 It's all about mind over matter...
By chance, one of the two moons of Genesis happened to be a full moon while the brighter one was at about its quarter waning phase. However, the group would not find this out until much later. It was nearly twenty minutes of walking within the darkened hallway before the ground leveled. Once it leveled though, there appeared to be torches that were lit by a magical green fire.
"Wah! Ran! I want to go back! We should back you know!" Higis spoke, watching the green fire.
"But we don't know what's further in..." Ran pointed out, somewhat curiously.
"Nu-uh! No way!"

"I think we should keep going," spoke Mickey, glancing at Higis with a small smirk, "Unless you're chicken~" True, this situation was completely different to when he'd called her chicken, but it was payback all the same. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Be who you are, and say what you feel... "Even if I knew about them, I probably wouldn't believe them," insisted the girl. They'd gotten this far; it only made sense to keep going! "C'mon~ We're probably almost done anyway~" ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"So that's the worst that could happen, Higis... Let's see what else might happen," Ran spoke.
"Yeah, but I'd really not like to die quite yet. I'm happy doing this, you know, Living thing..."

Be who you are, and say what you feel... Mickey almost wanted to make a joke about if they died, but she didn't want to give Higis anymore reason to freak out. "Just relax. Nothing bad will happen." ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"Yeah, right..." the normally optimistic boy spoke. He did not want to walk into certain doom, but perhaps the girl and his friend were right.

"Now now, we can't do that... Killing him would not be very nice and ditching him might make him lost, then we'd have to find him again," Hari spoke, trying to not sound amusedly flustered, "Aside from that, I'm not quite sure how to make his mouth shut."
"I blame you!" Higis exclaimed though he did seem to move towards the light a bit more confidently. Ran rolled his eyes playfully before going on, this time taking the lead. It was unusual for Higis to be against something but it always seemed that he had good reason when he did finally do so. The folklore in the Mercunias region was that green fire usually signaled as a 'turn back' warning. There had been all sorts of bad stories that related to most people being killed after seeing a green fire. However, the deaths were never the same kind.

Nariko whimpered lightly trying to be as cute as she could though he couldn't see her."But It's takeing all my will power not to sink my teeth in him and kill him this time. You froget I haven't eaten since before we got to that one kingdom place."

Be who you are, and say what you feel... "Hey!" Mickey made a face in the near-darkness. "Nothing's gone wrong yet! And nothing will." The latter sentence was added rather quickly. Nothing would go wrong. The half demon followed boldly after Ran. Of course she wouldn't be worried; she didn't know any of the stories they boys did. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

The small group of people, though, continued to walk through the halls lit by green fire until they came to a door made of black iron. There appeared to be no way for air to freely get through the door without opening it.
Though the very sight of the door made Higis want to turn around and walk away- happy that nothing bad did happen- Ran seemed to have other ideas. The male's hand reached out towards the handle to pull the door open but Higis managed to quickly grab onto it and pull it away. "Are you crazy?! What part of you thinks it's SAFE to do something like this?! This door screams bad news!"
"Then eat something," the male spoke, "You just can't choose to kill him. That would impede upon his own choice."

Mickey supposed Higis had a point... An iron door at the bottom of a dark, conveniently placed underground tunnel... Definitely something that belonged in a scary movie. But after all the arguing she had done to get the boy thus far, she wasn't turnnig back now. "Come on, Higis! We came all this way! If we go now, we might never know what's behind door number one~" ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"I'll take the booby prize! LIFE!" the boy spoke, his whine never really leaving, "Behind door number one is a giant SERNT! Aren't you glad you know now? Let's GOOOOOO~"
"We don't know that for sure, Higs..." Ran spoke calmly though there was somewhat of a mischievous smirk on his face. He liked these sort of things- perhaps it was something about the tension building up and not knowing what would happen.
(I thought you liked Basa xD)
