Edit: I'm sorry for the relaxed grammar in my previous post. Finals are really taking their toll on me, and having been up for about 48 hours now without any rest, my brain just isn't working the way it used to. Everyone seemed severely offended by what I said, so here is my second attempt at an introduction:
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren and I am an English Major at the University of Oregon. I'm just 10 credits shy of being considered a senior, so I am packing about 21 credit hours into my schedule each term. In any free time that I do have, I post on Gaia and tutor in German.

Lalena Hello . heart My name is Lalena, which is Hawaiian for "Lauren" ( My real name.) It is very nice to meet you all! Hopefully together, we can stop the stupidity . ><

Not quite sure if what I did to the 'm' is right; I'll need a second opinion. sweatdrop It isn't necessary, as far as I can recall, unless it is a complete sentence.

Raishin -- You were almost there with the corrections.
Since the parenthetical comment is not a complete sentence, but it resides inside of one, a period is placed outside the parentheses. The second sentence, however, requires a period. Good catch, Raishin. heart
