Yep. I had a slight problem with the way Goauld went from being inter-galactic bad-asses to mere comic relief in the form of Ba'al. and I miss Lord Yu! crying He was so cool. A senile Goauld and he wasn't really a bad guy, you know? He was just a little nuts but as far as snakes go, he was really almost a good guy sometimes. xd
The way they should have done it is free systems starting to appear but not pretty much EVERY system being free, besides, so many of the systems would have fallen under the governing body of the rebel Jaffa (sp?).

I was really really upset about Yu, I thought they should have found a way to help him, because I always got the feeling that Yu really wasnt like the others, that he was far more like a Chinese emperor then the crazy wanna-be gods the others were. 3nodding

Yep. I actually yelled at the T.V. when they killed him. xd I was ticked.

I really wonder how they're finally going to resolve the Ori in the movies. Seeing as the humans last ditch attempt to destroy them seems to have failed.
Anyone know when the first one is coming out?

I think eventually, in the end, the Ancients will step in, and deal the final blow. The Ori are the type that can't resist being worshiped, well even if they control the galaxy, the agreement says they can't enter it and they are too bloody full of themselves not to push things too far.

That or the Uber Ancient of Ancient race will come back and wipe their butts with the Ori rofl

The Uber Ancients speak like the guy from the Ikea commercial 3nodding

In response to your question in the Atlantis thread...They have hinted that Jack and Sam are together as a couple now that they no longer work side by side, but are keeping it to innuendo style hints...which I like really.
No need to have them hanging on each other and sucking face every ep. That'd take some of the old fun out of it. xd I like never knowing when I'm going to get a fan-girly Jack/Sam moment. lol

Maybe for the movies they will really tie it all up, that would work since they are supposed to end the SG-1 saga completely. Frankly I hope they bring Jack back for the movies.

they damn well better! They can NOT end SG1 completely and just leave Jack out of it.
I'd have to march on Hollywood and hurt someone for leaving my favorite Minnesota-an out of it! xd

Crap...is Minnesota-an even a word? lol

It's a word now xd

Ya, it wouldnt be right to end it without Jack, the series would just feel wrong, besides, the way its gone proves that you need Jack to really accomplish any true victory, after all, it was all him before wasnt it? lol

I still love watching the episode where T'elc and Jack were in the time loop and spend one period firing golf balls to some planet rofl

OMG that is my all time favorite episode..."In the middle of my backswing?!" To General Hammond. I was dying.

And yes, it must be Jack who ultimately saves the day. It'd be a fitting way to end the show for good. 3nodding

I love watching that one, I can't get enough of the golf part.

I think you need Jack really, because I think fans didnt really get into the series as much with him gone, I think the team didnt seem much like a team either in my opinion.

Yeah, it did lose something without Jack. As much as I love Ben Browder and Claudia Black together, I think it was a mistake to have them both in SG1.
Made it feel more like a Farscape reunion than Stargate sometimes.

yep, thats likely why I stopped liking the series as much at that point, since I didnt like Farscape. I think the major problem was, that too me, they really just rehashed their Farscape characters for SG-1 rather then making new characters and that bothered me. Besides, I didnt like Black's character stare I kept hoping she would die or be writen out shortly into the new seasons she was in. stare

Yep, Vala was just the Anti-Aeryn from Farscape and Mitchell pretty much was Crichton with a different name. rolleyes
Safe to say, all my favorite eps are pretty much in the seasons before that. xd

I think it was the mix of serious attitude that the character Jack brought to the series with his range of humour, being down right funny, not simple minded, but funny. Where as the "replacement" as I have occationally refered to him as, seemed to be a mix of childish and vulgar humour, mixed in with what was, I assume, supposed to be a serious attitude, which he failed at. Even when he is supposed to be serious, I just cant seem to take him that way.

Si just watched that new SG-1 movie, Continuum, great movie!

BTW, has anyone heard about the progress on that Stargate game that was supposed to be released? An MMO of some sort.

Ooh I loved the new movie! Miles better than the last and Ark of Truth was good as well.

I haven't heard anything lately about the game, which sucks. Oddly, I could only find one reference to a stargate game. here = http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Stargate_Special_Ops
