"Oh, what? Have you recognized his pain from electricity to something else?" She smiled, "So, Eclipse is alright now though, correct? He is just resting?"
Bolt perked up as he heard the noise and the ow's and he went to investigate. Seeing Khenu, he walked up to him and was getting very near the electric puddle....

"He's the only one in the manor who can be in slight pain and be cute sounding at the same time. Also being around this blood line for the last several hundred years there were a few accidents with electricity. That zapping sound is easy to recognize." She brushed a piece of hair back. "He's fine. He's asleep on a couch in the great hall in his little form under some pillows last time I checked."

Seeing then kitten Khenu stepped from the puddle said puddle giving one last blue bolt of electricity off as it died no longer having a feeding source. "I gotta squeeze the water from my jeans before I come back in...gotta remember to do that."
He dropped the towel on the floor and dropped to his knees on the towel to avoid making another perhaps dangerous puddle. He reached a dry hand out to the kitten. "Hey Bolt!"

"Aw under a lot of pillows? I wonder can I relieve his pain with some alcohol?" She smiled slyly, "I am sorry I have had alcohol on the brain lately. And he is not the only one that can say ow cutely, he is probably just the best at it."
Bolt shrunk back at the buzz from the water, then walked shyly up to Khenu. He rubbed up against his legs, successfully leaving a white white hairs behind.

"You and alcohol. Then again you are Egyptian, alcohol is our friend most of the time." Aura paused for a moment then laughed. "He's ten...I think he'll win all the awards in the cute department whether he means to or not."

Khenu picked up the kitten. "You don't want to do that buddy. My jeans are wet and you don't want to be wet too do you? Last time I heard cats hate water...well Bastet doesn't but you know she's not all cat.
He plucked the two twined feathers from his hair and holding Bolt in one arm he swayed them in front of the kitten. "

Bolt's eyes went slightly wild again as he saw the feathers. He leaned up in Khenu's arms and batted at them. Climbing onto Khenu's shoulder, he batted at them until he was very close to falling off.
"Actually, those cats could beat him, and do not argue that that competition is human only when I am not all human. Each of those cats has a personality of their own." She took what was left of her drink and made one of her specialties and drank some of that instead.

"Whoa there buddy." He picked the cat from his shoulder and set it on the floor. "Hold on one sec." He patted the kitten's head smiled and then disappeared in a phase.
He reappeared in front of the kitten minutes later scooping him up off the floor and petting him between his ears and under his chin. "There now I'm all dry and you can play all you want."

"You could be right about that. Maybe it's just the weakness of cats or just that they're way too cute for their own good."
The doors of the manor pushed silently open and in walked a tall man, very drenched from the rain. He scoffed as he closed the doors behind himself. "Now how did I know she would forget to re-lock them." Shaking his head he stood for a moment at the entrance to the great hall, staring at a boy and apparently his pet kitten. "There is someone else here? Who is that boy, a runaway? Her son? Whatever the answer, I know her little secret now...oh how I love blackmail."

Bolt nuzzled his hand and purred louder, still eyeing the feathers. He made a shrill noise and perked his ears up as he heard the front door open. Turning he saw a man he did not know, and shrunk down into Khenu's arms.
"I make a point to try and win all battles, so muaha." She perked her own ears up, "I wonder who that was."

"Huh?" Petting Bolt reassuringly he looked yo what had the kitten spooked. There stood a man who was obviously drenched. But he was just standing there not saying a word. Khenu clutched the kitten closer to his chest. "Um hello?"

"And most of those battles you do win my friend." Aura gave a slight chuckle and then noticed the movement in Bastet's ears. "Hear something?"
He smiled at the boy. Best thing to do was play nice, get close then use everything against that wretched Aurahkah. "Hello there my young friend. Cute little critter you have there. What's his name?" He took a few steps towards him and actually patted the small kitten's head.

Blaine stood up from the dead body, whiping blood away from his mouth as it was drizzling down his face. His fangs disappeared into his mouth, as he smirked down at the elf body. Usually he didn't hunt elves since they travelled in packs, but this one had been exiled (he had watched it happen) for whatever reason. The second it was far enough away from the villiage so they wouldn't hear his screams, Blaine pounced. The poor fool never even saw him coming.
"Ahhh... that's much better. Immortal blood tastes SOOOOOOO much better then human's..."
Cracking his knuckles, he raised his right arm in the air. The body exploded into black flame and disappeared into the ground, leaving behind no trace at all that it was ever there. Turning towards the direction of Aura's mansion, he spread his dark vampiric wings and shot into the air, flying rapidly towards the inn-like house.
He knew full well that Aura had blood in the fridges. He didn't even have to hunt, he could just wrip open a package and drink his fill. But that defeated the purpose! Half the fun in feeding time, was the hunt. Without that, it seemed pointless. Therefore, drinking blood from a cascet just didn't seem right...
Landing infront of the house, he arched his back as his leathery black wings flapped twice before folding into his shoulders. Opening the door, he began his random walk of the grounds. Almost immediately, he encountered Khenu and the kitten. Narrowing his eyes at the man infront of him, Blaine drummed his fingers on the wall impatiently having heard everything.
"Black mail? Man, there are so many cowards around this place..."
Chuckling, he cracked his knuckles, and stretched his arms high over his head.
"I really didn't feel like getting into a fight tonight... I just wanted to get a bite to eat and relax. Oh well, so much for that idea."
Sighing in mock sorrow, his right hand disappeared into his sleeve and the rest of the trench coat, as he spoke. He had noticed how the man was now being nice to the kid, and knew where this was going...
"Going after the boy? Rather low, even for someone like you isn't it? What's the matter, can't take on Aura - or whomever it is you're after - directly? Figures..."
Taking another step towards him, he suddenly remembered what happened last time he tried to get into a fight on her grounds. There was a good reason this time, but still... no point in risking it. Glancing towards the kitchen, he knew he could sense Aura coming from that direction. Nodding, he looked back at the man.
"Don't try anything stupid while I'm gone. If you think I won't notice, believe me - I will. You can run now if you want, but that's about it. Touch the kid, and it'll be the last movement you make - I guarentee it."
Jogging to the kitchen, he opened the door and smiled at Aura. Speaking in a sing song voice, he nodded towards the man.
"Oh Aurrrrrrrr-raaaaaaaaaaaa... you have a guest."

Bastet perked up her ears higher and turned to see Blaine standing in the doorway. "So That was the front door after all." She looked at him curiously, "Any particular reason you are notifying her? Do not tell me it is an unwelcome guest." She looked at Aura as if wondering whether this had anything to do with what she was talking about earlier. Curiosity overtaking her, she stepped past Blaine to watch the guest who was standing close to Khenu. Her hands came to rest on her sai.
Bolt shrunk a little at the man's touch, then took to sniffing him. He looked up to Khenu and meowed shrinking more into his arms.

Khenu jerked away kitten in his arms. At least Blaine had stepped in. Khenu wasn't too good with strangers. "Yes. I think Blaine is right. You need to see Aura." He clutched the kitten again and then turned and walked over to stand by Bastet.
