River glanced around the store as she listened to Zhi talk. It had been a while since she had last been there, since Alex was in charge of grocery shopping, as he was the one who cooked everything. And since she had a vaguely ADD-like personality, she was terribly distracted by all of the things on the shelves. But she was still listening, and paused to reply at points. "I'd like to try your cooking, Zhi!" she said cheerfully. She was completely biased when it came to cooking, since she had really grown accustomed to her brother making all of her meals (her mother hadn't been a great cook, but it had been years since then.) she had somewhat unrealistic expectations. But more than anything, she just respected people who could hold their own in the kitchen, as she had a bad habit of burning things (she got impatient and found other things to do).
She was still a little confused. If Zhi wasn't going to cook, then were they going to eat something already prepared? "But I like the idea of dinner. What are you looking for?" she added, noticing that the Chinese girl had started to glance around, hoping to find something. River had only been there a few times, but that was enough for her to (incorrectly) feel like she knew where things were. She could find whatever Zhi was looking for!

 Vlad was staring off into space, half looking at some baby magazine when he heard the word 'Bistro' and felt eyes upon him. Blinking the dark haired male looked to the two young girls. "The Bistro? We got rid of that like awhile ago.." Vlad said plainly before he leaned back in his seat and grabbed a different parenting magazine. s**t has been haunting his thoughts as of late. He couldnt look at a hot woman without thinking of what his and her babies would look like. Or whenever he did see a pregnant woman he thought of Camelia. Same with whenever he saw a little child or some young teen. Camelia was right in giving him time to think things over. But Vlad hadnt gotten far on his own... it might be time to talk it out with someone else. But who?

For a moment, River was confused. It hadn't yet occurred to her that Zhi would be out of the loop, and had actually forgotten about the bistro as well, and so she stared at her companion for a moment, wondering if the girl was just confused, or was thinking of somewhere else, or many other things that could be causing her friend to mention a bistro. It wasn't until Vlad spoke up (she was startled, as she hadn't noticed the man was there) that she remembered that there had been a bistro attached to the general store. "Ahhh, that's right! They got rid of it after you left, Zhi!" she crossed her arms and nodded knowingly, as if she had remembered all on her own, without any input from Vlad. "Good thing, too, I was so nervous it would be competition for Alex's restaurant or something," she added in a hushed tone. What good luck they had! Now the people of Nirvani really had no choice but to go to Alex's place! If they didn't want to just eat baked goods, then it had to be Alex's cooking. It made her feel a little proud, thinking that he was their only option~ It felt a lot nicer than it sounded.

Oh, finally! Zhi raised her brows as she saw the cashier speak up for once out of his supposed thoughts – really! What was more important than her and River?! She was an idol for a very short time and River was, well.. River! Not to mention they were customers! She made a mental note to call the guy's boss and tell him just how horrible of service he gave them. Maybe then he'd treat his next job more seriously. A hand went to her hip as she tilted it to one side, listening to the man in what started to be mild annoyance.. that quickly grew. The bistro wasn't.. here? Her brow creased and she sent a look to her left – because River was to her right and she didn't want her to see her looking all angry and ugly! There wasn't anyone there to share a stare with, though, so Zhi quickly returned her attention to the cashier.
“Are you stu–?” She started to say until River spoke and all her irritation was swept away in favor of turning on her toward the woman to listen to her obediently and calmly. ..Oh.. So.. “They don't have it?” She asked needlessly with a soft frown – but.. This ruined everything!! Zhi could see her whole dream date being shattered to a million pieces! Why did they have to get rid of the bistro?! She was happy, sure, that River was happy about it being gone – which was why she gave a small nod and smile at her for it, along with a mindless giggle – but.. Where was she supposed to take her out now?! At that moment, a thought crossed her fretting mind and a real smile of relief and determination crossed her features. “Will you wait, River?” She asked sweetly to the woman as she looked over at the cashier pointedly and motioned off towards where she knew the backrooms were. Not that she really knew much about the general store, but anyone would know that a locked, plain door behind the register had to be the employees only area.

Vlad just stared back at Zhi half wondering if his daughter would be this stupid. Or son.. he could have a son too... s**t.. what would their names be? He hadnt.. what the hell was she gesturing too? Vlad threw River a confused look and looked behind him only to turn his gaze back on her. "Im sorry im not a mind reader so if you want to speak English that would be awesome." Vlad said with a shake of his head in disbelief. He opened a recent issue of Parenting magazine and started looking through it. Seriously though.. what was wrong with women? He didnt have telepathy! ******** if he did he wouldnt be here! ...Well maybe not. Either way he just hoped his daughter would understand that. Oh God what if she didnt? What if she was like every other woman... that.. "You should know whats wrong!" Yeah.. no that never worked. "Or the, no really im fine." When they really weren't. Why did women do that?! It was the most confusing thing on the planet. Its probably also why men died young, they had to spend their lives trying to decipher women! Unless they were gay... hhmm.. he wondered if gay men lived longer than straight men?

If there was anything River was really good at, it was staying blissfully ignorant of any and all situations. And so when Zhi asked her to wait, she didn't question the girl's motives or why she was asking, and replied with a simple "No problem! I can wait!" She just assumed it meant that Zhi really did need to run errands afterall, and that's why they were there. Of course, she did look curiously after Zhi as she walked away, but that's as far as her train of thought went. If Zhi wanted her to wait, she would be patient and wait! ...But she had a fairly short attention span, and so it didn't take her very long to get bored and wander off to look at the things on the shelves and read the labels, to keep herself entertained. This day certainly had taken an interesting turn, but she was certainly capable of staying on her toes and keeping up with Zhi's thought process, even if it was confusing and hard to understand most of the time. That's what girl friends did, right?

“Listen up, tàijiàn.” ..Huh, it had been awhile since she said that.. Zhi paused at how odd it felt to say the word before going on with a hard look. “I don't know what you are on, but it's not going to mess up my date. River and I are more important than anything you could possibly be thinking about and we better become your first priority now.” Her eyes narrowed and she straightened up, crossing her arms after a quick flip of her hair. She looked down at him and raised her volume to a more normal setting, “I'll pay you whatever you used to charge for the bistro, but we are going to eat here – so, stop being lazy and get to it.” She let out a huff at the end of that and waited impatiently for him to get started on her.. er, 'request'.

"First off.. sweetheart." Vlad said with a growl to match if not surpass the girls. "This is my store.. as in i own the place. So dont order me around like some maid. Second off... Sorry im a bit preoccupied with being a father soon. Id say that takes precedence over anything you and your little girlfriend want. Im sorry to inconvenience you. But aside from making a picnic in the store in a isle somewhere. Im not about to serve you, i dont even have the means to do it anymore." Vlad said firmly back. He shook his head at the girl, before speaking again.
"Not to mention little miss but i dont respond to being bossed around by anyone. You want to eat in the backroom? Be my guest, have at it. There's a coffee maker and a microwave at most. So good luck. OR.. you can buy what you need like a normal person, and have a picnic somewhere outside.You want to impress little miss blondie then do it that way." Vlad frowned before he resumed what he was reading. Was he a little testy, yeah he was. Little sleep, little to eat, s**t constantly on his mind. Vlad wasnt his usual self..

“..Er.” She said in surprise as she straightened back up and gave him a look of pure confusion. “..Are you pre-op?” She asked in a lower volume, just in case River was nearby to overhear. Her eyes went down to the magazine he was reading and she rolled them – she hated being ignored. So, it was with little hesitation that she snatched the magazine from him, rolled it up, and dropped it in a nearby rack, “You can't lie to me. Father? The – ...” She stopped and dropped her voice to a whisper, “treatments make that impossible.” If it had been a year since, then of course the man would have already had them! ..Though.. she had to admit, it was weird that he looked.. well, like a he. A very effeminate he, but still a – Oh! “You are F to M, aren't you? She didn't tell me that! But,” She raised a brow, her irritation earlier long forgotten – something she would kick herself for because River should never leave her mind, even for a second! “you still can't impregnate someone post-op – were you told nothing?”

" What?! Are you- Im not Dante! Thats my brother you idiot! Im Vladimir! " Vlad snapped at the girl, a look of disbelief on his face. "And may i add he only dresses in woman's clothing he's not a woman. Jesus christ... I know were twins but holy s**t woman! I'm a male and damn proud of it. Now get the ******** out of my store if you're going to be a little miss gossip b***h!" Vlad boomed as he got up and slammed his hands down on the counter. He pointed to the exit of the store and glared hellfire at the kid. Kid to him that is.. She was probably old enough to be a young lady but s**t if that thought was going to enter his mind! "And the next time you want to run your mouth or order someone around. Make sure that one, they arent older than you and two arent the owner of the store you're trying to buy from!" Vlad barked. "I have enough s**t on my mind lately, i dont need you ******** up my day! Not that you honestly could ******** me up more than i already am. Yes.. Get it straight kid. There are TWO Tepes, were twins. One, my brother Dante, is into Drag. The other is not, because the other has so many ******** up problems to begin with i dont need to add to it!" Vlad boomed at the girl again.

“I'm sorry, Zhi, but I'm too sexy and perfect for you. This pity date just proved how wrong you are for me, so I'm going to go find a real woman who knows when a bistro is still in business or not. Also, I hate the skirt, you have poor fashion taste. Bye.” The little River in her head shook her own head slowly and walked away to go join Una and some NPC supermodels – and that was when Zhi cut back to reality where she was bawling her eyes out and speaking in broken Chinese that even Mao would have trouble understanding. Her date was ruined and it was all this man's fault! She would have to go live the rest of her life like.. like a Disney princess without a prince! She sniffed and turned on her heels to hurry off to the backroom. Mostly because River had left in the other direction and she didn't want her to see her with her mascara running.

"Aw jesus christ!" Vlad whined. Nooo! why did teens have to cry? Especially right now?! RIGHT NOW!? When all he could think about was his own possible daughter and how much of an a** he was being to Camelia by not.. oh... ah ******** shoulders sank and he instantly took on a look of regret. He sighed albeit angrily and got up fro his seat. He walked over to the back room and pushed the door open. He propped the thing open, and yes he had camera's in here too so he could make sure no one had snuck back here to steal anything either! But that was irrelevant now.. he had to deal with a crying teen.. whom he caused the whole issue with. "Where are you?" Vlad said gently he looked around for Zhi. "Hey.." Vlad said as he found the girl crying. "Goddammit. Stop it. I'm sorry alright? I was an a*****e. I've got alot of s**t going on.. i didnt mean to make you cry... " Vlad sighed. "Look i cant stand it when women cry. Look.. hey.. look." Vlad said as he approached the girl. "If i make a picnic basket for you and get you a plush blanket to sit on... do you and your little girlfriend want to have your little date upstairs somewhere? Its quieter up there." Vlad said now all he wanted was the girl to stop crying and blabbering in Chinese. He didn't mean to make her cry he had just been wrapped up in his... own stupid head that he wasn't thinking about other peoples needs.

But, she wasn't going to be stupid and show that. So, instead, she ducked her face in her hands and continued to make small little sobbing noises~ ..Really, how could her manager not have found her an acting gig? This was complete gold~! “A-a.. p-picnic?” She said in between tears and went quiet for a second. ..She guessed it was better than nothing and, if her ears didn't fool her, there was some rain starting outside. A picnic indoors would be perfect! She nodded slowly and sniffed, “C-can.. c-can we have s-some w-w-wine too..?” She peered up at him from behind her hands with wet, shiny eyes, “..T-the good w-wine..? A-and can you set i-it up? For me and River?”

OH good she was calming down thank god.. er.. Goddess. Vlad sighed out of relief and nodded. "Yes, just stop crying. Now.. go grab your girlfriend and bring her upstairs. Ill be up there soon enough with the stuff to set up for you." Vlad said before he stopped himself and became very confused. Dear god... did he just say what he thought he did?! He would set up a picnic and give some nice expensi- ******** it.. just ******** it. He would do the same for his daughter... if thats what Camelia was having. oh a little girl would be so cuuuute! Vlad headed out of the back room and grabbed a basket to start collecting some items. The expensive wine, some nice deli meats, cheese, crackers, bread, condiments, glasses, napkins, plastic plates. Salad, fruit, veggies.... Vlad stopped in the middle of all this and looked down at the basket that was now full. "Oh ******** me..." Vlad sneered at himself and shook his head. "God damn... getting s**t for some whiny teenager.. ********.. if she has a girl im ********. Im completely ********. I wont win at anything. Any argument will end in tears and me feeling like s**t." Vlad said as he walked through the isle to grab chips, dip, salsa, soda, candy. "And then ill apologize and both Cam and my daughter will get whatever they want, cause im an idiot." Vlad said as he picked up the blanket. He paused for a moment. "Valkyrie.. thats a nice girls name.... i should use that... Valkyrie Ivy Tepes.. something like that. Yeah..." Vlad said to himself still. At length Vladimir headed upstairs to where the girls had chosen a nice spot inbetween some displays. "But.. if its a boy... maybe Isaac.. or Constantine. Hnn..." Vlad approached the girls only to set the blanket down first before he set everything out for them. He was apparently Suzie ******** home maker at the moment. When everything was nicely set up, putting more effort than he needed to, only because his brain was preoccupied... Vlad stood back up and looked to the girls. "Have at it.. " He said before he headed back down stairs to give River and Zhi their privacy. "Oh God.. what if she has twins?" Vlad stopped just before he reached the cash register downstairs.
