 It's all about mind over matter...
"Oh nothing~ Just that only a complete chicken wouldn't do it~" Higis teased playfully, earning a look from Ran. He honestly didn't think that Mickey would be able to pull a stone out from the alter even if she did try.
...if you ain't got no mind, it don't matter.

"Aha~ excuses excuses~" the boy continued. If the other two boys had been pressuring the girl, perhaps it would have been more effective but Higis egging her on was more like a playful version of a schoolyard bully. He could call her names but there was no intent to force her to do anything.

"You should get some gems for you~ then~" the boy commented, finally letting go of the tree branch and catching himself with his other hand on the ground. Though it was kind of neat to watch the boy single-handedly cartwheel off the tree trunk, it did not appear as though it was entirely unusual for him to do so. "Fine! Then I'll just do it myself if Little Miss Chicken will not."

Higis seemed confident up until he was squatting down next to the alter. His head looked over his shoulder at Mickey. "Wh-What?" the boy spoke, somewhat flustered, "You don't need to be all up in my business..."
