Hey, you never know! Like I said, it hasn't been proved, nor has it been disproved!
And this is AVATAR, anything can happen!
XD

And now I'm drunk on thoughts that Iroh's gone off to form a White Lotus rebel army to help with the overthrowing of his little brother...I"m absolutely hopeless, really, I am!
rofl

It'd be totally cool if I'm right about all this, though...It'd be better than winning the lottery.
:3
Quite true. Avatar is known for its bizarre twists, and this would certainly catch a lot of fans off guard.

xD Iroh forming an army would rock. I really hope it happens, 'cause Iroh is awesome and needs more credit than he gets.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 13, 2007 4:02 pm

Yeah, it would rock if Iroh made an army. I actually did find this... Sort of a sypnosis of the Western Air Temple --SUPPOSEDLY...Seeing as how no one has seen it or even knows when it will be out, I suspect, along with others, that it's a fake... But I will white it out, just in case... ninja

But it said that Iroh WAS going back to the White Lotus(which I called ^^) and that they actually had this ongoing plot to initialize a coup against Ozai...Some plan that goes back to when Ozai first took the throne, all headed by Iroh.
I guess that Iroh had been planning this for a long time, and apparently taking on the 'kind old man' persona to fool them or something...
Which doesn't seem right to me, personally. Iroh's always been the one telling Zuko to be true to himself. If this is true, then it will probably turn everything we know about Iroh upside down.
I even had my suspicions back in Sokka's Master that, like in some cases in animation, a physical change symbolizes a change in character. I had this vague worry that maybe Iroh had changed...Maybe this is explaining that...
Maybe the change I was fearing is just going to be Iroh realizing that now is the time that he needs to move and do something to help keep the world from collapsing under his brother, though, which isn't bad.
But, like I said, it could totally be a fake, and I have a lot of skepticism towards this little 'spoiler'.

Meanwhile, I'm here in my Ursa thread, Deviantart. Augh, they deleted my White Lotus picture which I put a lot of effort into not only making the picture, but explaining my theory. Yes, I used screencaps, but I used them to express a new concept that hasn't been explained in the show yet! It's not like I just took one screencap and just used it as my own.
I mean, seriously, my other Zutara: More than just a Ship picture, if you've seen it, THAT would have more grounds for getting deleted, all I added was some text...But no, they left that one alone.
confused
Anyway, sorry to rant, I just got really frustrated about this, since it deleted my Ursa theory over there...

Well, I've seen 'The Western Air Temple', and I can tell you that's a fake. >.> If you wanna see the real episode, go here:

No Ursa yet. T.T Hopefully something will happen in the next episode, though.
PostPosted: Thu Dec 20, 2007 11:03 pm

Yeah, I'm glad it was a fake. Course, once I sat down and really thought on it, yeah, it was obviously a fake(mostly with the contradictory Iroh business...)

I'm thinking we'll get at least a little glimpse of Iroh in the next episode, or the one after that...Maybe even a little Ursa, too. I can't wait to see what the White Lotus is going to do, too. There's just so much that can happen, I'm so excited about it, along with the developing Zutara ^^

Woot, Now that I know what the next few episodes are titled, I'm pretty sure that Ursa will show up in 317, The Ember Island Players.

More random Ursa thoughts, though...
I wonder what the circumstances of her marriage to Ozai were?
I mean, was she truly in love with him, but then realized how power hungry he was, or was Ozai maybe sane-ish once but changed somehwere along the way? Or was it maybe an arranged marriage?
Does she still love him, or was his agreeing to kill Zuko the final straw? (I certainly hope so...)

I don't know if it would be arranged, because the North Pole was the only place that was proven to have those, and Roku was obviously free to choose his wife...Then again, he was only a noble and not a royal...

And you know what I noticed? In all the flashbacks Zuko has during the Beach and even some earlier episodes(like the hand on his back, running through the fields...)
That hand was Iroh's. Iroh was the one holding him at the beach when he was a baby and Lu Ten was a little boy...And Ursa was with him a lot too...Ozai was NOWHERE in those particular memories.

Ozai apparently wasn't that active of a father. Zuko bonded with his uncle and his mother early, but his father was a different story, which explains his later eagerness and desperation to earn his father's affection...

But do you think that his absence in the kids' lives was part of the catalyst to Ursa...falling out of love with him? I mean, I don't want to think that she'd still love him, after all he agreed to kill their son and years later scarred him for life...

I dunno, I guess I just really want to know Ursa's thoughtson Ozai, as well as what Ozai used to be like, if he possibly was once a bit more human and loving. If only to Ursa...

=o I look forward to seeing it.

I'm guessing it was an arranged marriage, she loved him until she realized who he really was, or Ozai changed over time. Which I guess doesn't really narrow things down. xD

I think it was mentioned that Bryke originally planned for Azula to deal with an arranged marriage in S3, which points toward it being a part of royal family traditions. Though, I'm stil not 100% sure how true this is, or if they're plans changed, since nothing with an arranged marriage has happened in the Fire Nation so far.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It seems kind of the family stereotype where the father is always busy with work and other things to pay attention to his child, which causes the child to be closer to either his mother or his extended family. And it does explain why Zuko was so desperate fr his father's approval - it's something he never had.

Man, now I feel even more sorry fro him. v.v Poor Zuzu.

I guess we'd have to check the sources on that arranged marriage deal, though. I don't know what Azula suddenly having an arranged marriage would do to help advance the story, it'd seem kind of random *cough*likeMaiko*cough* ....Plus, isn't marrying age in Avatarland like, 16? Taht's what I've heard, anyway...Though I guess 14 isn't too young in that scale for an engagement to be announced...Meh, anyway...

Yeah, it makes you really understand the thought process that Zuko went through for most of the show. I mean, even more than usual... I mean, Bryke took a sadly common family situation, the father being present, but not really participating, and applied it to their show. It's realistic, that's what I love about it. They got the emotion and the degree that it affected Zuko down to a T.
After his mother vanished he really tried to earn his father's love, because in his mind that was all he had. Iroh was great and everything, but he'd probably been mourning his son and was still 'uncle' Iroh, and not father.

Well, I think they planned on having that instead of Azula's little crush in 'The Beach' so they could show another side of character or something. But, yeah, it does seem kinda ranomd... I'll have to find the interview I read it in. >.<

Agreed - it really helps with the depth and development of Zuko's character, and it makes him much more relatable. Which is why Bryke and Avatar are so amazing <3

Ursa seems really cool. I wonder if Azula might have grown up with a little more of a heart if she had been around. instead of just having her brainwashing father as her mentor. After all, Zuko spent much time with her and look at the awseome heart he has 3nodding

I always wonder that, too. I mean, she seems to have a bit of a heart left, since she was upset when she hurt Ty Lee's feelings in 'The Beach'.

I kinda wish we had seen more of Ursa than just that episode. Hopefully we get to see her in one of the new episodes.

They showed a bit of her in the upcoming trailers. People say its the southern raiders where she finally comes back. Again I think the gaang is going to use June to find Zuko's mom or Iroh.
