Markus' portal only showed him a small glimpse of the Deus X beast, before failing on him. "Damn it! He was right. It's more powerful than any of them." *That’s why my first portal must have settled on Banji! Any other casters on this world, as well as that magical beast can repel such a simple divination. Well I am in need of what ever allies I can get.*

"The abomination I was creating isn't going to be enough. I have only seen a glimpse of a being on this world called Deus X, but I don't like what I have seen. I need to set up an audience with that swordsman Banji. I need to find out what little he knows. I want you to bring him here."

"But master! What if he refuses to come or *gulp* tries to kill me."

"Don't worry about that, if he tries to kill you I'm sure he will have no problem doing so, count yourself lucky your already dead. I can always make another ghoul. Your life is your unlife is your own responsibility, just try and be diplomatic."

"Diplomatic master? Alright master I'll be diplomatic."

"Oh and one more thing. Wear this ring it's magic will disguise your appearance as a human, but will do nothing for your smell. I also suggest a bath before you go."

"Yes master, I will take a bath and wear your ring, thank you master for letting me do your bidding."

*perhaps I'm getting to soft.* "You will leave at once and head for that group of humans. Use the caves to cover more ground and bring him back that way. I don't want anyone finding my exact location or I'll have to move again and kill whoever it was that gave me away. Is all of this clear?"

"Clear like iron master!" And without another word the ghoul put on the ring and ran towards the camp.

Kyo awoke and found Rin was missing,and he felt panic rising in his chest. He got up, still clothed in his clothes fromt he previous day, and he could tell it was late. He walked out the door and looked around, and he found Rin being led gently by the arm by a palace guard, who saluted as Kyo walke from the shadows,"Sir I found the Lady Rin stumbling around I thought maybe you would want her to be found, and brought to you."Kyo nodded to the soldier, his face blank,"Thank you very much soldier, I am indebted to you. You may have the night off." the soldier saluted and walked off to the barracks. kyo took Rins arm,"Rin its me, dont worry,:Ill lead you back to the room alright?"

Kyo pulled her gently into the room and laid her softly on the bed, and climbed in next to her, and snuggeled close,"Rin your soight will come back. Youve only been resting for a few hours you cant expect that much. Look on the bright side at least you cant be controlled by anyone but yourself anymore."he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek.

Kyo felt Rin sobbing into his chest and he rubbed her back and comforted her as best he could. Eventually he pulled her closer to him and fell asleep as well. When he awoke he could see late afternoon sun pourting into the room. He got up and looked out the window and saw demonic troops training in the courtyard. His grasndfather would have been informed on his pact with Zersiol by now, and he was unsure how he would take the news. Regardless at least the Burning legion would follow Kyo into battle, as they were personally funded, rased and trained by him, and he had the utmost of faith in them. He wondered how rin was doing, and he kept staring out the window.

Kyo turned around and saw Rin was awake and he walked over tot he bed and sat down next to her, and took her hands in his,"Goodmorning RIn, How are you feeling my love?" he looked into her blank white eyes. Presently however a servant came in carrying Ryo and Kina, and Kyo accepted them with a big smile, and thanked the servant who left,"Theyve grown so big...soon theyll be walking."he cradled them both in his arms,"Would you like to hold one Rin?"

Kyo smiled slightly in spite of himself, and he put Ryo in her arms, trusting her motheres intuition to keep him safe, and that was good enough to keep him unafraid. He bounced Kina in his arms and she smiled and laughed,"Rin, do you want me to call the doctor again?"

kyo patted Rin on the forehead and put Ryo in her arms, who immediately stopped crying, happy to be bak in his mothers arms"Its ok Rin, itll be alright."he kissed her forehead. He got up still carrying Kina, and pened the door, and a doctor entered, and began to examine Rin,"hmmm...it seems absolutely nothing has changed, this is strange. Uusually the what you gave her should have worn off, but this...this si strange..."he stooped over her again, and held a light in front of Rins eyes, whihc did not move.

Kyo looked att he doctor who was still examining Rin,"I cant...concieve how this is possible, the retnas look like the are about to fire, but than they dont...its more of a mental problem than a physical one milord. There is little i can do or say except Try to keep her from beign too depressed. When she fully has accepted that she is not blind than she will see." the doctor bowed and exited. Kyo took Kina and Ryo and put them in a crib near the bed, and sat beside Rin and took herhand,"Did you hear what the doctor said Rin?"
