I'll have a pic that turns out super nice and I go "WTF? HOW did I do that?" I stand there, staring at it and loving it whilst scratching my head in amazed confusion.

I usually don't have the motivation to even start anything, much less stick with it.
I get that way with my art too. If I happen to churn out something really good, I flail in amazed confusion.

This isn't a ShikaNeji ANIME moment, just a manga observation...
So, I was flipping through a Naruto artbook that I didn't know I had (oops?), and I noticed that in the three group pictures that contain both Shikamaru and Neji, one has just Iruka between them, and in the other two they're right next to each other.
Just coincidence, I'm sure, but it still made me oddly happy.

This isn't really a canon moment, it's just something that made me extra happy while playing Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 (The new fighting game).
You know how each character has speacial moves that activate when yuo press triangle? Well, for one of Shikamaru's moves, he says "Suck on this" before the move activates. And, my brother happened to be playing as Neji at the time. So, I did a combination of fan-squeeing/nosebleeding/proclaiming how naughty that was to my brother quite loudly/etc.
It was great. <3
If only that game wasn't rated "T". Maybe Neji would've taken Shika's suggestion. crying

Heh, I'm surprised he puts up with all my fangirling. I think he just ignores it 75% of the time unless he finds what I say funny. -Meh-
Er....It's some type of shadow move. (Really specific, right?)
I never press the combination buttons fast enough, so the move always gets interrupted. And, one time I was able to complete it, I didn't pay attention to what it was called since Shika did one or two of those cute little smirks and I was too busy melting into a puddle of Sara-flavored goo to hear.

I know that "Suck on this!" is a bit of a weird battle cry, but I really think that it fits his personality since Shika's a bit vulgar at times. But whatever, it's still really funny. (Plus, the fact that the American version would let something slightly vulgar like that to be said also kinda shocked me. I know that that phrase isn't something I'd consider vulgar, but...need I mention the whole "Sake=Elixir" incident?)

Um... possibly, because I have no idea what the Sake=Elixir incident is. biggrin Oh, I don't mind Shika saying anything vulgar. XD Just... I can see "suck on this" used as a battle cry in certain contexts, but I haven't heard it used so generally. XD I could easily just not know it, though, and have it be perfectly acceptable. Basically, in the American version of the anime, sake is known as elixir. And Drunken Fist is known as Loopy Fist. 'Tis very sad.
(Drunken Fist is the fighting style that Lee adopts when he gets even a drop of alcohol in his system. It's hilarious.)

OH! I wondered what the American version did with Drunken Fist! I remember thinking, "There's no way they'll show a minor imbibing alcohol, even accidentally..."
