im in the front line at the begining of the show......makes me feel special because im only a soph.
but at the first performance i tossed my flag and it spun funny and i hit myself.....then the flag wrapped itself around my arm....
it sucked because you could see me on the video. everyone was like "oh look....did she get stuck....? looks like it..."

I have yet to maul myself with the pop toss on the 45...

i remeber in my freshman year i was on rifle line (i dont know why) but at a practice i tried to toss a triple and it came down on my head. and it really really hurt. i was so dizzy for such a long time after ward. but now i can do it.

The flags are in front for the first 3 songs... Then I'm pretty sure we start moving towards the back for the 4th one.. And we're completely in back for the 5th..

wolfiedilemma stupidgeniusoo7 The flags are in front for the first 3 songs... Then I'm pretty sure we start moving towards the back for the 4th one.. And we're completely in back for the 5th.. my lord how many songs are there in your show? Just 5. The first one is 11 sets.. The 2nd is 13, I think? And then the last 3 songs are each 8 sets.. It's actually not that bad.

Alright... last night...
- 1 rifle.
- A double flat toss (or helicopter toss or whatever you might call it. Parallel toss over your head, spins twice).
THWACK.
1 1/2 revolutions and then it jammed across the left side of my face. I bruised under my eye and I had this enormous welt on my upper forehead. It was raised nearly 3/4 of an inch. But this morning it had gone down mostly. But it hurts like heck.

awww all u guys have all these injuries... >.< i feel kinda stupid that this is my worst:
there are 4 ppl in front of the rest of the colorguard at the end of the show, and we were practicin the final part, but we werent exactly endin on the right counts, so i was tryin to do the moves on different counts...and when i did a simple toss there was a SMACK and the flag hit me sooooo hard on the forehead, and when i rasied my hand to feel it there was a bump "the size of a ping pong ball" as in the words of another girl, so i had to leave and went on a perilous journey to find ice, which took me bout 20 mins
this happened yesterday...the bump got smaller but it still hurts like a mo TT-TT

I twacked myself in the forehead last week. stressed And then tonight during the football game, I tossed my parallel, and kinda missed catching it.. It hit me in the side of the head so hard that it brought me to tears and nearly knocked my glasses off.. -_- Knew I should've stuck the contacts in..

I injured a flag, does that count?
We start with red swing flags, and we turn around and immediately jet across the field. Well...I didn't move my flag out of the way, and I stepped on it. *riiiip* I tore it more than halfway through. So then I just taped the end of the broken part back where it was supposed to be and kept going. I didn't want to tell the instructor becasue she'd just given a speech on how we couldn't tear our flags. D=

Okay, I win the trophy for the coolest sized bruise ever! On the underside of my right forearm I had a perfectly 5 centimetre square bruise from (I think) the butt of a rifle. Man, it was so awesome. Every day it was a different colour, too! Green, blue, purple, yellow, pink, brown.... it started being called the Mood Bruise. Then I got a sabre bruise down the perfect center. It looked like a weird stingray.

I almost killed one of the other girls today! **grins sheepishly** We were twirling our flags, and I apparantly had too loose a grip on it, because I swung it around and it flew out of my hands and came about an inch from hitting her in the face.. I was worried I had hit her, but the expression on her face just caused me to burst out laughing, as sadistic as that may sound.. I think I caused her more emotional damage than anything.. sweatdrop whoops..

I've hit myself in the head and butt too many times to count this year. I've also given myself a black-eye with a flag. Funny thing was, it happened right before we were suppoed to be marching on the field...
My freshman year, I almost strangled a girl with my streamer. It got wrapped around her neck and I thought someone was standing on it. Oops...
