Kai smiled slightly and slowly stood up, wobbling slightly, "Alright...We'll...go..." He gently picked Pyrite back up and kept walking, ignoring the immense pain that shot through his body with every step he took. He licked his lips, savoring the taste of Riki for as long as he could.

"Thank you." Riki whispered. He put his arm around Kai to try and help him, taking great care to be gentle around his wounds. "Oh, and Kai... before I forget. I'm sorry I said I hated you. I don't, I was just angry. I love you." He turned his head and kissed Kai's shoulder, shifting a bit so he could support him better.

Kai smiled and nodded at Riki, "I love you, too..." He would've tackled the boy right then and there and kiss him senseless...but he had Pyrite in his arms. He turned a light shade of red when he thought about what he would do to the boy after they got out. He looked straight ahead, his pace quickening so he could find medical help for Pyrite...then maybe for himself.
((hmm...I wonder what he's thinking about xd ))

Content with his reply, Riki sped up a bit to match Kai's pace and smiled. Maybe there was hope after all. There was a large door up ahead, and Riki gently pulled away from Kai so he could open it. But instead of the outside like he expected, there was another dark hallways. "Do... do we go in?" he asked, unsure.

Kai sighed slightly at the contents of the door, "I...guess so...We can't just wait here and do nothing..." He smiled slightly and entered the dark hallway, walking down that one also. He sighed slightly again, "What is it with spider demons and hallways...Do they have a fetish for them or something?..."

Riki nodded and moved back to Kai, putting his arm around him again. He helped him down the hall, nervous about being attacked again. He laughed softly at Kai's joke, and just kissed his cheek quickly in reply.

Kai smiled and kept walking, leaning against Riki slightly for support and just to be close to the boy. Soon, another door was in front of them and this time, there was a dim light coming out beneath the door, "Riki...I...think this might be the way out..." He had a sliver of a doubt in the back of his mind that it would just be a lit hallway.

Riki took a deep breath and reached for door handle, hoping, praying. With one last look at Kai he opened it and a bright light flooded into the hall. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust, but he saw sky, and buildings. This was it, they had escaped the prison. Now they just had to make it through the town undetected.

Kai smiled widely when he saw the sun again, "Finally..." He suddenly felt exhausted and fell back against the stone wall. He was still holding onto Pyrite, their blood mixing and running down Kai's frontside. He slid down the wall, the bricks scraping at his wounds, "I'm...done for today..." He set Pyrite down next to him gently and sat there silently, eyes slowly closing and opening. The blood loss was taking its effects on him now.

Riki kneeled in front of the two others and ripped off part of the leg of his pants. Being as gentle as he could, he wiped the blood off of Pyrite and Kai, cleaning them as best as possible. When he was satisfied, he ripped off part of the other leg and tore it into strips to wrap around the worst of their wounds. "We're out." he whispered, not stopping in his work. "We're so close to being free, my love."

Kai slowly nodded, "Yeah...Finally...We are almost free..." He slowly, and weakly, stood up again. He picked up Pyrite, he felt even heavier now and he started walking, not wanting to stay in one spot for too long. He closed one eye from the pain but he kept walking anyway. He saw a dark alley that looked like it hadn't been used for a couple of weeks so he wobbled that way, holding Pyrite close to him.

Riki bit his lip and frowned when he saw Kai's back. "Love, I need to find something to clean your wounds." he said softly. Seeing where he was headed, Riki cleared a spot of trash in the alley behind a dumpster, so they could hide from view of the street. Then he kissed Kai's cheek and ran down the alley to look for a cloth of some sort.

Kai slowly shook his head, "No...I'm fine...Find things to help Pyrite..." He sat down behind the dumpster. His back was resting against the cool metal, soothing some of the pain. He kept holding Pyrite close to his chest, the blood flow from his wounds had slowed dramatically. Now it was a mere trickle. Kai's vision started to blur slightly and he blinked quickly, causing his vision problems to recede temporarily.

Riki nodded at Kai. Then he searched the street for anything.. a rag, cloth, anything. Finally he found an old shirt and he snatched it up, smiling at his luck. He ran back to the two wounded ones and ripped pieces off the shirt, cleaning and dressing Pyrite's wounds as best he could with the makeshift bandages.

Kai smiled as he watched Riki help Pyrite, "Good..." He closed his eyes slowly and said quietly, "I'm...going to take a little nap...Good night, Riki..." He layed his head back against the dumpster, one of the wounds on his face opening again and causing a crimson stream run down his neck and disappear into his shirt. He just didn't care now...he had saved both Riki and Pyrite...So he was happy with himself...
((I better go 3nodding it's late...and...i'm tired...and...it's late...and...i'm tired ^_^ sorry! and g'night, Apollo!!!))
