"You vampires and demon portals. It's like a sport to you." She rolled her eyes shaking he head slightly. "Eclipse forced me into shadow walking again despite the fit I threw about it and that creature, Vincent, is also the reason of why I am all wet. I sent that wolf to repay a debt that I still had on me in that little excuse for a town. He doesn't come back when expected so I have to go get him. And you know how it rains. I got back not too long ago and I'm still drying."

Aura laughed as she stood also taking purposeful strides to and then past Vincent into the kitchen. "So sure of yourself are you...and his name is Blaine. Didn't make the best first impression with me. Caught him going after Darius, the thief boy I mentioned. Scary thing was he knew my name, and knows about a lot of my being a thief, which was a long time ago, and as you and I both know...that's not very common knowledge. But he's different from the kind of vampire you are. He expects that I won't touch blood, you know very well that I will. He has a thing about thieves stealing from children or the looks of such an action. You'd join in on the fun. But maybe that's just me knowing you all too well." She made her way to the fridge and opened it pulling out one of the containers of blood from the back and setting it on the nearby oak table. "Here. I don't understand how you drink that stuff cold." Aura then made her way to the cabinet grabbing out two glasses, one of which she set on the table next to the container, the other staying in her hand where she took it over to the bar and poured herself a glass of wine and then perched herself on the edge of the counter taking a sip from the glass.

"Well traditionally the sinking of ones teeth into ones flesh does hurt, of course people think that and it bothers them. I personally tempt the bite of a knife more so to that of teeth. But then again how am I supposed to know." Aura downed her drink and the hit the glass on the side of the counter, breaking it. Using one of it's shards she slit the tip of her finger, watching the blood. "Sharp edges never hurt." Aura slid off the counter and casually strolled over to him, lifting the finger to his mouth and pressing it to his lips, leaving a smear of blood there when she pulled her finger away, sticking it in her own mouth to stop its blood flow for a minute or two. "Yes, only you know that I have vampyric tendencies, yet am not truly a vampire." She gave him a gentle smile. "I'm going to go change out of these wet clothes." With another smile Aura walked past him out of the kitchen for her room.

((right. gotta sleep for my job interview in the morning. Night.))

Aura stood gazing into her mirror humming something in Egyptian as she brushed out her hair trying to give it back some of it's dignity. . Outside the lightning lit up the black night sky every few minutes or so. Setting down her brush she flipped her hair back over her shoulder and raised an eyebrow in confusion as she heard an odd noise. Again a clink sounded and she turned to her window to see another rock get chucked at it. Aura froze as lightening flashed again and lit up a figure that was all too recognizable. In one quick shadow walk she was at the manor's main doors, throwing the old lock that usually sat covered in dust, over the spit in the doors and securing it. She leaned her back against the door. This couldn't be happening at all. But it seemed it was as a knock sounded.

"Aurahkah. Open the door."
"I don't know how you found this place but go home."
"Oh come on Aurahkah. It's raining."
"I'm very well aware of that. Best make your way back quickly before you catch a cold."
"Don't make me do this the hard way."
"What hard way? There are no ways about this, you are leaving."
"I'll go back and tell them all where this is."
Aura unlocked the door and opened it the very slightest bit possible. "What do you want?"
"May I come in first or are you going to stand behind those doors like some guard dog?"
"No you can't come in. What do you want?"
"To talk...about our little debt."
"There is no more debt. I've repaid you enough."
"Can you put a price on life." He shook his head. "You're little Eclipse would be far worse off if it wasn't for me."
"This is about Eclipse now?"
"Have to earn a living somehow." He laughed. "I should save more lives...do more things that can be put into debt form."
Aura frowned. "Your greed has gotten to you. Go home now."
"You know I'm sure they'd love to know how to get here...I'm sure this map I did as I was coming here would be worth a lot for them to get their hands on you."
She closed the gap she had open in the door slightly, intending to cut the convresation. There was more than just her safety to account for now. "Go home."
"What are you hiding in there?"
"No one. As it's been for years now, the only ones here are myself and Eclipse."
"No one? I said what, not who." He laughed again and turned his back to her. "You give things away far too easily Aurahkah. Tell you what though. Let's strike a deal. I'll head back to my camp that I have out here and give you a day or two to think about this issue before I go back and the witch hunt begins. I'll see you then."

Aura slammed the doors shut. "How dare he...Eclipse was right. Why do I never listen!? Wait...no,no, don't let him get to you Aura." She sighed and turned from the doors making her way back to the kitchen which was now lacking one vampire. He'd probably gone off to reacquaint himself with the manor. Aura leaned against the table for a moment and raised an eye brow as her fingers touched an unfamiliar spot in the table and looked to it. "Scratches?" She laughed and walked over to the counter she had previously been sitting on and took to picking up the pieces of broken glass. No need to worry about the empty threats of a man who she could kill easily if she had to. After all, he was just Khai.

Aura looked to Bastet with a smile. "Just like a vampire aren't you? Our nights are your mornings Bastet. I'm well I guess. Happy about a few surprises, discouraged by some others." Turning to the other woman she crossed her arms. "And who's that little darling you have with you?"

"Really now, Kepi and Rasui?" She shrugged. "Should of guess it would of happened." Aura stared at Bastet for a few seconds processing her question and whether or not she wanted to answer ti truthfully. She'd go with a half truth merely for the protection of those that she had come to know as her family. "Just a little trouble Eclipse had that of course is transferred to me to take care of. He got hurt but not too badly."

Khenu came up for air making a lot of splashing noise. He dragged himself from the lake breathing heavily as he did so. He grabbed a towel and threw ti over his head drying at his hair as he walked into the manor in still wet jeans.

He stopped mid step. "Oh man...my jeans." He looked down at the floor seeing the puddle he was successfully making. "I always forget about that don't I?" He frowned and a spark of electricity went off conducting itself off the puddle and giving the boy a small shock. "Ow! Ow ow ow..."
