Jon-OH
but we're a clandestine paramilitary organization that doesn't techinically exist, manned by people who don't officialy exist, conducting opperations that aren't officially happening against targets that don't officially exist... who's going to bring legalistic upheaval?

*confused*

Yeah, I've been meaning to ask about that, too...

I can understand how this can be confusing...

Although I am formally schooled in Human/Non-Human Entity Legal Mitigation, I have handled many cases where both parties were human, or both parties were non-human. There are a ton of cases that the MSU [Herewith shall be spoke Organization] may find it's self involved in, and though many times the Organization may wish to resort to 'Cowboy diplomacy' that is not always the best course of action.

As an example I site the now opened files from the Greater Bezaetue V. The Deamon Smiting Group of France [Herewith shall be spoke DSGF].

The DSGF was, surprisingly, one of the most efficient anti-demonic organizations ever to operate. (It seams that though the French are terrible at defending their soil from terrestrial invaders, they are quite adept at repelling Ethereal forces). Through a lack of foresight and a few gung-ho operatives, a number of Greater Bezaetue were slaughtered. Though the DSGF stood fast to the fact that they had killed Deamons, which was their express right due to their charter and contract with Other-worldy legislation, they were in fact found in breach of 'Permitable Action'.

I am aware that your response may be "So..." For that was the response of the DSGF.

The DSGF chose to ignore summons' and the fines that had accrued. Well a Disposal team was sent in, Gated directly from the five Lower Rings...

Though this Organization is very powerful, I have a hard time bereaving even this place could withstand such a force, but that is not the subject here...

The DSGF, one of the most powerful Shadow Organizations ever was wiped out, all traces of their existence eradicated.

The court reporters tapes have, like i said, just recently been opened and made available, and in reviewing them, i found a statement by Gribbhalt Thewark The Flesh Gnasher (A representative of the plaintiff) that, in the context of the case, would have avoided all of the unpleasantries for a paltry fine of 128 Franks and a written apology of at least 75 words...

Not a bad trade if you ask me.

So in short, I hope that clears up the matter as to why The Organization would need legal council... Just In Case...

While the bureaucracy of the afterlife is a terribly convuluted mess made out of more mess that takes ages to navigate through no entity with access to this plane of existance could wipe out the upper members, as they originated from the greatwarrior of the eternal ruler.
While I suppose that dealing with such matters your way would greatly increase the time we lower members spend "not being wiped from existance," the likes of Astral and Thad could go up against nearly anything even ages ago when they were weak compared to their present selves.

I feel a burning desire to play the new Prince of Persia game.

The Prince combines many of the traits that make up... uhm... me, which is just swell. Killing monsters, running across walls, and manipulating the fabric of time makes for great fun, whether these actions be real or simulated.

I'm interested to see how he deals with being hunted down relentlessly by the forces of Fate for refusing to obey the constraints of time itself.

Such forces can be a total b***h sometimes. Apparently, I've reached the point where I'm thought of as some sort of living temporal disturbance. I mean, just hanging around me will get you under survailance by those who seek to enforce time continuity.

They give Jared a pretty hard time, too. Always leaving parking tickets on the DeLorean... usually several at a time.

88 in a 75, indeed!

Bastards...

Golly, Man-Reika... you're gonna make me blush if you keep talking like that.

You're right, of course.
Worry not, though. Anybody killed during some sort of perverse, demonic "legal action" will be promptly avenged and, I dunno... maybe raised from the dead or something... I haven't really checked our item stores recently. I'm sure we have something that would do.

Or... we could rebuild you! eek
We have the technology! blaugh

This year's Ophiuchus dates and times for Missouri are 11-29 3AM to 12-17 12PM.

Meaning my daughter has a high probablitlity of arriving durring the Ophiuchus period, thus making her a candidate for a Control position in the Ophiuchus Agency, who fights the Agents of Fate. biggrin

w00t w00t!

It's what every father hopes for.
