Never could do pickles.
Helped out my mom (a 1st grade teacher) during their first day back at school. All the classes were giving their school tours. It was very cute.

Zoe walked today! I didn't think she would for a few more weeks because she's just started standing up without holding onto something. She surprised me though. We were sitting in the middle of the floor sharing a banana and she stood up and balanced really well. I moved away from her a bit and she took a couple of steps towards me. Another time tonight she took 7 or 8 steps all in a row.
Off she goes!

Way to go Zoe! Yea!
The girls had a great day. K told me she could walk herself. I couldn't let her of corse. I had to walk her. My baby girl in kindergarten. Alex was nevous. We switched schools because of the fubar the pricipal put her last school in. But she ended up having 2 friends that she already new in her class. One from Karate and one from Piano, and two friends from her old school were in the next door class. So she had a great day. I actualy got a nap! eek
I'm glad Logan is doing so well lunashock! I know what you meen by the listening thing. I wish mine would listen to me as well as they listen to others.

Awww I love those milestones, way to go Zoe! heart
ekorbaaz, I'm glad to hear your girls did good on their first day. Naps are freaking awesome, I think it should be a requirement for mommies. xd
fried pickles, well, it depends on where you live lol. I know Sonic makes them even if they're not on the menu. I've never tried to actually fry them up myself, but I've got a pretty standard fry mix. I'm going to try to make some and let you know how it goes!

Ritz, that's so great about Zoe! Lauren's not far behind. She took a while getting to where she wanted to crawl, but now, she's cruising all over the place and standing any chance she can get. She stood yesterday with no hands for about 2-3 seconds. Seems like a short time, but it's just the start!
Our bad thing that's happening now, though, is she's pooping in the bathtub.
EVERY night!

I had a cousin that did that.
D has done it before too though. I think that's something that every child goes through at least once.

What did you do about it? I've read to change bathtime, but I hate to do that because it's our wind-down routine. And I've heard to cut it short too, but Lauren loves splashing around. So I just stare at her face and at the first sign, try to whisk her onto the potty. I need to get a little potty cushion so she's not just hanging over mid-air. It kind of freaks her out.

Ummm, trying to remember... I think we just started waiting until after she went to put her in. She seemed to go the same time everynight. so I just switched thing up a bit. I'll have to try and remember if we did anything else. I know it was back when my sister was stay here too, and so cousin would always be in the tub with her, barf. Maybe she remembers.
I do know part of the reason it happens is that the bath helps them relax.

Thanks for all the congrats, gals! The one bad thing is that not only does Zoe walk now, she also climbs. She managed to move her little rocking chair over to the piano last night. Then she climbed on it and stood there playing the piano. It was pretty funny, but I'm wondering what else she'll be into soon!
Aliena, Zoe's pooped in the tub once. Luckily I was not the one bathing her. You have my sympathy though. That wouldn't be fun to deal with. Can you believe our girls will be one in less than a month and a half? Do you have any recent pictures of Lauren? I bet she just gets cuter every day. 4laugh

Ew. I'm taking mental notes about this so I'll hopefully know how to deal with it if it comes up.
Ethan is THIS CLOSE to being able to roll over. eek It's the beginning of the end and soon, he will be mobile. Time to start baby proofing, I think.

No you're just going to have to deal with him firehosing things for no apparent reason. It still would have been nice to have a boy. But every now and then William will be like thinking and he'll say, MY GOD I'm glad we didn't have a boy, they are gross...like for NO REASON AT ALL. I sure as hell wouldn't want to have raised me. So GLAD we have girls.
