And Aura didn't have mind to answer him. Not because she didn't want to but because he hadn't heard him. The last five minutes of the group interaction had been lost to her. Pushing herself from the counter she walked to the doorway.

Meeting her at the doorway came Eclipse, slack winged and ears lying back limply, almost stumbling into the kitchen. He sat back on his haunches not far in the doorway. "Aurahkah...I can't stand this..."

Aura kneeled down and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him, then brought a hand up to run through his midnight fur and then along his ebony feathered wings. "I know you're not used to this...and I'm sorry that I can't do anything for you."

He whimpered and leaned himself against her, resting his head on her shoulder. "I know...I didn't ruin the little party you're all having in here did I?"

She laughed softly, laying her hands into his fur again. "Not at all dear."

Eclipse went to make a move in defense but Aurahkah's hands in his fur and their tug stopped him.

"No need to exert any energy. You need all you can get." She let out and exasperated sigh, turned to Cole and stood slowly, placing a finger to his blade pushing it up with her as she rose. "You were at the village weren't you?" She looked to Bastet. "You see, this is why I don't take kindly to the village or anyone from there. They tell the most horrible stories about me. Horrible horrible slander. Come now Cole, listening to those stories is bad to your health. And I assure you I didn't come from Hell. But my life was like one for a time." She ended her statment with a smile and then broke into a laugh at the accusation.

Nialah raised an eyebrow and laughed, "Well Cole. It seems you have made a fool of yourself." She stood up and walked over to him. Pulling the sword from his grasp she looked at his shocked face. "I must ask you though, what kind of stories are they telling down there at the village?" she asked pushing him into his seat and giving him her glass of wine. "Here. You need this more than I do. Oh and the language is not a 'witch' language. It's ancient Egyptian. We all speak it. Well the three of us, anyway."

Darius awoke again with the unpleasant voice in his head. "Go away!" He shouted not too loudly at the demon.

"I'm only trying to help you transform."

"What if I don't want to?"

"Too late"

Darius sat straight up in his bed, as the voice let off some. I'm fine, I havn't changed yet. Just as he was making the statement, he felt something twitching behind him. He saw his tail was much much longer, almost to the full length. His horns and wings had grown sufficiently as well. "Damnit all!"

He stood up sraight and looked in the mirror, somehow he managed to make his hair look really messy, but it covered his horns, "This'll have to do for now...."

Stomach reminding him why he had to hide, he left his room, turned invisible, and went downstairs to the kitchen where he saw the girls he knew and someone he didn't. When he saw Eclipse, he jumped a little, because it was still a shock to see him. Walking silently to Bastet and Aura he tugged on one's tail and the other's wrist, to get them to leave the kitchen for a moment. The voice came back even worse.

Bastet shrugged, "That shows that you should not listen to a drunk, now does it not?" Oh if he knew the gore she had seen....Suddenly she felt violated by a tug on her tail. When she turned around she saw nothing, and was at first confused, until she smelled Darius near her. She was being tugged out to the main room, as well it seemed Aura was too, "Excuse me for a minute, I have to check on something."

Quickly she walked out of the room, pulling Aura after her. "Not quite Jaxom, but someone else you know."

Now in the hallway with Bastet, she looked to her friend with a pure expression of confusion. "Say what now my dear friend?"


Eclipse laid his head in the chair Aurahkah had previously been in. He snorted again, speaking more to himself than anyone. "Thief..." He had smelt him but paid no mind and let his eyes close, trying to relieve his dizziness. "Oh my head..."

Cole reached for Peace Giver. "It is a family heirloom. It has been passed down for generations to the oldest Dartton boy."

He looked at the wolf and said, "What is wrong with him? They were wrong about him as well. They say he has wings of a demon, but his are more like an angels. And he is not quite as tall as they claim. Still, a remarkable creature."

Cole had seen Aurahkah look at her wrist and wondered why Bastet and Aurahkah had left so quickly. He also thought it was strange they had not taken Nailah. He narrowed his eyes. Something was going on here, and he intended to find out what it was.

Smiling at Nailah he said, "I have taken your wine. If you would be so kind as to get me my own glass, you may have yours back. After all you are without a doubt old enough to drink." He held up a hand to stop her from saying anything. "I am twenty-two years old. I too am old enough to drink."
