Amiboshi continued to walk aside his brother as they followed the trail in what they hoped would lead them to the next village. He then looked over at his younger brother after hearing Suboshi's words.

"Well, it should not be that far away. It sounded when we met her yesterday that she had just left that village," he said, trying to recall how Soi appeared the day before. "But it's not like we are no rush, right?" he said with a small forced smile to help reassure Suboshi.
Suboshi smiled back, "Yeah, no rush."

As they walked, he recalled how Soi had described the town. She made it sound dangerous. Suboshi glanced at his brother. The likelihood of finding work there was small, and Suboshi began wondering if was worth their time. He was also worried about needlessly endangering Amiboshi.

"Do you think the town after this one that we're going to is very far?"

Nakago

"Somehow I knew you would."

Nakago looked out the window of the carraige, not focusing on anything, just looking off into the distance, his mind wandering back to the previous night. He had not seen the mark of a Seishi...but then, he had beaten him harshly...and blood would cover the mark, and then also, not all seishis were marked in as obvious a spat as his own. But he had been aware of the power being used on him...his Chi...and most normal people were not aware of it. they accepted it as a power that celestial wariors and sorcerrers and the God's had...and that was all...but he had identified it immediately. Things could get more and more interesting.

The Caravan continued along towrds the village, but up ahead two young travelers were spotted. The assassins clad in black and the loyal soldiers remained in formation as they approached, and then the assassin at the helm bellowed.

"Out of the way for an envoy of Kutou!"

Nakago looked back to the front of the carraige, bringing his hand up to his forehead, brushing a few blonde strnds to the side. There was still something more...with all his power...all his expirience...all his training...what was ithe was missing...?

Amiboshi was about to open his mouth to answer his brother's question but heard something coming up behind them. Soon after he heard the command from the assassin. He stopped walking, turning around to face the caravan. His eyes than narrowed as he stared at them for a moment. He could feel his hate and rage for war and the people who create it rise.

The older twin soon let out a sigh of disgust, lowering his head slightly. "Come on, Otouto," he whispered out to his brother, taking Suboshi's wrist and led him to the side of the road so that the caravan could pass. He was concern that Suboshi would want to challenge them, but feared that they would be too much for the two of them.

So he stood by his brother's side on the edge of the road, continuing to hold on to Suboshi by the wrist. His eyes were ice cold as he watched the caravan starting to pass by them. His hate was getting so strong that his character was starting to glow on his right shoulder. Knowing this, he used his free hand to cover up his shoulder firmly.

Chichiri daa-ed and ducked as the pillows began to fly across the room. He chibily made a break for the door, but got nailed with several pillows before he reached the hall.

"I GIVE UP NO DA!!!" he laughed as he fell over.

Miaka allowed the child to drag her into the living room while her nose picked out each delicious odor that greeted it and her starving stomach. "Mm... rice... and soup with... mmmm... little bits of bamboo and... some kind of spice... and that smells like... yup, water to drink!" Her stomach gurgled and Miaka drooled, shouting out "Itadakimasu!" before she broke from the child's hold and bolted through the doorway and into the one room that separated her from breakfast...

...And tripped right over another child.

She yelped and face-planted into something soft. At first she thought it was a pillow and giggled thankfully, until she noticed that the pillow was moving and was covered in a dark blue robe. "Oops," she murmured, turning her head to the side and finding herself staring into Chichiri's face. Miaka blushed and waved nervously. "Ano... ohayou, Kitsune-cha - I mean, Chichiri-san. Did you, uh, sleep well?"

Opaaru
"DAAA!!! Oof!" Chichiri was flat on his back trying to catch his breath. He blinked before realizing it was Miaka. "Ohayo priestess no da!!! I slept just fine na no da, are you ready to go to the capital today?" he asked cheerfully and picked himself off the ground. His mask was a bit wrinkled and had seen better days, he'd have to get the spare after breakfast.

The kids involved in the pillow fight were having a grand old time...Most grown ups would not participate in even the slightest manner...most would have scolded them, or taken the pillows, or both.

The children clambered noisily in behind the Guests..and breakfast was ready and waiting...a veritable feast....at least a feast in relative terms...they were meager villagers...but with the revalation of the other evening...they were holding nothing back.

"Good Morning!"

Soi's eyes narrowed and a grim light seemed to flicker across her emerald irises. She had been nice really, but these slavers were trying her patience. Dark clouds began rolling far over the village and small patters of rain began to fall.

"I thought we were discussing prices," the told them quite cooly as she straightened and stood to her full height, "now you're being quite rude. I suggest you apologize or else I might take it to mean we can't do business."

Her hand casually rested upon the hilt of her sword as she pinned the leader with an icy stare.

A soft gasp escaped Yui's lips as her face turned completely pale when the leader spoke of killing Kouji and making the woman become a slave as well. "N....NO YOU CAN'T!" Yui tearfully cried out in protest, not wishing any blood to be shed. Because of her, Kouji was going to get killed and that woman was going to become a slave as well. There was some way she had to help them out of this mess. If it werent' for her, they wouldn't be in this mess to begin with. She had to help them but they were greatly outnumbered. It amazed her how calm the woman remained, despite how ugly this situation seemed to be getting and her eyes couldn't help but drift over to the window where it was suddenly becoming dark. It was as if the weather was reacting to the situation in this here hut. This wasn't getting anywhere, even if the woman decided to give them more, the men would still rob her and take her into slavery as well. Summoning up all her strength that she could muster, Yui began to struggle once more for her freedom, slightly wincing in pain as they tightened their grasp upon her even more before she harshly stomped on one of the men's foot before stomping on the other guy's foot as well. This was a stupid action for her to do but she had to do something. Besides, she already knew they wouldn't kill her, no they already spoke of how much of a value she was and they wouldn't harm her much, that would spoil their merchandise. Yui only hoped that she was right with her theory.

The thugs did not equate the change of the weather with the woman standing before them...but they had gotten a reaction, as desired.

"Heh...That's more like -"

He was interrupted when one of the two holding Yui yelped in pain and suproise, letting go of her arm...the other took the hit, but was a little more ready. it hurt, but he knew his duty..and that was to restrain this girl, so he grabbed for her now free second arm, and attempted to pull her around and then pin her to a wall to re-restrain her.

The first, who had his foot thouroughly stomped clumbered around bumping into Kouji.

The leader approached Soi...though it was obvious that he did not mean well.

"Allright then...If you really want her...com by the largest hut on the south side of the village...we'll see if we want to keep her or not in the meantime..."

Once again, Nakago was brought from his thoughts...but this time it was the voice of the assassin at the lead. it seemed her was ordering someone out of the way...which would not have normally concerned him...most got out of the way as soon as they saw somethin glike this coming their way...but as they got farther along, he almost thought...just a touch...a hint...

The illusionist turned his head to listen to the stirrings outside. He tried to open his senses to whatever was going on, but nothing seemed too out of the ordinary. However, if Nakago seemed even the least bit troubled by it, perhaps it was something worthwhile.

He had not been paying much attention to the approaching envoy, and was somewhat off guard when his brother grabbed his wrist and drug him off.

"H-hey-" he stammered. He started to say more but caught a rare, icy look in Amiboshi's eyes. The reason for that look was quite obvious, and Suboshi did not like it one bit. He did not share his brother's intense hatred. The younger twin understood his brother's anger, and felt much of it himself. But it was strange; Amiboshi was a far more forgiving person, but Suboshi had less issues to take up with the military. Perhaps because he could not remember that night in their home village as clearly, or perhaps because he was more opportunistic than his brother. Amiboshi was apt at finding the good in people, but Suboshi was good at finding the benefits in a bad situation. In the past, he had taken up with some unsavory people to reach his goals, and he was able to make things turn out okay. In the case of the military, Suboshi was not forgiving, he just saw himself as better than them. He was a seishi afterall, he had power the lowlife soldiers that attacked his village could only dream of. On a regular basis, he could pass by a soldier without blinking an eye, knowing that one day, he might be able to order them around. But now he could feel his brothers rage, and it set him on edge. So much that he half-considered callenging the assassin just to set his brother at ease. His own seishi character was starting to flare up on his shoulder just thinking about a fight.

"Rich bastards," he growled quietly as he caught site of the elaborate carriage within the envoy.

Using up all that energy had freed her arm from one man but weakened her own state even further. She felt a wave of dizziness strike through her as the bandit still holding onto her arm made a grab for her free arm. That small wave of dizziness was the only opportunity the man needed to take hold of her free arm. Yui tightly closed her eyes the moment she was pinned to the wall and struggled to get free from this one man's grasp but her body had already endured enough so trying to get free was futile, even if she did get free, than another would just grab her. Her back stiffened as she heard bits and pieces of the woman and the leader talking. She didn't want to go anywheres with these men. The thought being alone with them frightened her and made chills go down her spine. She didn't want to be here, she wanted to be home, where it is safe and slavery is illegal. Everyone was probably worried about her for suddenly disappearing like that or maybe just Miaka was. Her parents were always too busy working that they would just think she felt better and decided to stay over at Miaka's house. If only she were healthy than none of this would have happened in the first place and if it did than she could have at least had a chance to escape. It seemed like they were going to let the woman go but what were they planning to do with Kouji? Yui was more worried about him than herself and she hated the fact she couldn't do anything to help him. Well maybe she could work her disadvantages to her advantage. Like the woman stated, they wouldn't want to take in a sick girl, especially when it would only slow them down so all she had to do was act sickier than she really was so sick that they would decide just to let the woman take her off their hands. With this in mind, Yui forced a series of coughs out of her lips though they soon became real after awhile. Her knee caps slumbed and well the only thing holding her up as the man's strong grasp of her. She had to make it look like her previous struggling hand worsened her condition.

Kouji eyes widened as Yui's knees buckled. He couldn't take this anymore, she needed help! "Yui!" he cried out in alarm. He was heavily outnumbered, what to do? Attack them in the hope that somehow Yui would escape whilst he distracted them? Unlikely in her condition. Grab her and bolt for it? There was no way that would work and besides, he was a bandit of Mt. Reikaku he didn't run from anyone! He tightened the grip on his sword. "Yeah you all could kill me," he remarked with a grin, "but I've got nothing on me worth stealing and I would take a hell of a lot of you with me, that I can promise. So hurry the hell up and come to agreement and if you decide to kill me just let me know who wants to die with me."

Soi closed her eyes at the seemingly never-ending idiocy of the man. Although meeting up later with the slaver sounded reasonable considering there was very little damage they could inflich upon a seishi, the seishi doubted Kouji would oblige.

"You're not helping. Didn't I tell you not to be stupid?" she asked exhasperated. So much for discretion.

"Drop the sword," she ordered as the ions in the atmosphere crackled in preparation. Soi then turned to the leader, "I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I'm meeting some friends in the opposite direction. I'd prefer not to make a long trip, besides she might die on you by that time. Are you sure we can't settle on a price here?"

He squeezed a bit on his brother's wrist in reassurance, though it was unsure if he was trying to reassure himself or Suboshi.

The convoy continued on past the Boshi brothers, and as the carraige that Nakago and Tomo rode in passed by, Nakago spoke.

"I believe we have just passed someone of interest, travelling on the same road."

He closed his eyes and focused his Chi. If that little hint was what he thought it was...then he would get their attention. He spent a moment basically giving off energy to draw the attention of anyone who could sense it in the area.

"We should be arriving in the village soon...Have one of the assassins circle back and find whoeever it is we just passed...make sure he makes it to the village before we leave."

Yui's eyes stared over at the leader as he barked orders to the man restraining her. She had managed to finally get her coughs under control but one thing still puzzled her.Why was it that they all followed him? Was it out of respect? Out of fear? Her thoughts were soon shattered the moment she noticed the man she had managed to pull herself away from come stomping back in her direction with a rather angry look in his eyes. Yui's eyes completely widened as her whole body flinched when he grew closer. She turned her head head and instinctly closed her eyes, already embracing herself for the hit to come but nothing ever came. Fortunately for her, the leader, to her suprise intervined and stopped him. So at least she was right in theory. She felt complete relief go through her as the leader made the man back off her. That man, she could tell, was going to keep that grudge on her and if they didn't sale her to the woman and she got better than that was when the man would probably get even with her. Kouji couldn't possibly save her, they were just too outnumbered. She rose a brow while the two men whispered, trying her best to make out what they were saying in thus taking her lip reading into practice. When the whispering ended, Yui suspiciously watched the man head outside. Just what were...no...but than again...with these guys she wouldn't put it pass them. Yui still wanted to refuse the fact that the farmer and his wife would sale her off like this but if they did and the wife was still here, than that exactly wasn't a good thing. Bright side was, they were finally coming to an agreement and no blood has been shed but Yui prayed she was wrong about the fact the slave trader had gone off to search for the farmer's wife.

Soi gave a mock scowl. 60 copper taels wasn't so bad though she was surprised any of them could count so high. Beneath her cape she slipped the coins into a smaller pouch.

"Ugh, I hope you're worth it girl. There goes all my money," she grumbled the lie tossing him the pouch.

Genrou was tired and sore and bored. Where exactly were they taking him and why? What was this shogun's huge interest in a bandit of Konan? Was it just his tessen? Genrou scowled and ignored the blood trickling down his forehead as a wound reopened with the creasing of his forehead. 'I'll get my tessen back,' he vowed to himself, 'and I'll make sure blondie pays for this!' The ropes were loose and he could maybe rid himself of them but for the moment he was in too much pain and in addition to that he knew that despite his speed he might well be caught and even if he wasn't his tessen would be spirited away from him.

The bandit's thoughts turned once more to Kouji. Surely the blue haired bandit knew something was wrong by now, he was the smarter one after all! Even if he did though, what could he do? Kutou was a big country, he wouldn't even know where to start looking for Genrou and there would be no chance of helping him against the shogun's soldiers without the other bandits. No relying on his best friend and subordinate for aid was futile. Somehow Genrou was going to have to get himself out of this mess.
