I personally hate Nu Metal. It's way to mainstream and takes a tenth the talent old metal did.
I'm a thrash fanatic, prolly listen to about 100-150 Thrash bands weekly.

Indeed. Of the bands listed that I am familiar with, he's listed many classic bands whom are legendary, and should be a part of any self-respecting metalhead's listening repertoire, IMO.
I should think, however, that Dio should be added to that list.
Also, for modern bands, I think everyone would be pleased with Twilightning, Lost Horizon, Hammerfall and Three Inches of Blood.
