Ealir nodded, making sure Halen received the message. Thought she stood near perfectly still, she felt something slowly uncurling inside of her, like watching a flower begin to bloom. Only, instead of making her think of peace and beauty, Alirae's flower made one think of death and anger. Go away, I can't deal with you right now. She told the demon, resisting the urge to growl out loud.

Alirae seemed unconcerned with Ealir's needs, slowly reaching out as if remembering the control she had before her fall in power. Ealir felt as if she was only watching, watching as her body stretched slowly, getting accustomed to an old familiarity. It feels so good to be back like this.

My body. Stop NOW.
Her eyes snapped shut, fighting back Alirae.

Halen blinked as the feelings from Ealir's end of the bond stopped again, just for a flicker. She turned her head slowly, seeing her wyrm conflicted with something. Ealir?

The single worried thought that passed between them was enough to make Alirae back off, almost like a vampire too close to sunlight.

One of his clan? For a moment, he feared another slayer, some human with an intent to end his poor and simple life. The stiffness seemed to go out of Brutus at the mention of her being one of his kind, though from a different branch of the tree. "I... feared," He began slowly, trying to form a coherent thought into words, "that... you, you were... them."

Alinta, though not privy to the goings-on between Halen and Ealir, sensed something was wrong and felt her attention being divided neatly in half. She glanced quickly back and forth between the werebear and Halen and Ealir, not sure which was more in need of the close eye at the moment.

Ravea, meanwhile, had her attention focused solely on the other therian, trusting Alinta to keep her back. She pitied the other therian. It was obvious that he was a few twigs short of a full branch. "Who is 'them'?" she inquired curiously, slowly straightening and folding her wings against her back. "And you don't need to fear us. We do not want to hurt you."
