Garrat wasn't sure if he could believe such a thing. "How can that be? For starters, I don't see any resemblance," he said. Not even in behavior. "Even if he was a wolf, what's the point? I can't imagine anyone or anything benefiting from turning the crown prince into a creature." He mounted his own horse. "If you'd like, we can try to find out tomorrow. It's not safe here, especially in this darkness."

"But the-...." he was going to state that he was certain the wolf was Joseph. It responded to him when he called. The creature even took Joseph's ring. But before he could point out anything, the wolf was gone.
Sighing, Nathaniel turned to mount his horse and make it trot down the trail."Maybe you're right... " he muttered. "maybe someone is trying to keep Joseph quiet..? But then ... what was ..-?" he was going to ask if Garrat too, saw the monster out here, only to get a disturbingly eerie feeling that someone, or something was behind him. Her silhouette was there quite a distance away, but her presence was still nerve wracking and scary! Nathan made his horse run faster to stay beside his knight... "Garrat..... I'm scared..." he whispered, looking at the soldier. He didn't mean right at this very moment, but overall. Something was happening to his family that could very well happen to anyone in the kingdom.

Garrat reached for Nathaniel's hand and held it tightly to comfort him. "Did you see anything before I arrived?" he asked, though it was probably obvious, judging from the prince's scream from earlier. "I saw something on the way here. I don't know what it was. Couldn't get a good enough look." He wondered if maybe Nathaniel had seen the creature. If they could talk about it together, maybe it could disperse the prince's fear.

Nathan slumped his shoulders and sighed, tightly gripping the knight's hand. "I.. I remember... seeing.. Manureva.." he said it like a revelation. "But ..it.. it wasn't her... like... she was possessed or something... I'm worried, though. What if.. What if, Manureva left on purpose? and She's doing this to herself.. " he murmured quietly. " the rumors of her going to Black Market seem so true now... " .

Well, that might explain the familiarity. "You saw yet did not see Manuerva?" Seems they could only find answers at the market. "We should go to the Black Market to investigate. I wonder if whatever happened to her is related to whatever has happened to Joseph. Strange things are happening, indeed."

Garrat made sense and Nathaniel nodded as they continued down the path. When they finally reached the castle's bridge, Nathaniel spoke again. "... I'm sorry about how reckless I am... I guess I try to act brave just to know what it feels like... Its more exciting seeing the land we live in, from high up.. or looking up at the full moon in nature.." he smiled a little as their horses walked side by side...
"I'm glad you're my knight.. and my best friend. I guess training gave you a lot of patience, hehehe~" he giggled and squeezed his hand. He was happy but then his smile faded again, "Are you still going to train me?" he asked with a nervously pleading smile.

"Training did help, yes, but putting up with your antics was the catalyst," Garrat said. "Considering your frightening lack of discipline, training is a must, don't you suppose?" He grinned at the prince to help lighten the mood.

Nathan pouted jokingly and mumbled, "I'm not that bad...". But soon, with an excited smile, he nearly fell off of his horse hugging his best friend. "I'm so happy, oh! Can we start tomorrow? Can we?" He whispered loudly as they approached the stable grounds, a slight hue or magenta hushed on the horizon.

Garrat yawned. Apparently, they had been up all night. By now, he was used to this, but it seems years of fatigue was catching up to him. "Tomorrow dawn. Today, I might have another assignment," he said as he leaned onto his horse's neck to sneak a few moments of nap.

TenTenPrincess23 As the two approached the stables, Nathan couldn't help but to hold on to Garrat, in case he might fall off. "Hehe.. alright then. But maybe we should sleep now.." he quietly chuckled as the knight doze off to sleep on the back of his horse. But before he could really enjoy the cute moment, a figure off in the dark distance shook him. The figure was none other than Nana, damn ol' woman! If she found the both of them out at this hour, she would go and tell his mother for sure! Panicking, he hopped off his horse and quickly pulled both steeds into the dimly lit stables. Quickly putting the horses away and blowing out the light in the room, he purposely began tugging at Garrat to hide with him in the largest pile of hay in the quarters!
"Garrat! Hurry!! - what?-" he whispered frantically, begging for the knight to hide with him! Although the way he was pulling would probably make the soldier fall on top of him... not that he'd complain of course.

With no word, Garrat groggily followed Nathaniel to the hay and hid with him, not wanting to hear the nagging nanny anyways. He wouldn't mind falling asleep in the process, though. A bit of concern washed over him, however, as he wanted to be sure the prince won't break out in hives or something from the hay. "Are y'alright, Nathan'l?" he asked in a slurred and exhausted speech.

With Garrat's tired cooperation, Nathaniel successfully managed to hide both bodies behind the hay bail. Granted, at first, Nathan sneeze and was itchy, but once he grew comfortable laying on top of the knight, he felt a little better. " yeah, just go to sleep and be quiet so Nana won't find us!..~" he whispered. His legs were straddled over his friend to reach up and darken their area by blowing out a lantern before the maid passed by.
So now, alls they had to do was wait until sun up... Of course Nathan would be asleep by then.

Garrat didn't have to be told twice. Within moments, he fell asleep, rather confident that the hay can hide them. Of course, his internal clock won't let him sleep very long, as he remembered he needed to report to the captain. He didn't recall reporting his return yesterday, now that he thought of it.

Finally the sun rose up in the sky and the two laid together in the hay bail. The prince was in a deep sleep when a soldier walked in to the stables and pulled a horse out. In the process, the captain came over to see just how many horses remained in the stables and after his count, ordered the stable hands to feed them.
One of the boys who feed the horses took a pitch fork and walked over to the hay just as Nathan was pushing himself off of Garrat to wake up, when three sharp prongs jabbed forward, barely missing above Garrat's head and inches away from Nathaniel's nose AHH!!" he screamed and jolted back, making everyone in the stable je! "ump. The poor stable boy frowned and gasped, "Ah! Your Highness!!! Sir Garrat!? I- I - I'm so sorry!!" he cried. "Please! Forgive me...!!" he got on his knees as he pleaded. Nathan was about to quietly brush off the the whole ordeal when he sneezed and started scratching his itchy hands and neck.

Garrat jolted up when he heard Nathaniel scream, but did not draw his sword when he saw the panicked stable boy and then saw the pitchfork in the hay. It must have been feeding time for the horses. "Honest mistake, no harm done," Garrat said with a yawn, standing up and brushing off some strands of the hay. It was then that he saw the captain there. "Ah, Captain, it seems you've recovered." The knight gave him a small wave, forgetting momentarily the formal greeting.
