Just going by convenience, in an RP it is near impossible to implement seasons, I mean days can last for ever if nobody remembers to mention dusk. If we do have seasons as we do on earth it would likely only come up in memories.
Thats true. Heaven for bid if we dared to do a flash back scene.
That's just one of those possibilities we could have if we had a clear understanding of the timing of this world. Perhaps the key is more historical events. That way we could choose to take part in certain ages. With a little creative story telling our characters can play crucial roles in what is to come. I know that's me again turning a simple Rp into some grand tapestry of complication.

If we don't have the seasons of earth there'd still probably be things like the rainy season and the dry season, things caused by the moon going around the planet and long term jet-stream fluctuations (plus since the only way to not have earth seasons would be very straight up with almost zero axis angle, so the jet-stream would be nearly undisturbed and able to hold a very consistent long term pattern), then of course there's the orbit which would effect temperature over the year.
so we have two questions, how much axis angle does our planet here have, and what type of orbit do we have (highly circular resulting in very little annual climate change, or highly elliptical resulting in large annual climate change).
Oh to add on that, I forgot what is orbiting our planet?
Would it be interesting to think out side of the box a little about seasons?
Like beyond just wind, snow, rain, sun, hot and dry?
I think it would be neat to have a dark season and a light season.
Perhaps we could have a meteor season which the sky is constantly lit up by streaming lights.

the orbit would make a much smaller impact than the axis, our winters are caused by us tilting away, and the radiation being forced to go through more atmosphere, and having less surface area to hit. so if we have no axis angle but a lot of ellipticalness (yea, it's not a word) there might be a global temperature variance of ten, maybe twenty degrees.
Humm truly something to think about.
Well we could always work backward you know.
For example: ______________ territory is _______ degrees most days of the year. To accomplish this the sun has to be so far away and hitting the territory at such and such degrees.
Oh while I was thinking about planet rotation I could not help to wounder how long is our days and nights? What do you think about extending the twilight hour?
