Alex nodded and also waited for his friend to finish, as it was polite to show respect towards others.

"Alright, I'll do that. As for the demonstration, that's fine. A good plan, in my opinion. I'll leave you to your work then, although I was originally planning on helping out...but since you know more than I do, I'll leave you to it. I've got guard duty anyways, so don't worry about a thing," he said as he stood up, bowed respectfully to Veridel, and walked out.

He stood watch at the stairs leading up to the rooms, hands at the ready with his swords. Being how he was, sleep wasn't exactly something he needed.

Alex was wide awake when Veridel came out of his room. Alex waved a little and let his friend continue on his way, following down the stairs when they were to gather together.

So they had one hour...not a lot of time, but time none the less. He walked over and kicked something gently, then walked after Veridel. "Hey, Veri! What exactly do you need me to research in the library?" he asked, unsure of what he should look for exactly.

The thing that Alex had kicked was none other than Ruby. They had brought Wrath inside, Barry and Ruby, and the three hunkered down near the stairs for the night: Barry to keep watch, Wrath to be out of the cold, and Ruby hugging his new friend to help warm the poor kid up before they had both fallen asleep.

The dragon stirred and yawned, nuzzling Wrath with his snout. {Wakey wakey sleepy head...} he said to Wrath, the words appearing in any dream he had. Well, that's what he'd been told when he woke up dreaming people before...

He then tapped Barry on the boot and looked at him before yawning again. {Wake up big man with big sword who's name I don't have. We have an hour to goof off before we set out again.}

Ruby looked at Wrath and smiled. {We've an hour to goof off and cause trouble before we gotta go and get in trouble from some "Veridel" guy Alex knows...} he said and sat up, wagging his tail happily and staring at the boy, as if meaning no harm.

He glanced at Barry, who hadn't really seemed to move. {Big armor guy seems to be lazier than me. By the way, I never introduced myself since you were too wrapped up in your thoughts...Name's Ruby, friend of Alex's! You're name is 'Wrath', right?} Ruby introduced himself, asking to make sure he didn't had understood what 'Mr. Armored Giant Man' as Ruby called Barry said the night before was accurate.

Chances were, Ruby was about to glomp Wrath happily, whether he was right or wrong about the boy's name. He had declared the boy his friend, and he wasn't about to change it.

((Well it would seem that, due to the unfortunate loss of Ashari and as such the lack of needed characters, we'll have to restart with a new envy and no Ashari or something. When we do this is all up to you guys, as it'll be the same setup as this, but with most likely fewer party members.))

((Yes. Ashari was pretty much everyone. ><; ))

((Yes well the main reason I want to finish this is because I've been thinking about writing a book that included Veridel's entire story. Only issue is, we've got one last storyarch here that needs to be wrapped up. I'll need Kii's continued participation, and we need a new Envy. Then just more teammates. Once this is finished, I can write these things up to the point we're at now, and then create a more exciting ending for it all. It'd most likely be a multi volume series though. But this is the first step to it all.))

((Yes, she did, but Reiya doesn't want to because she doesn't feel she could fill Ashari's shoes.))

((Reiya IS Hughes. So yeah, still stuck with the same issue there. :p

But I do love the idea. I'd be honored to have the story turned into a videogame. In fact, I've been working on rewriting it onto paper and trying to change some names and stuff so I can turn it into a book.))

((Exactly, it only makes sense. Can't wait! As for regular party members, it would be simple to have some of my older friends join it. You know, like Draike, Yumi, or Khana. But we'd still need an Envy.))
