"So I was right. Miquelet, when Samui first brought you back from the mountain, I sensed the auras of two different elements, light and darkness. I believe that for whatever reason, the darkness tried to take over your body, and your light elemental must have entered you to hold it off. I can barely sense them anymore, so I fear they've already merged with you. As you know, when you bind an elemental to yourself, you share a piece of your soul with it, in return for it's service. The reason the summon only appears for short visits is because since it shares your soul, to stay longer would let the pieces of soul try to recombine, and then the elemental would either be destroyed, or merge with you. Since the two elemntals within you have been there so long, I fear they have merged with your very soul. It is almost impossible to seperate them without killing you. They seems to have ended their battle, though, or you would otherwise still be asleep. They are each still their own spirit, though, and as such, can influence you, or perhaps even take over your body from time to time, when you are especially weak or not attentive. As such, I think you are now something different than what you were before."

Even as Erudru says this, he remembers the prophecy, that said Miquelet would bring forth a new life, one of great import. Now he realized this didn't mean mothering a child, but joining together light and darkness, with a half-elf, creating a new lifeform that was neither spirit or mortal, but something different. Once he realized this, he also knew that it would be pointless to have her marry Corrin. Not only was she now something so different from a human that she was almost a different species, but the possession represented a viable threat to the village, one, if left unchecked, could cause great destruction. Eruderu pondered, and realized what would have to be done.
"Miquelet. I will give this matter some more thought. Return here first thing tomorrow morning. I will have some form of an answer then."

alright...
*miquelet turned, and left the house, walking back to her own domicile... she knew that Samui-niisan would wake up when he was ready, and that Eruderu would tell him what happened... for now, miquelet just wanted to be by herself... she went into her room, and fell on her bed, as she pondered just what it meant to be possessed... she continued to mull this over until the middle of the night, when she finally fell asleep...*

Samui woke up, and noticed it was dark out. Once his eyes adjusted, he also noticed Miquelet had left. He got up, and went back to their house, confident that that would have been where Miquelet would be most likely to go.
Sure enough, he noticed her door was open partway, and she was within, asleep. He closed the door, and went into the kitchen. He sat at the table, and started thinking. Just what had happened? He knew that he could always ask Miquelet or Eruderu, but they were both asleep now. He held out his hand, and froze some of the moisture in the air into a small chunk of crystal-clear ice, which he chewed on while he thought. This was a habit he had formed whenever he had a great deal of thinking to do, such as now. Unbeknownst to him, Miquelet had emulated this habit slightly, occasionally eating ice herself. He stayed like this for much of the night, and as soon as the sun barely peeked over the village, he got up, and returned to Eruderu's house.
Eruderu had always gotten up at dawn, and today was no exception. He was moving around rapidly, rather surprisingly agile for a man his age. He seemed to be removing the decorations that everyone had put up for the wedding. As he set a vase down, he noticed Samui looking at him.
"Good morning Samui. Did Miquelet tell you?"
Samui gave a curt shake of his head to signify she didn't.
"I see. Well then, you should know....." Eruderu told Samuio everything that he had told Miquelet, and one extra piece of information. Samui didn't seem to give any indication of the relevance of this new piece, but it was rather important. He then helped take the decorations down, and, once finished, he returned home, to await Miquelet's wakening. Once she did wake up, he would tell her himself. Tell her just what Eruderu decided, and what that would mean for her, and for him. For although Eruderu hadn't mentioned it, Samui knew that it would affect him as well, for his destiny seemed to be connected with Miquelet's, at least for the moment.

*miquelet opened her eyes, and slowly sat up... it was late morning, and the sun was shining in her room, creating patterns of light on her bed... she got up, and went into the kitchen, where she saw Samui-niisan... she sat down across the table from him, because she wanted to tell him all that had been told to her the day before... she mentioned everything that Eruderu-dono had told her, and waited for Samui-niisan to respond...*
so..
what should I do now...?

None of what she told him was news to Samui, as Eruderu had told him everything earlier. He knew that what he had to tell her would come as a shock, but it was Eruderu's command, and as the head of the village. his word must be obeyed.
"...exiled..." This was all he said, and all that needed to be said. Eruderu now viewed Miquelet as a significant threat to the village, and was forcing her to leave, regardless of her feelings. He had said that if she were to lose control over the spirits within her, she could very well annihilate everyone in the village. As such, Eruderu couldn't permit her to remain. And the wedding would be cancelled as well, because he would not send his son, disappointing though he was, to share a fate such as hers. Eruderu had asked Samui to stay, but Samui refused. If Miquelet leaves, then so shall he, for he was still her 'brother', and she needed help dealing with this. All that he had said was '...no...''', but Eruderu knew what he meant. Sighing, Eruderu gathered some supplies for the two of them. Even thought he was forcing them both to leave, he harbored them no ill will, and wished for them to find another place as soon as they could. He also said that they had three days to say their goodbyes, and they would have to leave immediately after that.
Samui held up the satchel filled with supplies that Eruderu had provided, and handed it to Miquelet. It contained several days worth of water, several first-aid supplies, and two scrolls. These scrolls represented much of the higher knowledge and training that dealt with controlling spirits, and some of the basics of the village's martial arts techniques. Eruderu hoped that with this, Miquelet would be able to achieve control over the spirits, over time. Such a feat would be all but impossible, but considering the prowess she had showed before this, if anyone was able to, it would be her. Eruderu had also placed a note in the satchel, explaining part of his actions in the past and present.
'Miquelet. I must apologize for all that I have subjected you to. After this last event, I am sure that my vision was misunderstood. It had said that you would usher forth a new life that may change the world, and I had thought to have that life be a child of this village. All that I had you do, was to build your skills for that moment. But after what has happened, I can no longer expect this of you, and you are of no use to me. You shall leave the village in three days time, and never return. Goodbye, and may you find peace."
Eruderu had purposefully written the note harsher than intended, perhaps to be the catalyst in convincing Miquelet that leaving would be best. Samui handed Miquelet the note, and waited for her to read it. He knew that she would be affected at least somewhat by this news.

I... am exiled...
*miquelet sat back, reeling from this development... this had been her home for so long, that to be summarily banished was almost more than she could stand... now, she had nothing... she couldn't return to the Ramen Noodle guild, she would not subject the others to her problem, and now she had no home... Samui-niisan would obviously stay here, as he had no reason to leave... he had never shown that he cared for her, so she knew that he had no qualms of her leaving forever... miquelet realized that with this, she could start over... she could bury her past so deep that she would never remember the poignant days of her youth, the bittersweet memories of home, and the people she would leave behind... steeling herself, she buried her emotions for later, wanting to make a clean break... she realized that if she were to leave without saying anything, the members of the Ramen Guild would never need know what happened, but they would also expect her back for the tournament... she couldn't let them believe such an error... she couldn't tell them in person, but maybe she could sneak in sometime and leave a note...? she stood up, and picked up the satchel... she would leave now, and not look back... if her home would not have her, then she wouldn't darken it's collective doorstep anymore... she walked steadily to the door, and left, not bothering to see what Samui-niisan did...*

Samui watched Miquelet leave, but made no move to follow her. He would follow after he was sure she wouldn't notice him, and stay out of her sight to keep it that way. She would need some time to deal with all that happened, and if that would be easier when she was alone, then so be it. He got up several moments later, packed his sparse belongings, and went to Eruderu, to tell him he was leaving as well.
"So she already left? That is probably for the best. To wait would only make it harder on her."
Samui nodded, and went out into the forest, knowing that this is where Miquelet would be. Sure enough, she was still along the outside edge of the forest, looking back at her former home. Samui stayed where he was, as silent as ever, leaving no sign of his presence. He waited for Miquelet to move, and was prepared to wait for a long time, if needed.

*miquelet had been trudging through the forest steadily, and had just reached the edge, where the dense branches hadn't yet encroached upon the open field adjacent to it... she turned back, for one last look at her home... she knew that once she left the forest, she would have truly left her home, and that, as Eruderu-dono had said, she would never return... her eyes became blurred by tears as she realized that even after all that happened, she would still miss her home... finally, after several long moments, she sighed, and got ready to resume her trek... she left the closeness of the forest, and began to pass through the field... she knew that she had to at least stop by the Ramen Noodle Guild, at least to leave a farewell note... she didn't think she could do it if anyone were to notice her, though... as she thought about this, she never even noticed Samui-niisan, lurking behind her...*

Samui continued watching Miquelet, knowing that she was suffering internally, but also knowing she needed to deal with this herself. He didn't try to understand why she felt such a connection, either to Intoku or to the Guild she had joined. Such connections just didn't make any real sense, or serve much of a purpose. As these thoughts ran through his head, day gave way to night's gentle caress, shadows lengthening as the light was swallowed up by the darkness. Samui's eyes adjusted easily, and he renewed his vigilance on Miquelet.

*as the darkness grew, miquelet's mind started wandering... she imagined the time before all this happened, and thought about what things would be like if none of it had... she realized that although she had gone through hardships, she had also grown as a person... as her thoughts continued, she noticed herself moving... this was odd, because she thought she was standing still... she tried to look down, but couldn't... her mind had no control over her body... suddenly, a blinding pain passed through her back... with a tearing, ripping sound, a huge black wing burst from her back, tearing skin and cloth alike... it was a solid black, not patterned with feathers, but seemingly made of shadows... as her consciousness reeled from the pain, she felt a familiar presence, that of the darkness elemental spirit... it must have tooken control of her while she was distracted... D-miquelet stretched her arms, and a wave of pure darkness passed forth, swallowing up the section of forest she was looking at... her eyes had turned a solid, impenetrable black, and her hands resembled claws, with darkness building them up into fearsome appendages... the darkness on the ground almost began to burn, and the material caught within slowly evaporated, leeched of all life... despite only having one wing, D-miquelet somehow took flight, the wing not even flapping... she took to the air, and went off in a random direction, the darkness spirit within taking complete control...*

Samui's eyes widened ever-so-slightly, a great sign of surprise as far as he was concerned. He watched as the thing that used to be Miquelet rose into the air and took off. He followed, moving at a brisk pace, passing through the trees and over rocks like a cool wind. He kept one eye on Miquelet, and managed to keep up, despite her speed in the air. He came to a river, but didn't slow down. He continued running right across it, the spots where he stepped down instantly freezing, creating several small icebergs. He continued following her, and would do so until she stopped.

*D-miquelet finally landed, in a small, out of the way valley, approximately fifty miles from the Ramen Guild... she looked around, but didn't seem to recognize anything... she stood like this for several long moments, and finally, a tremor went through her... the real miquelet was fighting back, and was gaining back control of her body... after an extended struggle, her body returned to normal, except for the rip along her back, which started to bleed slightly...*
Ow... I lost control... I shall have to be more careful...
*miquelet then realized that Eruderu-dono was right, that she did indeed pose a threat to those around her... if she could lose control that easy, then there was no telling what might happen... she couldn't allow anyone to get near her at this rate... she managed to cast a healing spell to recover the wound on her back, and set down for the night, exhausted from the day's activities and revelations... it wasn't very long before she fell asleep as she was, leaning against a tree...*

Samui finally caught up with Miquelet, and noticed she looked like she was back to normal. He hadn't realized that the spirits could take control of her like that. Regardless, he would still follow her, to make sure she made it through everything alright. He noticed the faint wound on her back from where the wing was, and wondered if it would happen again. If she could find some sort of anchor for her thoughts, she could probably maintain control. But what could such an anchor be? It would have to be someone or someplace that she knew well, and cared about. Samui thought on this for several moments, then stopped. Even if he could think of such an anchor, it wasn't his place to do so. He remained close to Miquelet while she slept, but once she began to awaken, he would remove himself from her sight.

*as miquelet slept, she was plagued with nightmares, brought on by the darkness spirit within her... she imagined herself in a dark hallway, trying to reach a door at the end which was the only source of light to be found... no matter how hard she ran, she never got any closer, and the doorway was always just out of reach... she began to despair, and the darkness seemed to sense this, and began to swallow her whole... she began struggling, but couldn't quite get free... she then awoke with a start, and realized it was all just a dream... a shadow flitted just out of her range of vision, and she quickly turned her head... she didn't manage to see what it was, though... she settled back, and tried to go back to sleep, but the memory of the nightmare was still too fresh... she sat their and focused, building up her mental walls against the darkness spirit... since everything was so dark and silent, she could easily sense it's presence inside of her, where it stayed, lurking, waiting for it's next chance to attack... she could also sense the light spirit that had followed it in to protect her, and sent it a silent thank you... it seemed to grow brighter in response, and the darkness began to dim... miquelet knew there was significance in this, but her sleep-deprived mind was in no shape to determine what... finally, she managed to return to sleep, this time no longer plagued by dreams... several hours later, she awoke, and had a drink of water from the satchel that had somehow managed to stay with her through the previous day's antics... as she drank, she unrolled and began to read the first scroll, which dealt with the finer issues of controlling spirits... nothing seemed to help, but at least it took her mind of f of the current issue... she continued reading for several hours, until she had memorized all the details... she then began to meditate, trying to calm her mind and increase her concentration... the darkness was waiting for this moment, when it could converse with her mentally, since her mind was close to the subconscious level... it demanded custody of her body, and that she relinquish control now... miquelet denied it, and forced it deeper into her psyche, where the light was waiting... the two spirits began another battle, and they seemed to be at a stalemate, until miquelet sent more energy to the light elemental... it then overpowered the darkness, and the darkness withdrew for the moment... miquelet knew it wouldn't give up so easily, however, and that she had much to do in preperation for the next battle... she continued meditating, and the day turned to early afternoon... she then got up, and checked her bearings... she vaguely recognized this area as the outskirts of the ramen Noodle guild... she continued on, trying to reach the guild to deliver her note of farewell...*
