I'm not sure I get it? Why is the general going backwards? I suppose I don't understand...

Sorry. It's going from top-left the other way. It's saying a recruit (trainee unit) can go to a Knight or Soldier, and a Knight can go to a General or a Commander, and a Soldier can go to a Commander or a Halberdier.

That sounds pretty good, Av. Is a Commander a made-up unit or one that already exists, though? I haven't played 10 or some of the older Fire Emblems, so I was just curious about that.
Actually, Eternal Dume, that's a good idea. I think most games would be better with more RPG style influences. Imagine a Fire Emblem RPG except for all battles (granted, there would be no wild fights, just big fights) would be classic Fire Emblem fights! Now, wouldn't that be something else?^^

I had a really interesting MMORPG style fire emblem game.
You only get one character. You pick your starting class and go. You could form parties with other people and go out into the world. There would be random battles that were determined by your party size and level. You could even recruit generic soldiers into your party.
Here's the best thing about this idea. There would be an everlasting war. You could choose your side and fight against other people. the only main thing I would change is that your characters don't die. There would be some penalty for dying. Perhaps all money and equipment(excluding anything like a sacred weapon) would be stolen and you would lose any experience you had earned.

That sounds alot like FETO only you don't lose experience for dying. I think Experience loss isn't something to take away, items and maybe some gold would be more realistic. Personally I'd like more classes, monsters, and maybe even optional chapters like quests that you can do at any given time. Oh, and the battle graphics have alot more potential now.

Countess Valentine Less'e here.... Classes I want. I'll use a chart so that you get where I'm coming from: Thunder Mage or Myrmidon---->Thunder Blade---->Blade Sage Fire Mage or Myrmidon---->Fire Blade---->Blade Sage Wind Mage or Myrmidon---->Wind Blade---->Blade Sage Wind/Fire/Thunder Blade: Men and women who are skilled both in fields of swordplay and wind/fire/thunder magic. (but not all) Blade Sage: Men and women who have mastered the arts of the blade and have unlocked the secrets of all elemental magic. They'd be very weak defensively, and their resistance would be slightly lower than mages/sages, making them relatively fragile in a battlefield. Their speed and skill would be amazing, but their HP not so good. Strength and magic power would be balanced, with whichever one used first being better (magic power for units promoting from mages, strength for units promoting from myrmidons) Dang, I thought I was original when I made up sage knight class... ya beat me to publishing it... *has a sprite and a 1st job in the making*

Some of these ideas I think are cool, especially the ones with the magics. smile
