Ina laughed, "Don't thank me too much yet! It's hard work, you know, being a sailor." She would know, having done so all her life, "But it pays off in the end. You can learn and experience so much. The world is so big..."
Her face was practically glowing, "Even I haven't seen everything yet, but I'm getting there. I've been thinking about looking for ancient ruins and treasures and stuff maybe, find the truth to the stories..."
She blinked, then blushed, "Oh, I've said too much, though. Just pretend you never heard that!"

Toshiro smiled, shaking his head. "I'm not afraid of a little hard work. I plan on going into the military, after all." He listened to her talk, perking up a bit when she mentioned ancient ruins and some stories being true... "Pretending isn't in my nature," he said, blinking over at her, arching an eyebrow. "What sort of stories? Where are the ruins? Will you take me?" He paused, then murmured a soft apology. "Sorry, I don't mean to pry, of course. Got a little ahead of myself, I suppose." He smiled a bit, hoping he hadn't offended her at all. The stories he read, the stories he used to escape from his life... It sounded like she actually lived them. Oh, how he envied her...

The girl grinned, 'Oh any stories! I want to travel the world in search of every story I can find and all the ancient ruins and everything. I don't know where they are, but that's half the fun anyhow-- finding out."
Her eyes glittered with excitement, "If you come on my ship, that's what you'll be doing. You'll be sailing the world with me in search of excitement and adventure and new and old and interesting things!"
She tilted her head thoughtfully, "You know, you could always ask some of your schoolmates and teachers and stuff for stories! I've never known any other kids really, so I couldn't ask anyone who hasn't been on my parents' ship or around the docks or cities or anything. Maybe your friends will know some good tales? You could bring the stories with you and we can add them to the collection."

He bit the inside of his cheek when she asked him to talk to his classmates and teachers, wanting stories from them... "I can try," he said slowly. He certainly wasn't making any promises. He wasn't exactly popular at school. Well-known, yes... Both for who his father was and for his talent in archery and his general studies. But that didn't mean he was well-liked. "I'll try," he said again, offering her a bit of a smile. Looking up to the sky, he judged the time by the position of the sun in the sky. "I should probably get going... I was only supposed to be out for an hour or so, and Mother is probably fretting that I'm not back by now."

"Oh, that makes sense." she knew her parents wouldn't be worried about her yet-- if they ever really worried about her at all, "Well, then, I'll see you again soon! Come by the docks anytime. We're not leaving for another couple of days 'cause we have to load up, but even after that we come back all the time, so I'll see you again anyhow."
She waved, then settled back to watch the clouds some more
