I've read it. It's what turned me onto King. I love his writing.

Yeah. I've noticed that too. But I don't mind it. I tend to write like that too xd
What I don't like about his writing is that it's too detailed and he takes a long time just to describe things that aren't really important to the story. His books are too long, too.

I had his mental state figured out long before it was revealed. Eh, it was a so-so movie.

The movie was great, adn the plot line was well conceived. Johnny was, of course, fantastic (i loved the conversations he had with himself). However, I didn't find the end particularly enjoyable because it seemed so much like Fight Club. A completely different scenario, yes, but it just seemed so similiar that it made me uncomfortable. However, it is still a movie that I love to pop in and watch. Except for the dog dying.
The dog did not need to die.
Why is it always a dog?
Kill the cat for once!
kay, i'm done. :p

I really enjoyed the movie. I need to hunt down the DVD, now, but that shouldn't be too hard. It was fun to watch, especially because of those moments where you just had to laugh.

Kill the cat for once! kay, i'm done. :p That dog had to die because the movie is based off of a book and in the book Mort's pet died. Of course, it was a cat. But in an interview with David Koepp, the director, he said that he made it a dog because it's more suitable to the situation and a cat's boring.

I especially loved the part at the end where Mort is being John Shooter. I thought it was so cool, in fact, I bought myself a John Shooter (edit smile hat and I prance around menacingly while I talk in a Southern accent.
The scenes where Mort talks to himself and when Johnny and John (heh, Tuturro or Shooter what have you) are talking to each other are so cool, because at the end, you can imagine Johnny being there by himself.

My favourite quotes were:
Mort: I killed a mirror. Mort: And my shower door. ---------------------------------- John Shooter: Thought you didn't smoke. Mort: I took it up recently, for my health. ---------------------------------- Mort: What do you think it means you ignorant hick? I'm in the middle of a divorce. D-I-V-O-R-C-E divorce. ---------------------------------- Mort: I don't wanna call her. I want to go to sleep. I want to take a nap. Okay. No nap. I give her a call about the magazine. I go write some crap for a couple of hours and then I get to take a nap, right? Chico [beating his neck] Mort: Chi-i-i-i-co-o-o-o, don't be disco-o-o-oura-a-a-aged. All right, go ahead and be discouraged, you blind b*****d, see if I care. ----------------------------------- Mort: Gee Ted I'm sorry you had to miss that. I know how much you like my things. ----------------------------------- Mort: [to Chico about the maid] If you don't bite her, I'll kill her. ----------------------------------- Mort's Conscience: Why'd you put it on? Mort: I don't know. Mort's Conscience: Maybe he wanted you to.
Mort: Why would he want me to put his hat on?
Mort's Conscience: Maybe he wants you to... Mort: Maybe he wants me to what? Mort's Conscience: To get confused.
Mort: Oh, I'm already confused, Pilgrim. Plenty confused. So don't talk to me about confusion. -------------------------------- [Mort is trying to write but nothing comes to him, he looks at Chico] Mort: I'm open to suggestions. --------------------------------- Mort: [on the street after the house insurance meeting] You're a d**k! Ted: Do you feel better now?
Mort: Yes, I do.

I loved it when he pointed his hand like an imaginary gun at the housekeeper. My bf and I were watching it one time and we both just looked at each other and busted up laughing cuz it reminded us of Jack Sparrow's single shot. He was very channeling Jack Sparrow in this one. LOL

I love this movie... probably cuz I can relate to Mort somehow... not in the crazy way stare but yea. It was really good I mean I bet we all wanted him to kill them and get away with it...
Down part of the movie was that I had guessed the whole plot and storyline of the movie not even 30 minutes into it. sweatdrop

Most people said they guessed the plot. But I didn't. Perhaps I'm stupid, then? sweatdrop
