'Right, um. Well. From this place, there are two main types of NRGY. DRKNRGY and LGHTNRGY. DRK you're already familiar with. LGHTNRGY, it's just weird white-ish purple stuff. It generally gives a nice feeling to people. These two are opposites. They hate, hate, hate each other. There are exceptions, but I'm talking stereotypically here. With me so far?'

'They both thrive off emotions of those who have it. DRK likes feelings of anger, jealousy, and all that sort of negative s**t. LGHT likes hope, love, joy, blah blah. Positive stuff. So that explains why most DRKNRGY users - me before, Zack, and so on - act like twats, and why most LGHTNRGY users are nicer.'

'I'm getting to that. It's a little bit more complicated. Both can be used to attack and defend. Like, um, creating domes to seal someone in, or barricade something, or orbs and whole beams of the stuff. That's the most common usage of it. LGHTNRGY can heal any wound, providing the person using it has enough energy left in them. It can heal other LGHT beings, and those without NRGY at all. DRK, on the other hand, can only heal other DRK. It hurts anyone else. DRK and LGHT are the best weapons against each other, too. DRK will hurt LGHT more than say, a sword through the gut, and vice versa. Still with me?'

'Yeah. Phase shifting - sort of like turning to smoke - and opening portals are a DRK thing. Teleporting is a LGHT thing. Now, there's a third NRGY. Which is the one I have, GRYNRGY.'

'Kind of, yeah. It's neutral. It gives the user the powers of both DRK and LGHT, plus a few extra ones as well. It's apparently unstable and could kill me, but I found a report in here ages ago that said it gives people immortality, so that's a load of bullshit, I think.'

'I'm a hell of a lot stronger with my GRYNRGY though,' Evijan frowned. 'So far I can set things on fire, and do a bit of damage with my fists if something gets close enough. But, without being able to phase shift, teleport, trap people in domes and s**t, if we get outnumbered - which is likely - they could easily distract me and get you too. Not to mention the kid.'
