These are all great! Now I just have to deside which one to use. xd I did notice that the banners don't link to the guild. I don't know much about that sort of stuff. If it's on purpose then never mind. I was thinking that maybe they could link to our guild page or a thread in the main forum that tells people who and what we are and how to join if they're interested. Just a thought smile

while that IS a very good idea,i don't know how to do that.to get them to work for me i had to download (or is it upload?) them to my photobucket then copy & paste the img code into my sig box.......maybe Artlady would know how since she's very very good at this stuff and so was blax but sadly she left us awhile back. cry we all still miss her but she chose to move on.
but yeah i know they both made such nice banners its really hard to choose 1.also blax made a few special 1's for me and some others.i sure hope she's doing well and is happy heart

Ok I have it up and running smile I will do a little research and see if I can figgure out how to make the banners into real banners. I will post here on my progress.

I found a site to make the HTML code to make the banners link now I need to know where to link it to. We could make a thread in the main forums telling people about the guild or we could link to the profile of one of the guild mules with all the info. Just let me know where to link to and I will make a list of the banners and their code smile

Yea no problem smile Just let me know biggrin I surfed around a little and noticed that most guild's front pages have a long description of the guild and how to join. I don't really have the gold to create a guild of my own to play around with how they get the front page that way. If I had to guess I would suppose you just put everything into the description in the guild preferences. Right now it just says "A place for all who want to have a good time with fishing and want to learn from expert fishermen and women but all in all just to have a good time!"

well i think thats a very good description of our guild.its primarily a fishing guild but i think everyone knows we can talk about anything here.to join us,all anyone has to do is apply and most( 90 % or more) are accepted.after we put banners in our sigs and posted in the fishing forums,we really started getting a lottttt of join requests smile but most of our members are people we met in fishing rooms. rofl i met com in a room just a few days after i spent a whole month chasing her on the overall stats and we became very close friends when she joined us smile

There is nothing wrong with the description as it is. It is short and to the point and says exsactly what this guild is. I think it would be neat though, to have the top fisher's from our guild out on the front page to show the quality of members we have smile Also a little about guild activity's like the bingo, giveaways or fishing contests ect... I agree that the best way to find the right kind of people for this guild is to meet them and get to know them. The thing is there are people out there that fish at weird times that would be great for our guilds but will only see our front page after clicking on a banner. xd

So as for the code for the banners the code is pretty easy. First the template. You will use this to put together your very own code using your favorite banner in your own Photobucket. It would be way better if you use your own Photobucket because they only let you have so much bandwith per account.

Template

So all you need to do is have the banner you like in Photobucket. In Photobucket click the on the banner. It will take you to a page with the banner on it and 4 boxes Share URL, Direct Link, HTML Code,and Img Code. If you were just wanting to post a picture you would put in the Img Code. For our purposes we will use the Direct Link box. If you just click on the the URL in the Direct Link box it should say copied. Paste this in place of the sentence "http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h94/estadan/guildbanner2.jpg". It should look something like this.

Example

[URL=http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/index.php?guild_id=53015]
[IMG]http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h94/estadan/banner5.gif[/IMG][/URL]

You take this and copy and paste it into your signature. It should take a few minuets for it to update. Come here and post so I can see if it works! Let me know if you have problems. I will help if I can. sweatdrop xd

HAH!! It worked!! I repeat myself but ESTADAN YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!

I think we should put some pictures or some of our banners or some avatars of some members or something on the front page to make it more colorful and pretty. biggrin Even out description could be livened up with colors or balloon letters or whatever.
