Kiseki looked at Ula. "Birds. We don't have many of those back at home." She then saw Corin was gone. "Huh!?" She looked around, a bit worried, before seeing the pigeons scatter a bit. She then saw Corin pursuing the winged creatures. "Corin!" She stood up and went over to the other.
Riley couldn't exactly understand what Mark was feeling as he spoke. Then he thought of his mother and Woodpecker, and an icky feeling rose up thinking about it. "Hm... Mark..." He the smiled and leaned against the other. Anything more would have gotten them flagged by the city police. "I'm here. Okay? Whatever they did to you in the past...I'm here."

Ula nodded. She hadn't seen any at Q City, but she remembered them from when she'd lived with her other family and the Pack. She'd tried catching one once, but to no avail. They were really hard to get. The Hound watched Kiseki go after Corin, the little one still in pursuit of the winged flutterers.
The kidden had slowed his crawl a bit, trying to sneak up on the pigeons. He was a bit clumsy, but had the beginnings of what might one day be a reasonable 'stalking' posture, eyes on the birds in front of him. Though, when Kiseki walked up, they fluttered further off. The kidden pouted, looking at his sister. "Kiki! Bah!" he pointed at the birds. "Bah ba!"
Mark blinked, looking at Riley silently a few moments before giving a small smile, putting an arm around the other. "... Yeah. I do have you." He enjoyed the silent moment for a little while, and got his head on straight. "Alright ... lets play a few games, then head back to the hotel. We'll need to strategize. Now, where did those kids wander off to-- ... Ah." He spotted the trio a bit of a distance away, apparently looking at some pigeons. "... Riley ... would Corin try to ... eat, one of those?"

Kiseki shook her head. "No 'bah'! You're not supposed to catch those. Besides...if I remember what pigeons eat...I doubt they'd taste very good." At that point, on the birds flew over her and pooped right in her hair. After a shudder of disgust, she became enraged and started her 'hunt'. "Aahhh! I'll get you!"
Riley was relieved when Mark finally calmed down. "A few games, yes." Then he turned to see where the kids had gotten off to. "Wait, what?" He looked at Mark briefly before spotting the kids among a flock of pigeons. "Corin...eat... Aaahhh!!! Corin, no!" He jumped his feet and ran over to them to get him away from the pigeons. But then, just as he got there, a pigeon pooped on his face. "Ah..." His eye twitched. "Yuck! Ewww! Mark, you get the kids! I need to get this off! Ewww!!! I think some landed in my mouth. Pe-YUCK!!!"

Corin pouted. But he wanted to get the 'bah' birds! They had fluffy bits like the toy Mama let him try to catch! The kidden's eyes widened when Kiseki got splatted on, before she went on a rampage after the birds ... while they fluttered all over in panic. He got even bigger eyes when Riley came over and ... got splattered on as well. Then the baby giggled delightedly, highly amused and lucky enough to not get bird mess all over himself.
Mark followed after Riley, quickly grabbing Corin and hurrying the baby into his 'sack,' then taking Kiseki by the hand and forcing her to abandon her vengeful plans agaisnt the birds. Ula, wisely, had kept her distance and was clean and black. Corin had some splatter in the hem of his pants, but the kidden was too busy laughing to notice. "Okay kids, lesson today: don't mess with pigeons." He snickered, trying not to laugh too much. Karma had a way of making pigeon poop in one person's face easily end up on someone else's head.

Kiseki looked at Mark when she was suddenly grabbed. Slowly, her lower lip began to quiver and she started crying. "Daddyyyy. Birds go poopsies on meeee!!! Waaah!!!" She stood there, completely upset.
Riley had dashed off to the public bathrooms to wash the gunk off his face, out of his mouth, and get the smaller flakes out of his head. On his way out, though, someone came in, also having been pooped on. "Agh. Crazy birds, huh? Someone must have seriously pissed them off."

Mark smiled, picking up Kiseki and walking towards the restrooms. "Shhh, baby girl, it's alright. Lets follow mommy and get you all cleaned up." Mark binked, seeing one person heading in ahead of them while Riley was coming out. "Aie, those bloody wing'd arses, thah's wha' they 're," a rather thick scottish accent replied as a vaguely-familier face stomped into the restroom to was some bird mess off of his arm, grumbling about having to be dragged 'acrouss two bloody states' and 'stauffed lika sardeen in a tin-car' for two 'bloody' days to watch some 'bloody' football player try to get some attention from a few of the scouts heading to a charity meet. Mark blinked, and smiled. Huh. Seemed the shrimp from gym class didn't recognize either him or Riley. Well, they hadn't really known each other anyway. Mark walked Kiseki to the sinks, helping the little girl clean her hair while Corin sucked his pacifier worriedly, sad his elder sibling was upset. "Kiki ... Kiki bah ..." Ula waited outside with Riley, tilting her head at the odd, almost foreign-sounding words the bean-pole of a man made.

Kiseki looked up at Mark, tearfully. Slowly, she nodded her head and started walking into the bathroom.
Riley blinked when he ran into the very familiar ex-classmate. Just hearing his Scottish accent made him want to laugh. Though, he held back. "Y-yeah." He then saw Mark with Kiseki. "Ah. Poor girl... Hurry and get that stuff out of her hair before it dries. Then it's utter hell from there." He walked past Mark and picked up Corin. "Now do you understand, Corin? Pigeons are not something you want to eat. They are foul, disgusting creatures."

Mark nodded, quickly getting to work getting the rest of the muck out of his daughter's hair while Riley had a talk with Corin. "See Kiseki? All better. Now we just need to dry your hair off and you'll be as good as new, and can go play all sort of games. Doesn't that sound like fun?" He kept on talking as he used wads of paper towels to dry the little one's hair as best he could, smiling calmly.
Corin blinked at Riley with a tilted head? Eat those? But they moved! He just wanted to catch one and see what the feather-fluff felt like. But he nodded all the same, giving a: "Na bah," (no birds) and a big smile.
The Scottish man was leaving, pausing when he saw Ula. "Aw! Wha' a cute little lassie!" He bent down, petting the surprised Hound. "Reminds me of my li'le Yapper a' home." He smiled wide, clearly a dog lover, before going on his way a little less wrathful at pigeons and a little more happy at getting to see a friendly dog. Though, he was still going to chew the football player's ear off for dragging him through all this fuss.

{It just occurred to me. Scotsman is with the football player, ain't he? Hah! For all his fussing, he can't leave the guy on his own. Reminds me of this series I'm reading right now...}
Kiseki looked up at Mark, then at her reflection, seeing the gunk was no longer in her hair. "Yaay. No more nasty stuff!"
Riley stared at Corin, putting the infant into his saddle. Then he looked at the pigeons. "Wait...it couldn't be so simple? Corin, did you...want their feathers?" His attention was then drawn away to where Ula is. "Ula? Are you okay?"

((Totally. >w< ))
Mark grinned, tossing away the used paper towels before putting Kiseki into her little saddle too. "Yep, you're all clean now. Though, I think it might be best you and Mommy have a bath when we get back to our room at the hotel."
Corin gave Riley a big smile. "Mya! Bah ffoo! Ffo!" Apparently, that sounded a lot like a positive answer. "Bah ffoo. Mmm, ffoo."
Ula turned to Riley, head tilted. The Scotsman had spoken really funny, but he petted really gently. She nodded, giving a smile before standing, ready to go play some games.
Mark walked over to Riley. "We all ready to go and clean of bird leavings?"

{Hey. I think...I just got an idea for a new RP. It'll be tough to pull off though.}
Kiseki wasn't thrilled at the idea of a bath, though she was trapped by the feeling of cleanliness that would be the ultimate result. "..."
Riley smiled, having managed to guess what Corin wanted. "Hey, Mark, it seems Corin likes feathers. He never wanted to eat to pigeons. Perhaps we should buy everyone a new toy while we're here." After making sure Corin was properly in his sack, Riley then bent down a bit to check on Ula. "Are you okay? None didn't on you did it?"

[Oh-ho-ho, really? Do tell]
Mark smiled, patting Kiseki when he saw the conflict on her face. "We'll make it a quick one; how does that sound?" He turned, hearing what Riley said. "Feathers? Ah ... that explains it. We'll have to get him something nice and fluffy, then."
Ula smiled, turning around and showing she hadn't gotten hit anywhere. She hadn't gotten very close to the birds, like Corin and Kiseki, so she'd gotten out of the mess undirtied.

{It similar to an earlier I did called 'Stranded', but different setting and starting point. I got it from this manga I'm reading, and then the Scottish fellow and the football player. I want the setting to be in high school, since that's a crucial time for young boys/men coming into/out of puberty. The main characters in question will be two males who have never had anything before high school, first year. They fight ALL the time, but don't hate each other. The closeness that results binds them together in a way that makes them an obvious couple to those around them, but the two in question are completely clueless.}
Kiseki looked up at her dad, then gave a slow nod. "That's okay. Kiseki wanna feel clean." Then she looked up upon hearing that her brother only wanted the feathers and not the birds themselves. "Feathers...?"
Riley smiled, glad that Ula was fine. "Hm... Yeah. We'll play a few games, see if we can find Corin his feathers, then head back to the hotel for a bath before dinner." He looked down and pat Corin's head.

[Ah~ Sounds like a fun situation!]
Mark smiled, glad Kiseki wasn't too unhappy with taking a bath. He chuckled,, seeing Corin giggle happily at getting some soft stuff, proclaiming "Ffo! Foo!" excitedly.
As it appeared they were all ready to head out, Mark took the lead. "Alright, to the games! Now ... which ones, which ones," he mused as they left the park, and soon came to where many little stalls with prizes and games were. "Hmm ... Kiseki, Ula, what do you two think?"
The little Hound sniffed the air, appreciating the smell of food from a few eating contests, but wondered what sort of game would be best. It looked like most of the games had people tossing or shooting stuff. She couldn't shoot, and her tossing something might look odd.
Mark was scanning prizes, trying to catch sight of something nice and feathery. Though, most prizes looked to be stuffed animals or balls.

{It does, right? I'm working on it right now. It might be posted up sometime later on in the early morning.}
Riley walked alongside Mark as they traveled among many game stalls.
Kiseki looked from one thing to the next, trying to see what both she and Ula could play. Finally, she saw what appeared to be a skill game. One of the game stalls was about shuffling cups, finding the white ball hidden beneath. "Oh... Ula! How about that one? That one?"
Riley looked down at the small Hound pup. Then, after a moment of consideration, he picked her up and held her body so it wouldn't crowd with Corin's. "There. Now you can see better."
