Evanlyn nodded slightly. "The gods-curst men're like dogs, I swear. They just won't give up."

Brin nodded her head in agreement to Mark as she got up from her seat, getting ready to take leave. “By all means,” she answered, but was immediately interrupted by another who’d obviously been listening on their conversation. Seeing Mark reach for his own weapon made her own hand grab the hilt of one of the daggers hidden under her cloak, getting ready if this would end bad.
But it was all talk, and as Mark’s voice lost its edge, she let her hand fall from the hilt. And with another nod of her head, she followed after Mark…

(( Looks like I missed all the fun tonight -_- Anyhow, a little about Lieria. All along the North and West side of the city there are mountains (on the other side of the mountains, there’s ocean). But there are tunnels that runs all the way through the mountains, but only one path deep within the maze leads to where the Underground dwells. The gates of the city are facing East, where there’s all trees and forests that extends to the South. So they’re surrounded by forests and mountains... I’m making a map to clear all confusions. If any of you have any questions about the RP, don’t hesitate to PM me... or whatever. ))
King Gargoth started pacing back and forth as he pondered about his plan. He concluded that there was only one way out of this a long time ago if it came to this, and he was sure that he wasn’t going to leave any of his people behind. He turned to Jerik and Geroff, and spoke slowly, but confidently.
“Get every guard, scout, whoever you can find and go to the city, wake every family, every living being out there, and tell them to take all their loved ones to the caves of the Kraishier Mountains. Be sure to have some of our men there, since I am sure no one knows of the caves yet…” He paused a moment, and as he saw the two start to argue, he made a quick hand gesture, and they fell silent, and immediately continued. “Once we finish that, the rest of us will stay behind to fight them off, only so that they don’t follow our people into the mountains…” Seeing the way the two scouts starred at him, he added, “There’s no other way out of this. I told all of you that this day was coming. I’ve thought about this more than you can understand, so I need you two to do what I’ve asked of you.” Once the king finished, he turned on his heel, and disappeared into his bed chambers.
Both Jerik and Geroff stood there unmoving, eyes wide with bewilderment. The King actually meant taking aaalll of the people to stay at the Underground? Jerik wondered, and when he looked over at Geroff, he could tell he was thinking the exact same thing. The idea sounded crazy, since for one, there was definitely not enough room for everyone… But it wasn’t like they wouldn’t be able to survive it for just a couple of days…
“Now.” King Gargoth snapped as he reappeared into the room with Jerik and Geroff, now adorned in his own armor.
“We’ll see to it that it is done, Your Majesty.” They both chided. And without another word spoken, they both left his room with haste.

Mark nodded to everybody, impatient to be off, and so he walked out of the tavern and started towards the appointed place.

David stood casually in the night, his dark clothing camoflauging him against the shadows. He leaned against a building wall, watching the comings and goings of the night life, his eyes glowing like a cat's. Movement caught his attention, and he turned to see a man, followed by three others move quickly outside of a tavern. After a moment of deliberation, he followed after them, his feet making virtually no sound. His right hand held his walking stick at his side, while his left checked his pockets to make sure his battle claws were still there. He didn't know who they were, or what they were after, but people obviously armed, walking briskly in the night, wasn't exactly the most secretive thing he had seen.

Brin followed a step behind Mark, but occasionally looked behind her to see the others following behind. But there was a feeling that started to grow on her... as if there was a pair of unseeing eyes watching them from afar. She pulled up her own hood over her head with steady hands, trying to focus on anything that the darkness maybe hiding, but she couldn’t see anything. But she noted that she was like this all the time when it came to the first night in a new town. And it was no help that the sky was darker than the abyss itself. She tried banishing the thought, but tried unsuccessfully.

David continued to follow the group, making sure he was always able to see the group moving steadily forward. The sky was pure darkness, no moon, and the stars covered up by what must have been a cloud. There was enough light from the buildings. The few strips of light coming from a shuttered window, and the rare porch light was enough light to let him see the world around him, even if it was in a more colorless variety. He stopped cold when his walking stick bumped into a wall, making a slight tappin noise. Every nerve in his body was tense, his muscles tensing for a quick flight if his plan went wrong. It was the littlest of sounds, but in a night that had the silence of a calm before the storm, that tap could spell his doom.

Evanlyn had been walking next to Brin. Despite having joined up with this group, she was still on the lookout for those men that had been following her. She doubted that they would give up just because she was with a few fighters. With that in mind, she remained alert and heard the slight tap. She stopped walking, listening for any other noise.

Adrelus follows behind the group, noting a figure that seems to be following them. But as the figure approaches, he lets out a small sigh, noticing that it's only a villager.

(( I’m assuming that when you say villager, it’s just another random person that came out from an alley or something…? ‘Cause that’s how I’m playing it >_o ))
Brin stopped a little after noticing Evanlyn had stopped, and looked back. She heard the slight tap, and looked in the direction they had come from, where she was pretty sure was the general direction from where the noise came from as well. It could have even been a stray animal of the sorts, but there were no other sounds that followed, but only stinging silence. Was it the actions of someone who didn’t want to be heard? Or just a sleeping bum who accidently knocked something as they moved into a more comfortable position?
At that moment, there was movement hidden within the darkness, and soon enough, another villager materialized out of it. She looked in his direction with a touch of annoyance that was hidden in the depths of her hood, but nodded her head as a quick ‘Hello, goodbye,’ greeting as he passed, and turned to face Mark once again.

Mark grins in response, looks around, and then walks through a wall in the alley, after muttering a few words.

David continued to follow them, the slight noise he made had startled them, but it was quickly dismissed. Or at least, he thought they dismissed it, as they kept on moving. He followed behind them still, the walking stick tucked safely against his body to prevent a future mistake. His left leg was tiring out, all of his weight shifting from one foot to another to help the next step have no noise to it beginning to take its toll. He stopped when he saw the man who seemed to be the leader of the little group walk through a wall, obviously some illusion or strong magic at work. David knew what his plan would be. He would wait until the last went through, then follow directly after them. His walking stick was placed in a small sheath on his back, and he quietly strapped on his battle claws in case of close combat fighting.

Brin was a little skeptical about walking through some strange doorway that appeared to be just plain wall. She barely knew the guy that she was following or any of those who were following for the same reasons, and she was walking into God knows what. She definitely didn’t trust any of them yet, but it was ironic how she felt her legs carry her on, as if they had made up her mind for her. She wanted to keep going, but at the same time, there was something that still didn’t feel quite right…
She made up her mind in a matter of seconds as the doorway grew closer, but she slightly hesitated before she stepped through the wall, only to find herself standing in a room that was at least warmer than it was outside, but poorly lit.

Just as they were ordered, Jerik and Geroff found it best that they split up and spread the news. The message was pretty clear: “Arise the sleeping, tell them to run to the mountains and look for the men who will guide them. At the break of dawn, we will be at war!” It took no more than a few minutes before the message was buzzing through the whole castle, and guardsmen, scouts and all of the such started spreading out into the city, banging on doors of homes and inns, spreading the same message. And most of everyone listened, although a good portion of them were groggy with sleepiness still, but they were awake nonetheless. A lot of the men stayed behind, kissing their wives and loved ones good-bye with the idea that they most likely won’t make it to see another sunset in mind, and they took their own weapons into their hands, meaning to help out with the soldiers who were staying to fight and die for what they believed in.
No torches were lit, only so that they appeared like they were still a sleeping city as the Verexin Tribe waited for them on the other side of the city walls. People remained silent, and did their best to walk with silent feet as they made their way to the back of the city—where they would be led into something much deeper than a lot of them even knew of…
