Nailah stood up slowly. She stretched and yawned. Her neck hurt terribly but she had been sleeping for a very long time. And in an uncomfortable position too. She winced as her neck muscles began to throb. She laid her hand on her neck and sighed with pleasure. Magic was such a good thing to have. Shaking her head she picked up the book that had fallen on the floor and placed it back on the table beside her bed.

Nailah groaned as the feelings swamped her mind. She felt rage, fear, and an uncontrollable hurt. Everything massed into one giant ball and she was on her knees before she knew it. She thought of Khenu and once again felt the fear. But the fear was coming from another source as well. This one was different. It was evil. More than Darius. She couldn't place it and it worried her. She thought of Khenu and wondered if he was reacting the same way she was. She really needed to try and train him. Even though Saradin hadn't finished her own training yet, she would still have to try. She couldnt' let the little boy...no. She had promised herself never again would she sit back and watch anything like that happen. NEVER! She had learned to control hers...to some extent anyway. She could help him as well. And I will. No matter how long it takes or how painful it becomes. I will help him. But right now it hurt too much. She moaned in pain and closed her eyes. Her head was killing her. Too many emotions. Too many different feelings. It was overloading her senses. She tore at her clothes in anger. Then she wept in fear. She began to shake and finally she passed out.
Rasui heard Nailah's scream of pain and stopped in the middle of the bath she was giving to one of her kittens. Kepi had gone looking for Bolt so she couldnt' send him to see what was wrong. She quickly gave the remaining kittens a warning not to leave and bounded out to see her mistress collapse onto the floor. She hurried over and began to lick her face trying to wake her up. When Nailah didn't move, she sent up one pitiful meow and rubbed her silky head against Niah's still hand. It was no use. Nailah wasn't moving. Rasui didn't know what to do. She couldnt' leave her babies. Kepi would be back soon. He would know what to do. She hurried back to her hiding place and continued administering the children's baths. Hurry Kepi. Hurry.
((well it's late and no one's on so i'm off to bed. night...))

"Alright little Key Key." She loved using the nickname she was so fond of. She stood silently and walked away, turning once to see Bolt curl up under one of his arms and got back to sleep himself. He certainly was attached to Khenu all of a sudden.
She turned again and continued walking with a different dark tune presenting itself in her head. She hummed it almost too sweetly as she approached her vault door, unlocked it, and swung it open. The sound awoke the occupant of the unowned vault and sent him into a wild thrashing. "Hello to you too." Visions of torture dancing in her head, she raced inside her vault to see what devices she could find to play with.
((Obviously I came back too late, oh well. I should be back on tomorrow.))

Munalisk dragged something that appeared to be a windchime. Even though he was in his gaurdian form, he was having an extremely hard time moving the object that was one twentieth of his size. "Vik, what the hell are these bells made of." he said, exausted, "They weigh a ton!" "I think its called Galmanite. It was deemed most useless metal. One square inch weighs over 200 pounds. It was simply to heavy to be used for anything." "Than what are we doing with it? I thought we were looking for that portal to hell." "We are. You see, an alchemist once forced a peice of galmanite into the pendulum of a bell and found that only a high amount of demonic aura could move it. So, he made a bunch of other pendulums of different sizes and put them in bells too. So when we come close to the portal to hell, athe bells should ring. The more bells ring, the more demonic aura there is around us." "I could care less how it works." he said changing back into his normal form and flopping down on the floor. "I've been dragging that thing around all day. I need a rest." "Your right." Vik flooped down next to him. "That thing didn't even go off yet. There probably isn't a portal to hell or it is so small it would pose no real therat." Suddenly, Vik a chill went down Vik's spine. He could feel the darkness in his scar starting to move around exitedly. "What was that?" Vik said, looked around cautiously. "Look!" Munalisk pointed at the Galmanite bells. Two of the smaller ones were ringing. "We must be close to it." "Believe me, your closer than you think!" Out of nowhere, a huge hand made of shadows rose out of the ground and grabbed Vik around the ankles. "What the..." He tried to pull himself out of the hand's icy grip but at that time, he was already waist deep in the pool of shadows. "Vik!" Munalisk dashed forward and grabbed Vik's wrist. He quickly morphed into his Gaurdian form and tried to pull him back out. But the hand gave one great tug and Vik slipped through Munalisk's hands and disappeared with the shadows. "NOOOO!" Enraged, Munalisk started punching a hole in the floor. He went about 3 feet before he realized that he wasn't there. Vik was gone. "Damn it!" Munalisk morphed back into his normal and sat there, crying.
((Yeah, I'm just gonna wait here until someone comes by. It's my last chance to rp for a while...))

Khai gave up his pounding on the vault door. Half of him seethed with rage the other was scared as a child. Apparently taking on Aurahkah with all these people was about was going to be difficult. They didn't need to get involved in the first place. This was between him and her. Him hurting the boy, yes that was foolish of him and it did worthy actions of the others. But he would be damned if he made that mistake again. All he had to do now was get out of this stone hell hole. Of course with that feline oddity out there that time wasn't now. Impending doom was making him nervous. To be tortured only to be healed and tortured again. But he would get his chance, oh he would get it.
Aura pulled the covers of her bed up around the tiny wolf, intentions for his comfort as he recovered. Apparently he had been hurt worse than she thought. But why hadn't she felt it herself? Perhaps she was too far away...she'd have to investigate it later.
"Don't do anything you're going to regret Aurahkah. Even to Khai. You'll change for the worse if you go back to killing."
"Shh, just rest. I never said that I would be killing him."
"You think it, I can read your thoughts remember?"
"Thinking and doing are two different things. Now put up a block so my busy thoughts don't bother you."
"Only if you Promise me."
"I promise I won't kill him. Now rest." Giving Eclipse a pat on the head she left her room, making sure to lock the door so he wouldn't be bothered too much. Feeling the mental block go up between herself and her bond mate Aura reached back, withdrawing one of her sais from it's resting place. "I never promised he wouldn't be killed...just not by my hands."
He paced the floor. Plotting almost what would happen. He knew all about Aurahkah. Hell he could take care of her himself. Her talk of vampires and others with powers didn't frighten him at all. With his luck he hadn't met everyone here she was hiding. He could still play the nice act and get out easily. Then all he had to do was find Aurahkah, rip that bracelet from her wrist and wonderful, she'd be dead. Or better yet his could strangle the life out her nice and slow like. That would show her. But right now his problem was the hybrid beyond his own stone prison.

((Screw this. I've got stuff to do)) Munalisk sat there in the hole for 10 minutes before coming to his senses. Vik was gone and crying wouldn't bring him back. And he knew perfecty well who kidnapped him. Theyd did it. Thw ones with the dark scars. Slowly and unsteadily, Munalisk got up, wiped away his tears, and climbed out of the hole. "I guess i should leave a note. They'd probably be wondering where we went." He flew out and came back with a paper and pen. In very sloppy handwirting he wrote,
I don't have much time to talk. Vik's been kidnapped by the same people who gave him his cursed scar. The reason, I'm not sure. But I've got to get him back. We'll be back as soon. Please keep his stuff safe until we return. And I'm sorry about the hole I made in your hallway. See ya later. -Munalisk
When he finished writing, he looked around for a place where it could be found. He finally decided to stick it to the refridgerator and grab some food for his journey while he was there. He tossed the food along with some water into a sack and slung it on his back. "Aldramech." he called out. The golden dragon appeared in front of him. "Vik's missing. Can you magnify our spirit bond and lead me to him?" Aldramech sniffed the air and nodded. Without a word, he flew off in the direction of the sun. Munalisk took one last look at the manor before flying after him.
((Well, guess that's it then. Later!))

Cole wandered into the smoky tavern and stood in the doorway. He looked around at the occupants and sighed. Oh well, one could not choose where one recieved his information. He had heard a rumor about a strange manor in this area and he intended to check it out. But first he needed to feel out the small town.
He made his way to a table in the back and ordered a tankard of ale. Sipping his drink he listened to the conversations going on around him. They were a shady lot, dirty, haggard. Peasants. His noble blood screamed at him to leave the filthy place. But he could not. He needed answers.
He casually motioned to one man sitting by himself. He tapped the table and looked at the man who picked up his own tankard and shuffled over to sit in front of Cole. "Evening," Cole said companionably. "Evening. What can I be a'doing for you?" "Actually I had heard about a strange manor in this area. I was wondering if you knew anything about it." The man sipped his ale and looked at Cole. "Well now...I find myself a mite bit thirsty. I just can't think when my throat feels so dry like now." Cole sighed. Peasants he thought to himself. The world should be rid of the despicable things. Cole motioned to the bar wench who came over shaking her ample bosoms in his face. He rolled his eyes and said, "Another drink for my friend, here if you will?" The bar wench smiled revealing surprisingly straight, white teeth. "For you honey, anythin'. You havin' ale?" The man nodded and said, "Now what you want to know about that evil place for anyhow?" Cole raised an eyebrow. So it did exist. Interesting. Cole said nothing, simply listening as the drunkard stared at him. "My reasons are my own concern. Now what do you know?" The man was interrupted when the wench brought his ale and Cole bit back his irritation while the drunkard drank. Soon he was so inebriated, he began to speak in a low gravelly voice. "Now you didn't hear none of this from me, mind ya. But tales be of a woman. An evil one she is at that. Never ages. Gorgeous. THey say she lures men up with her beauty and then eats them. She uses their blood in her spells an' gives thar insides and bones t' her wolf. Nasty creature. THey say he's as tall as a man and has claws that could rip a man ta shreds in an insant." The drunkard paused and leaned forward as though he was sharing some kind of a secret. "Stories say that her wolf was a gift from the devil an' seh was the devil's own at one time. That wolf...he 'as the wings of a demon, I hear. And he's blue. Now what kind of wolf, normal like, has blue fer? They also say that she steals the babes of the village and uses them once a year in sacrifices and things. She's evil, sir. Ya don't want t' be messing with her. Don't go up there, I tell ya. She'll kill ya. Feed her wolf with yer bones, she will. Evil." The drunkard puctuated this statement by tapping his tankard on the table and spilling it on the scratched, wooden surface.
Cole sighed. He had found out what he needed to know. Thanking the drunk he plopped a few coins on the table and walked out in the rainy night. Now all he had to do was find this manor and see this 'evil' woman.

Bastet played around in her vault, looking for a spare set of sais she had brought in a while ago. They were not as good as her favorite pair, but she would need some sort of replacement. Shuffling around in her vault, among her valuables, she could not find them. She mumbled, "Guess one and my sword will do for now." Resting one paw on her sword, which she had just retrieved, she inspected her claws to make sure they were nice and sharp.
As she exited her vault and locked it, she moved to the front of the vault door with the prisoner in it, and listened for a moment to his troubled pacings. She raised a paw and scratched harshly against the vault door, "That will be my claws against you soon. Believe me when I say, I had no problem with you before you touched Khenu. No more problem than a mild suspicion anyway. What is you problem with Aura? Do not think you can lie to me to soften me up either, I am already in the harming mood and will check anything you say with her." She plopped down outside the door and awaited an answer.

"Vile cat creature. My business with Aurahkah is my own. I will tell you nothing." Khai gave a pound to the door in protest. "Torture me all you like. I know her. I know the plans. She doesn't have the guts to kill me or to order any of you to either." He spat at the floor and once again paced the darkness of his holding place. "Better hurry in your torturing of me though...no telling if the air in here will ruin out and I'll suffocate first.
Aura laughed from behind Bastet her eyes gleaming and almost sinister azure in the dim light. Between her hands was her favored sai, her fingers simply playing with its cruelly sharp points. "Did you hear that Bastet? He's encouraging us..."

Bastet looked over her shoulder to see Aura standing there. "Though I need no encouragement, it always makes things more fun. Obviously he is not aware of either of our pasts involving dead people." She flashed Aura a grin exposing cat fangs, stood up and turned to the vault door, "Hear that Khai? We have no qualms about killing you, obviously, you do not know Aura or her friends very well." She then stood and took a few steps back, "I am just again indulging in my ever present curiosity, but what is the deal with you and him anyway?"

"If I were to tell you the full story we would be here half the night. Long story short, at a time when I visited the at poor excuse for a town, I found myself in a...situation. Well there was an uproar and a great deal of the word 'witch'' being slung about and I believe Eclipse was...what was he again Khai?"
"Demon dog from Hell..."
Aura clapped her hands. "Yes, demon dog from Hell. Anyway unfortunately I found myself unable to get out of said situation. Khai helped me out, effectively saving my life in a manner of sorts. And a debt was created. After these years I've paid back my debt, but now through Eclipse's misfortune he seeks another. All for his own greed.

"I never should of left that little spit excuse for a town," Cole muttered to himself. It was probably just a wive's tale anyway. What kind of normal human would live in a place like this? It was in the middle of nowhere. He glared at the forest he had finally found his way out of and readjusted Peace Giver at his side. The cherished Dartton sword had served him well in the past and he had great faith it would again.
He stumbled his way up the path and finally saw the ominous shape of a large building in the distance. It could not be. He wandered up the path a little further and stopped in disbelief. He could see the manor very clearly now. It sat rather majestically upon the clearing and almost sneered at the town lost in the fog somewhere beyond the forest. Looking at the place now, he could almost believe the drunk's stories. It did seem to be a place of sacrifices and such. A place where once one entered, one never left.
Cole cursed as he stumbled on something in his path. He drew closer to the building and encountered thick iron wrought gates. He stared at them for a moment, thinking they would be locked. He started to look around for something he could use to open them. Finding nothing he began to curse once again. He wandered down the path a ways to try and see if he could find a tree stump or such to slam into the gates. Something to force them to bend and admit him. Cursing once again when his search proved futile he slammed his hands against the gates.
The gates swung open and he fell on his face in the mud. "Perfect, just perfect." Cole stood up and wiped his muddy face on a white handkerchief he pulled from his pocket. Looking in disgust at the soiled garment he tossed it aside and continued up the path. He stopped at the door and studied the shape engraved on the cool stone. He reached a hand out and felt the engraving. Squinting at it, he could just make out the shape of a large bird, wings spread. It looked like a...pheonix. The symbol of rebirth.
"Interesting," Cole said. "For one so much evil seems to be said about, she has a rather innocent symbol. Perhaps part of the facade."
Narrowing his eyes he drew Peace Giver and pressed the heavy stone door. Stepping into the foyer, the door shut behind him from the weight. He stood there, sword poised, ready, in case the evil woman had seen him coming and prepared an ambush.

Bastet smiled, "Oh, and it is this such creature that is calling me vile? Tsk tsk. I have never let greed lead my way, in fact I have killed those seduced by greed. Hm, so what was the mortals prupose for coming here?" She leaned an arm on Aura's shoulder in a friendly manner, "And he hurt two of my friends, lightning rod and Clipsy? I am becoming more overtaken by darkness and loathing, shall we sate the evil inside us with torture? That is what you had in mind is it not?" Well aware of her evil demeanor, she relished in this feeling she thought she would never experience again.

Khenu sat up again with a groan. The rag on his face was dry the cold water warm and his face felt like fire again. The burns on his cheeks stood out brightly even against his tanned skin.
Carefully sliding from the chair he picked up Bolt holding the cat in his arms as he did the day before whilst protecting him. With a turn he intended to B-line for the kitchen to find something cold to relieve his pain.
But a glint of light caught his eyes and he turned his head with that squeak of fear he often made as it welled up inside of him. First Khai now another with a weapon drawn.
He took a few steps back and locked a look on the stranger and plucked up his courage as best that he could. "C-Can I hel-p you?"

"Hm...glady my friend. Now problem being how to open the door without having the little idiot bolt for an escape. Good blast of magic could always fix that but it's so tiresome to go through all of that." She looked to Bastet with a smile. "You're agile. How about we just open it and you can pounce him and tear him up just enough so that he can't flee like a little girl."
Inside the vault Khai's eyes widened slightly. He was far underestimating them apparently. Very Far. He hadn't though Aurahkah to have the stomach for it, apparently she had changed in the past years. He swallowed and fisted his hands. "Bring me your worst." His logic, if they hurt him enough and healed him slightly, then they would leave him alone for a good long while. Then he could get out.
