Eisbaer We need a third prompt. *nods* I'd do one but I SUCK at coming up with prompts. is it time for a new one already? O__o it doesn't always have to be like a word or anything like that...it could also be a picture and we would have to write about what ever comes to mind when we see that pic... 3nodding like for example:
Handcuffs...when i think of them a few things come to mind: Jail...and the SHKM video...or two people (preferably Dero and Richard whee ) cuffed together by some strange accident...which i was probably involved in doing. ninja *cuffs the boys together* Boys: Hey scream get these off of us...me: what would you do for me? wink Richard: Cook?Dero: stare ...nothing.me: oh, okay then *whistles and walks away* Nothing to see here...Dero: uh, wait...i guess we could always *wiggles finger to make Jess come closer and whispers idea in her ear* wink me: idea twisted that might work. heart Richard: gonk crying

Title: Snowed In Author: watchdawg77 ( rolleyes ) Rating:pg-13 for language and stuff A/N: um, no not really. But yay for toasty scarf wearing Dero!
“I ********’ hate the snow.” Dero growled as he trudged through the snow beside his two friends that cold snowy Christmas Eve.
“I like it.” Crap said fondly, smiling as the snowflakes tickled his nose.
“Yeah…b-but it’s freezing.” Flux said, his whole body shaking.
Dero glared at his shivering friend, as he wrapped his red scarf tighter around his neck, “well, here’s an idea…since sixty percent of your body heat escapes from your head, why don’t you wear hat?” he mentioned coldly.
Flux shrugged. “I don’t know, I just don’t like to wear them. And why aren’t you wearing one?” he asked, nudging Dero in the ribs.
“Because I have hair on top of my head, genius and I don’t need one…” Dero explained.
“It would mess up his totally cool spikes.” Crap interrupted, with a smirk.
“Will you both just shut the ******** up…and stop standing around? I’m freezing my balls off out here.” He continued, as he stomped angrily towards the dorms. The two boys just nodded and followed behind him without another word.
>>>
When they got inside, evidence of peoples Christmas spirit was on full display. From the mistletoe hanging above a few of the doorways to people singing drunkenly to Christmas carols, it was all around them and couldn’t be avoided.
“Hey, look mistletoe.” Crap said glancing at the top of their doorway.
Dero shot his friend a ‘don’t even think about it look’ and shoved past him, hanging his black wool trench coat neatly in his closet and tossed his scarf upon his bed, then proceeded to remove his wet freezing boots
Their room was different then the other college dorms, in that theirs was able to house three students instead of the normal two. It was sparsely decorated and anyone who walked in could tell it was a room full of guys; just by the way their clothes were strewn about. None of the furniture inside matched, except Dero’s bed and computer desk. The sleeping arrangements were also different too. While Crap and Flux share a bunk bed (occasionally fighting over who gets to sleep on top), Dero has his own, situated in the corner of the room. They also weren’t very sociable with many of the other students though…Dero for being a drinker, Crap for being a smoker and Flux for being a quiet nerd.
“Hey guys, I heard there is gonna be a Christmas party…do you wanna go?” Flux asked, as he too hung up his wet coat. “Um…nope.” Dero said, removing his wet jeans and throwing on a pair of pajama pants.
“Why not?” Flux asked, tugging on Dero’s arm.
Dero pulled his arm away and said, “Because that would give me an excuse to hang out with abnormally cheery assholes. And that doesn’t sound like fun.”, and then flopped on his bed burying his face into his pillow.
“they have eggnog…” Crap whispered in his friend’s ear, but Dero rolled over and faced the wall. “I don’t like eggnog.”
“not even the kind with alcohol in it?”
“NO!!…can you just leave me alone, you guys can go if you want, but I don’t want to.”
Crap sighed heavily, “you’ve been a real jerk lately…and we’re just trying to cheer you up.” Then he walked out of the room, slamming the door loudly behind him.
“He’s right you know.” Flux said as he sat on the edge of Dero’s bed.
Dero sat up but said nothing for a minute, and then apologized. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to be so…ya know assholeish. I just hate the entire Christmas season is all, it has nothing to do with you guys.”
Flux nodded, and patted Dero on the shoulder. “It’s okay…you don’t have to explain.”
“Yeah,” Dero said quietly then looked around the messy room, “we should do the laundry.”
Flux winced at the clothes tossed around and agreed. “Let’s find Crap, he can help us haul all this stuff to the laundry room.”
After searching for about 15 minutes, Crap was found making out with some half naked drunk chick. ‘He is clearly plastered as well,’ Dero thought, ‘because if he was sober, he certainly wouldn’t be making out with her…or any chick for that matter.’
“why do we have to do laundry now?” Crap whined as they made their way towards the laundry room.
“Because,’ Dero explained behind two baskets full of clothes, ‘everyone’s at the party and we’ll have all the washers to ourselves.”
“yeah.” Flux added, his arms also full with of bags of clothes.
“so…that still doesn’t make me want to do them any more.” Crap grumbled as he opened the laundry room door, then set the basket down for a moment in order to search for something to prop the door open with, finding a chair a few minutes later. Forgetting that the door had to be left ajar, Dero tripped over the chair and the clothes flew out of the basket and all over the floor.
“verdammtnochmal!” he growled as he sprawled across the floor, “we’ve been here 4 years and they still haven’t fixed that damn thing yet?!”
“what happened? Did you trip over that chair? Here I’ll move it…” Flux said, moving the chair inside the room.
“No…” Dero said.
“Don’t…” Crap continued.
“what?” Flux asked.
“MOVE THE CHAIR” they both yelled, as the door closed heavily.
“That’s why we put it there, dummkopf! So, the door wouldn’t shut on us, it’s been that way since we got here…” Dero said, placing his palm to his forehead.
“I didn’t know…I’d never had to do laundry…you guys always did it.” Flux tried to explain.
“just shut up.” Dero scowled, as he moved the clothes bags into the corner of the room and sat on them with a huff.
“Looks like we’ll have to stay here until the morning…hopefully someone will notice we’re missing and come looking for us.” Crap said glumly, placing his basket on top of the washer.
“No…you think?” Dero replied sarcastically, crossing his arms.
“just what is your problem?” Crap rounded on him angrily.
“shut up…” Dero mumbled.
“no, I want to know!” he growled, grabbing the front of Dero’s shirt.
Dero sighed heavily then said, “Fine…the reason why I hate Christmas is because when I was little I had a younger brother who died on Christmas Eve.” Crap and Flux listened quietly as Dero continued, “We we’re going skating on Schlemmer’s Pond and the ice was really thin, but I told him to come out on the ice anyway and skate with me. He made it about halfway, and the ice cracked and he fell in. I tried to save him…but I couldn’t reach him in time. My parents we’re so angry and upset with me, ‘you killed your brother’ they said and I never ever forgave myself. It was the worst winter ever…I think about him all the time, but Christmas is especially the hardest.”
“You never told us you had a brother…”Flux said staring at his feet, his voice barely above a whisper.
“I never saw the need.” Dero said quietly, as he checked his watch. “11:52…we should probably go to bed.”
The boys nodded. “but where are we going to sleep?” Flux wondered.
“here…together?” Crap asked.
Dero said, “how else are we going to stay warm?” as he arranged their clothes in a neat pile for them to lay on.
>>>
It wasn’t long before the were all huddled together trying to stay warm.
“good night guys...and Merry Christmas.” Dero said.
“good night. Merry Christmas.” Flux and Crap replied as they both wrapped an arm around their friend.
“oh, and if you ever mention this to anyone…you’re both dead.” Dero said with a smile as he closed his eyes.

eek Why is it the nicest, innocent prompts end up giving us the....darkest ideas sweatdrop Here's mine: In Memoriam December was always cold, but no matter how cold the thermometer said it was that one night every year, the two men always felt it to be at least 15° colder. There was no stone marking this place, nor would there have been, but they always knew where it was. Trudging there yearly for their small vigil, through the snow, the sleet, the ice, they stood there, freezing, sang a song, and built a snowman. Every time, the incident seemed just like yesterday, no matter how many years went by.
****************
It was cold, but not overly so, so they decided to build a snowman. Why exactly, neither of the three of them could be sure, but it felt like something to do, and so they did. Although the snowman didn't even really get built, they were too busy chucking snowballs at each other, sneaking up behind one to shove some snow down their coat and run away giggling like little girls instead of full grown men, completely ignoring the half-finished snowman.
"Hey, c'mon guys, seriously, this snowman's never going to get finished if you keep playing around like that." He said, the other two tried not to giggle and nodded.
"Ja vater," Said one, poking his friend, which only served to get them both to snerk.
"Oh shut up, just because I'm the oldest doesn't mean I always have to be the one disciplining you two."
"And yet here you are again, telling us to stay on task like we're getting graded for snowmen building." Said the tallest, smirking maniacally as he rolled the ball for the middle of the snowman around and around a few feet away from his friends. Lugging it back, he plopped it on top of the bottom, with help from the other man as he watched on.
"There, now you get to do the last one all by yourself." They both chimed, almost in harmonics. The oldest glared at them momentarily, but was met with nothing more than two gigantic grins, so he trudged over to get the snowman head started. "We'll look for some rocks for the eyes and mouth, and some good arm-sticks!" They called at him, wandering off towards the forest to find what they needed.
****************
Stupid juvenile idiots, he thought at first, rolling the snow together to make the head. However, of course, it wasn't perfect, so it took him forever, three times as long as any of the children who had ever made snowmen in the history of the world, he figured. And he was getting cold. His deer stalker hat had gotten wet, so he'd taken it off, letting his head air out in the frigid weather. As he was about to put the snowman's head on him, he realized just how huge it was. "Definitely idiot little boys." Apparently, the other two wanted to make a snowman taller than any three of them could reach, and of course they left the shortest one to put the head on. Setting the large ball down, he began to form some hard-packed snow "steps" he would use to put the head on because he sure as hell wouldn't just throw it up there. It felt like it had taken an hour to make, and he wouldn't ruin it.
After he finished the steps, he did look around, wondering where the hell they'd gotten off to, it wasn't that hard to find about seven stones and two sticks in a forest, was it? "Apparently it is, for the dummkopf twins." He said to no one in particular, stepping carefully up to place the head on top. About what seemed like minutes later, he'd gotten it to his liking, wondering what it looked like from the ground, so he jumped down and took a look at it. "Oh for....Dammit." The head was about 2 times too small. He had to cart more snow up to it and round it out. Which meant he'd actually have to climb onto the snowman itself since his steps were only so big. Midway through, he was somehow clinging to the snowman, pat patting down the new snow he'd put on, and his foot slipped. Everything went in slow motion as he lost his grip, falling straight to the ground, and everything went black.
****************
"No YOURE the idiot because you almost got attacked by a beaver." The two finally returned, smirking as always, with a bundle of sticks ("we couldn't pick the best two"), and about 20 rocks. Their smiles faded, however, when they didn't see their friend standing and looking annoyed around the snowman.
"But shouldn't hi..wait, that's his hat." The taller one pointed, suddenly feeling an icy chill down his back as he dropped the rocks. The other quickly did the same, rushing up to find their friend on his back. They almost retched.
"That..." He pointed at the red snow near their friend's head. "You touch it...." They argued momentarily about who would check, who would touch him, until finally, nibbling on the inside of his labret stud, he knelt down, gently moving his friend's head aside. He almost retched again. There was a large stone behind his head, which had created a big...hole...Quickly, he let go of him. He leaned back on his knees, touching his throat for any visceral signs of pulse, before collapsing and crying onto his chest. The taller man just stood there, unable to think, falling to his knees as well, sort of staring blankly off into the distance, not knowing what to do.
****************
"You know he hates this song." The taller one said, smirking and pushing his friend playfully.
"Well it's his own damn fault, he wrote it." They laughed for a moment, putting the finishing touches on their snowman, the hat resting perfectly on the head they'd sculpted for hours, sitting down and just singing the song until it got too cold to breathe.
Then, they stood up, walked arm and arm, away from the lifelike snow-creature, and the small sign they dug into the snow yearly: "We miss you," and had a cup of cocoa, his favorite drink, in the nearby shoppe, in memoriam of their friend.
