"I'm okay..." the boy called out as the two reached the edge of a sudden drop. Higis sounded as though it had hurt a lot, having fallen about six feet onto the rocky floor, but it was hard to tell if he had hurt himself enough that they would have to stop.
"Really... you need to watch where you're going..." Ran spoke with a laughing smile, "This isn't the place to be leaping before look."
"Haha..." the boy replied rather sarcastically, "You all should be thanking me. If I hadn't fallen you guys would have totally fallen."
Too bad you will...

"We're headed this way anyway, aren't we?" Higis spoke up to the group, finally standing up and rubbing his rump painfully. It smarted, that was a given, but the boy didn't think that he did much damage to it otherwise.
"Yeah..." Ran agreed with the boy, lowering himself down before making a short jump down. It was odd that the young man was able to look somewhat elegant in his jump, but perhaps it was the way his blond hair sheened in that split second from the spitbat's light. "Need a hand, Mickey?" the boy asked, already offering his own up towards the girl with a smile.
Too bad you will...

Be who you are, and say what you feel... "I'm okay," she declined, returning the smile, though there was a small hint of cockiness to hers. She got down in a similar way to Ran, but her jump was bigger as she was quite a few inches shorter than the blond. A small thumping noise was made as her feet his the ground, but the jump was, though not as elegant as Ran's, very clean. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Ran merely chuckled at the girl, letting her do what she wants and moving down the path at a comfortable pace. Higis quickly moved so that he was in the lead once more, not wanting to be in the back. It was only a couple of feet that the group had started to move once more that Shorn's own jump could be heard.
The red-headed male had not bent down to become closer to the ground, but instead just jumped over the edge and landed a bit further out than Ran and Mickey. His landing and jump had been extremely rough-looking, though it didn't seem to affect the male in anyway. Had someone they knew been watching, they might have said that Shorn looked like a wild man about to attack as he rose from the jump's recoil.
Too bad you will...

Be who you are, and say what you feel... Mickey made a face at Ran when he laughed, but relaxed to a smile after a moment. She followed after the boys, only glancing behind her slightly when Shorn landed. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

It was a maze of twists and turns through the tunnel, but after about 20 minutes of walking, the smell of fresh water seemed to float into the air. The sound of running water trickled down the walls and the air seemed a lot lighter than the salty-smelling air had.
"It looks like we picked the right path..." Ran commented pleasantly.
"It's not fair that you were right though!" the other boy complained as the first signs of light became evident. Though when they had been outside of the cave, it had been nearing sunset, the new light was a warm, mid-day sort of light. The first signs of blue-green grass could be seen though it was very sparing.
Too bad you will...

Be who you are, and say what you feel... Mickey blinked, curious, as she took in the new environment. "Where are we?" she asked the guys. It was harder to see in front as both Ran and Higis were ahead of her. There was no way that, in the time they had been walking, the sun had set and risen again... was there? No, even in this world, that was impossible! And apart from the water, wherever they were seemed different to the beach. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

 It's all about mind over matter...
"We're in a cave, silly!" Higis smiled brightly, keeping his pace as it had been for nearly the entire trip. The further he walked, the more lush the grassy area had gotten until they reached a larger area where the light seemed to be coming from.
"We're most likely at the outskirts of Mercunias if you want to be technical about it," Ran added, "This cave was- at one point in time- a temple dedicated to the High Priestess Esters Windsor, at least that's what we think. You probably don't know anything about her, but she was the first high priestess recorded into history. Her lover is said to have been the god, Krishna, himself, and her children are supposed to make up the entire royal family. Even the current king is descended from her bloodline."
It was hard to tell that the large area was inside of a cave. The ceiling still had the rocky cave wall but the walls were lined with black and green marble and had fresh water running off of them, with the exception of one area. The light came from a bright yellow orb near the ceiling and seemed to be powered by an unknown force. As for the flooring, there was a stream that separated the bluegrass ground from the marble walls. In the middle of the room, there was a medium-sized tree with purple blossoms and grape-like fruit growing from it. Behind the tree, the ground met with the single area in the wall that did not have flowing water. It was there that an ivory alter had been set, the floor being made of white gold with jewels inlaid in it. At the base of the alter there were a few words that had been written with yellow gold: "To My Immortal Beloved".

Be who you are, and say what you feel... The half demon's green eyes widened in delight. "It's so... pretty!" she commented, a sigh in her words. She gazed around the room, taking it all in slowly. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"Ain't it?" Higis smiled, a leg on the trunk of the tree and an arm on a branch while the other two appendages were hanging loosely from his body. The boy looked very similar to a monkey, hanging on that tree.
Ran merely stayed back a bit, watching the scenery through serene eyes. "Yes... that's why we speculate that this area may have once been a temple. Because of the danger to get here though, many have stopped coming here."

It was a shame, she supposed, since people wouldn't be able to see it, but it was good that people wouldn't be able to ruin the beautiful place. "Those gems are stuck in there really good!" Higis pointed out, his finger directed at the precious jewels in the alter, "I know~ I've tried!"
"Didn't Basa get mad at you for that?"
"Yeah, but he won't get mad at Mickey, right?"
"That's sly... But why do you even want those things?"
"Idunno..."

Even though he'd said Basa wouldn't get mad at her--though she thought he'd have no trouble doing so--she didn't want to get in trouble. ... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"You don't have to..." Higis spoke before adding extremely quietly, "But that just means yer chicken..."
Ran didn't seem to catch the words that the boy had spoke, being near the mouth of the area with Shorn not too far. He did, however, manage to see the boy's lips move.
