Raine didn't respond right away as she gathered a few things to buy. However, at the mention of Chaos and control, for some reason, Kestrel growled abruptly, causing Raine to almost drop the can she was holding. She recovered, confused. What the hell is your problem now?

"I'll probably hear about this incident." Ayaka tapped her phone, smiling slightly, and stopping her staring. Still, Ayaka was curious. And if Raine wouldn't answer some questions of hers...maybe someone else could.
"Hoshi-san, you haven't been on campus long, right?" Ayaka asked suddenly, recalling that she had said she was trying to find her way around campus to avoid getting lost the next time. Enthusiasm was bright in Ayaka's eyes, as she suddenly clasped Aoi's hands. "Why don't you come to lunch with Xeon-san and myself? It might help to familiarize yourself with Mahora, and I'm...rather new to all this. Maybe it would help if I spent more time with..." She paused suddenly. What did one call people like Aoi, Raine, Malfrost, and Regan? 'You people' didn't fit. Made them sound like something hazardous.

Malfrost stood up from the bench and stretched for abit before he gave Aoi and Ayaka a light smile,"Well...I'm ready to eat then...shall we go eat?" Malfrost offered Ayaka his arm again, he could really get used to this.

Instead of taking his arm, Ayaka greeted Malfrost's arm with a pile of bags, while she thought, looking around the campus. She looked absentminded, lost in her own mental map of the campus.It seemed as if Ayaka was deciding which place to take them. Something fancy? Something casual? Chinese? Japanese? Certainly nothing poor, or dirty.
Ayaka didn't even notice she'd dropped a bomb of shopping bags on Malfrost; she'd done it instinctively. "Where to go..." She murmured to herself, walking a bit away, completely submerged in her thoughts. "Have you two been to Chao Bao Zi?" She asked suddenly, swiveling around. 'It's not too fancy...and it's about the only food cart I like. It's famous around campus, and not too far!' She thought to herself. It seemed as if she'd found a solution.

Malfrost let out a sigh, 'Is this all I am to her....a bag carrier....' Malfrost hid his disappointment with a small smile, "No I can't say I have.....it sounds nice..."

Malfrost turned to Aoi and gave her a small smile, "No, it's alright....I can handle this....." Malfrost didn't make it want to seem like Ayaka was working him too hard, he was worried that if failed to do this...he would lose what little connection he had to her at the moment..even if it was just that of a bag carrier.

((OOC: Oh god. You're making me feel bad, lol. I gotta channel my inner Ayaka. XD))
"Well then, let's go. You two are going to love it." Ayaka gushed, oblivious to Malfrost's discomfort in carrying her bags. It wouldn't be a long walk anyway. Unless Ayaka spotted more things to buy on the way.
Staring off in the direction of the famous food cart, Ayaka looked back at Aoi and Malfrost, gesturing with her hand. "Are you two following? It's lunchtime now, so it might be a little busy. We should hurry." She insisted, quickly hurrying off to Chao Bao Zi.

"Of course...Yukihiro-san...." Malfrost gave her a meek smile as he did his best to keep pace with her while carrying all her bags.

Heh. Aww, look, Kestrel's annoyed. He moves to catch the can, but it's unnecessary. "Raine-san, here, please. Take this." He takes out that Mirror he'd gotten for her. "It isn't as well-enchanted as mine. that would take a large amount of time and resources. Spell components and blah blah blah. That being said, it needs activation, though you don't have to worry about charges or anything. Just squeeze it a bit, and that little bugger in there will shut up for a bit. Why don't you try it out?" He places the Mirror in her hand, smiling gently.

Raine frowned. I can't fight him here...it would just attract attention. I suppose I could humor him, take it, try it out and make him think I care. She thought to herself. Kestrel seemed disgruntled at the idea of her using the mirror. Irritating piece of junk. Raine reached out and took teh mirror from Cirus, and looked at it, before gripping it a bit tighter. Kestrel growled, but his presence temporarily left her immediate consciousness for now.

The mirror, as she squeezes it, activates and the sacred aura would push Kestrel into his corner in Raine's mind. He's gone, or as gone as he gets. For now, anyway. "He's subdued for now, I can sense it. I had a cord attached so you can wear it around your neck, providing easy access. If he proves too troublesome to deal with, just activate the Mirror and you'll get some breathing room. Don't rely on it, though... It would be better to be able to control him by your own power, don't you think?" He smiles softly at her, nodding.

Raine shrugged. "Fine...um, thanks." She said. She frowned a bit at him before going back to her shopping. "Don't think cause I let you help me, that means you're like my mentor or buddy or something." She muttered, heading towards the checkout to purchase her things.
