Heath had noticed that commander Vadia had been acting strangley latley, as well as the rest of the knights. He felt it was his time to move on. In the dead of night he left his room and went to the armory. All that he could see was an axereaver, a javlen, and a steel lance. He cautiously picked up each item. Then out of the corner of his eye he noticed a vulenary and took it as well. I hope that this will be adequate He was leaving the courpted knights of Bern. He then snuck out of the armory and headed towards the stables. He entered, and went to Hyperion. Heath gently woke up his partner who had been awaiting this day. He walked hyperion out of the stable, and then heard footsteps comming from afar. This wasn't his shift, and if he was caught, the concquencess could be fatal. Without thinking he jumped on Hyperions back, drew his steel lance, and charged the guard. It was a merc. who had come on a request and was now leaving. After slaying the merc. he took what posseisons that he had that might prove usefull in his travles. I can't go back now....... Hyperion was ready, and once Heath climbed onto his back, he took off. Without looking back he left his once beloved Bern. Once he had left the castle walls, the night patroll caught sight of him. Their dragonscried with delight at the tought of some blood. At hearing the cries Heath pulled on Hyperions reins and charged the riders. He pulled out his javlen and struck one of the garudsmen. As the one fell towards the ground an Elysian Whip flew from his person. Heath made a run for it, but the other rider was closing in. He lept off Hyperion, grabed the whip, and roled acros the ground. Once he had left Hyperions back, Hyperion turned around and charged. He was now much faster than the other rider since he had less weight on his shoulders. He simply rammed the knight off his dragon, and then went to heath's aid. Heath had realized that he had just killed a high ranking officer who was bout to be promoted. He was nowhere near strong enough to use the whip, but kept it as a memnto. Culching the whip, he re-mounted Hyperions back, and flew off into the night. Now a deserter of Berns Wyvern Riders. He then threw off his crest, the last thing that attached him to Bern.

Sweat began to roll down Lyn's back as raging flames closed in around her. Lady Madelyn, her mother, held her closely as she rode a steed to get away from the distruction of thier village. Tears and sweat were pouring down the young Sacaen's face as she recalled her father's death. Her mother at the moment was more worried about getting her daughter to saftey then reflecting on how the love of her life died before her very eyes. Just as they got to a clearing, a bandit of Tavalier jumped out of nowhere at the fleeing nomads and attacked them. The horse stumbled over and landed ontop of the sixteen year old girl as the bandit crashed his axe into the woman's back. As Lyn was being crushed by the steed, she heard her mother cry out in pain. Once the bandit retreated, the horse finally managed to get up on it's feet. Lyn began coughing and gasping for breathe. Her mother in the meantime had crawled over to her daughter with the little strength she had left and leaned over her. 'Lynnie.. I can't stay with you any longer...' She placed her hand on the child's face and carressed it softly while attempting to smile. 'I'm sorry... In Caelin you have family.. you have your grandfather there... You should go to him.. ...I love you.. Lyndis..' Her mother spoke her name in her final breath. The hand that was on Lyn's face went limp and fell lifelessly to the ground. As the flames continued to burn the plains she once knew as home, she lied beside her mother's motionless body, as never ending tears fell from her eyes.
Lyn awoke one morning to the bright sunlight shinning through her window. Her face looked more mature than it had two years ago. As she rubbed her eyes from sleep, she sat on the side of her bed and recalled it was the day she would go into town and restock on her medicine. She had hospitalized a traveling tactician two days ago, but hadn't replenished her inventory. After taking a few minutes to get dressed, she stepped foot outside her home on the plains and called for her horse. The brown steed galloped up to her and awaited for her to mount him.
She arrived into the closest town to Sacae which was near the border of Caelin by sunset. A sigh escaped her lips as she remembered what her mother told her about her grandfather. She sulked her head and took her horse to the town's stables. After she picked up several vulenaries and an elixir, she started gathering her gold into her pouch. Just as she was stepping out, she overheard two townsfolk speaking to one another about their marquess. 'Did you hear what happened to Lord Hausen? He's gotten incredably ill lately..' Lyn looked at the two men in the corner of her eye, stepped out of the vendor and began running to the stables to retrieve her horse. Without even bothering to travel back home, she started to make her way to Caelin to see the only family she had left.

Erk was hiding in the bushes from bandits. What am i going to do? He jumped out and casted fire just to slow them down. I have to get out of here and find Serra! He cept running but there was a cliff in his way and the bandits cornered him. "You want me? Well follow me!" He jumped off the cliff hoping the bandits wouldn't follow. I hope there is water and the bottom!

Lyn rode up just over a hill where Castle Caelin came in sight. To her surprise, instead of seeing a vacant green field, there were mercenaries deployed everywhere. 'Maybe they're standing guard to protect the marquess...' In order to find out what was truely going on, Lyn cautiously galloped to one of the nearby guards, who automatically pointed his spear in her direction. Her horse took several steps back, noting the man was hostile. 'Umm.. excuse me. I need to see Lord Hausen immdeiately..' The mercenary narrowed his eyes and told her to get lost. Though she tried to debate further, she was greeted by more units who were ready to remove her by force. Clearly it didn't seem like she'd be able to get to see her grandfather without any help from a higher authority, but who could she go to? Unfortunately, she never payed as much attention when her mother taught her geography than when her father taught her swordplay.. though she did recall from her lessons that Ostia neighbored Caelin however. Perhaps she could get help from Lord Uther. Without delaying a moment longer, she then continued through the night to Ostia.
Without getting a wink of sleep, Lyn rode an entire day and arrived to Ostia's main gates by dusk. She was exhausted, but still determined to see her grandfather. She saw a man with ruby hair and what looked to be an Elimine bishop in the woods nearby watching over the castle's entrance. Still, she disregarded them, dismounted her horse and slowly walked up to the guards on duty. They asked what purpose she had with Ostia... at least it was more friendly then her reception at Caelin. 'I request the presence of Lord Uther, please. It's regarding the marquess of Caelin.' Again, she was shut out. The guards looked at her with an amused face and denied her entrance. 'What business would Lord Uther have with a nomad of Sacae?' They laughed and just as she ran to follow them, they shut the large gates in her face. She took a deep breath and rested her head against the metal doors. Maybe she was meant to be alone..

"Lord Raven... That girl just asked to get in. Maybe we could help her, if she helps us?" He said, without waiting for answer her walked over to where the girl was standing and smiled at her, "Hello... Are you trying to get in?"

Raven dismissed the idea at once, but before he got to say it, Lucius had already run off and talked to the woman. He hurried after him and skidded to a hault. "Lucius! What are you--?!" He shut himself up right then. He had no need to continue. His eyes fell over the woman and he fell completely silent.

Just as Lyn was ready to leave with no hope of seeing her grandfather, the bishop she saw from before ran up to her asking if she just tried to enter the castle. She sighed once more and nodded. 'Yeah.. but.. no use.' When she said that, she caught Raven's eye and got a little uncomfortable. Figuring the two wouldn't be able to help her, she continued to lead her horse back the way she arrived.

Raven sighed. This was horrible... Lucius? Lucius... Lucius... Lucius... That was all that would ever go through his mind. LUCIUS. Raven brought a hand to his head. His train of thought was SCREWED UP... He couldn't think of anything else... ANYTHING else. Nothing at all.

"Yes!" He whispered, and took Lyn and Raven by the hand and walked towards the gates.
"Yes?" The guard asked angrily.
"Uh... I'm a Cleric from Etruia, and I've been hired under service here?" Lucius lied, biting his lip.
The guard thought about it, "And these two?" He said, spitting and Raven and Lyn.
"They're my escorts!" He lied again. The guard nodded approvingly and opened the gates.
"We're in!" He whispered menacingly.

Lyn simply went along with what Lucius had in mind, but at the same time she was wondering why he was helping her. Once they got in, all that was left to do was find out how to meet Uther.. at least that's all she needed to do. 'Thank you very much.. um..'

Raven was surprised when Lucius grabbed his hand. He was being dragged along, and smirked proudly when they were inside the gates. "Great work!"
