He yawns a bit and puts his head on his desk. "I don't have a class after this one, I think I'll head to the pool when this is over."

And then he looks up at the girl who just came in, blinks, and nods in greets.
"But it'll never be over if people keep coming into the middle of classes and have to be brought up to speed..."

She explains to the newcomer. "Kanna, that's the teacher, there, has had us put the weapons we use on her desk. If you don't have one of your own, you can pick one from the racks on the walls. Kanna seems to get pretty focused on things over there, but I think she's a great teacher. I think she's got a bit of the old absent-minded-professor syndrome going on. My name is Myles, and you are?"

"You're not the only one in the class. Some here have probably have almost no experience with any kind of fighting. It'd be stupid to move the class right into sparring when not everyone is ready for it."
